I would love to improve the Girl Scouts but honestly the model I would choose to improve them is from the BSA so why not accommodate them? They have a good plan. Boys and girls are almost always separate. Girls need to learn more wilderness survival and camping experiences that the Girl Scouts don’t do. The Eagle Scout project is by far the greatest learning experience and everyone should lead on to give back to a community. The Girl Scouts have had plenty of time to adapt to this model but they…

lol downvote me all you want but this subreddit is filled with a bunch of man pussies. This is the truth and I’m thankful that if I have a daughter one day, she will have the opportunity to get Eagle if she wants it. The qualities of leadership should be taught to men and women. The Girl Scouts don’t really teach leadership well in my opinion so that is why it isn’t recognized. They need to either greatly improve or BSA needed to open up to girls to give them an opportunity to become leaders. A …

I didn’t but a coworker has a girl who has gone through it and got Eagle. All the things you are talking about are still there. Troop meetings are all split between sexes. Summer camps do have both but are split strictly between sexes. There is some co mingling but way less than there is at school. They have a good system setup in my opinion.

Yes, the scouts. Girls and boys are in different troops. It’s been this way for a few years now and it’s working out great. All they did was change the name to the inevitable. Im an Eagle Scout and love this news. Some of y’all are getting offended by a company rebranding themselves and… that’s it. It’s not a big deal.
