great ape canine teeth show sexual dimorphism (male canine teeth are significantly larger than females). Females are still much more prominent then humans Which yeah, as you mentioned still nothing to do with eating meat. once we started using tools and fire we could easily consume fresh meat and didn't need large canines to tear apart raw meat anymore. Well also we had hands to hold the meat and tools to cut it, which is another reason canines never needed to be big. Plus our hunting was never …

1000 years ago, not everyone had babies and canines were basically the same as now. In fact even Neanderthals didn't have prominent canines either, which were tens of thousands of years of heavy hunting and meat eating in our system. Canines have literally nothing to do with eating meat in humans or apes. Also as I said, apes in general are almost exclusively herbivores. Chimps diets only have 2% meat their meat is pretty much only insects so it's not a relic of the past for eating and hunting m…

Lol, our canine teeth are pathetic versions compared to real carnivorous animals. Fuck, check out these canines ohhh wait that's a gorilla and they're an herbivore. I think every ape might have bigger canines than humans, and almost all are herbivore save some insect and the very occasional small bird. In fact, as humans ate more meat and hunted more, our canines shrunk. Evolution shows you don't need meat in your diet to be big and strong like a gorillas are, but it does make getting protein ea…

If you have no plans to make this a serious LTR tell her that. Make that a 100% clear. You're offering the same thing that you expect in return, NSA repeated sexual acts. If they want something more, and you've made it clear that you don't want that, they are using you, not the other way around. State what you want, make it clear there's no compromise. If they want something you don't want, then move along. No on should be left hanging based on lies or false hopes that they'll change.

In many mono patients, the spleen—a large blood-filtering gland located in the upper-left part of your abdomen—becomes enlarged. Participating in contact sports or simply moving around too much can put you at risk for a ruptured spleen, a rare but possible complication of mono. Yeah... You don't want a ruptured spleen.

In my opinion a much better schedule would be hitting each body part 3 times a week but not going to fatigue each workout. This is generally the belief for beginner and intermediate. I don't really see many people pushing once a week per muscle group unless it's a very specialized program meant to bust out of a plateau. Plus I think expecting a beginner to max out every time safely is a recipe for injuries.

Scissor cuts are normal haircuts. You think they had clippers 150 years ago? Stop this pseudo masculine BS. It's pathetic. Those with medium to longer hair, or short haircuts on lumpy skulls which a buzz cut would overemphasize the irregularities.

Baldness CAN be hot, which is a huge difference from what used to be thought of back in the day. A few faces look better, most are about the same, and some look worse. Overall its not a huge loss. The worst thing you can do though is often a hairstyle that emphasizes baldness, such as attempting to grow hair long to cover up the baldness at the top of your head. If your fit and can grow some solid scruff, you'll be fine. Without hair you want something to frame your face and keep it distinctive …

I disagree with this post for quite a few reason. I think claiming that women neotenous in terms of physical characteristics is not the same as brain maturity. First of all, women are pretty much objectivley more neotenous terms of facial features, body hair, and vocal cords. They also are less neotenous in terms of fat distribution though and certain bone structures like hips and legd. So I think the difference is a bit overstated. More to the point, this difference is caused by sex hormones. T…

I think focusing on whether she's a slut misses the point. Will she cheat on you, idk? Her having sex during moments you weren't exclusive isn't that much of a predictor. The fact that she claims she doesn't want to sleep around and espouses traditional values, but still does sleep around and is only 18 shows she's probably not LTR material. She doesn't seem to know what she wants yet, and that's a red flag. If she doesn't know what she wants then she's not LTR material, not because she is or is…

If you've never met one of these guys, that's probably a problem with your ability to judge bad apples. Every group has bad apples. Groups using violence(even for good) have bad apples just looking for an excuse to use it. Every cop I know admits this, even military member I know admits this, every constable, community watch or just plan martial arts practitioners has admitted this. If you can't admit there are bad apples, that probably says a lot about you.

As with martial art, gun toting people have a similar problem, they aren't all good people. Anyone who's been around these groups knows there's quite a few people who are just itching to hurt someone. They are psychopaths who are looking for the "self defense" to violently assault or kill someone. They do not make up the majority, but they do make a significant population. Voices in men change after puberty reasons not related to testosterone, but changes in stiffness in the larynx and cords. It's the passaggio of a singer is relatively stable but the timbre isn't. And if testosterone were a cause you'd need three things to happen. One is a significant increase in testosterone that is higher than what occurred in puberty, and two for this to be constantly and consistent increase that lasted for months to years. Third you'd need your body to be receptive to testost…

There's two types of nasallity. There's nasal airflow and nasal resonance. Both are important, both have their limitations Certain sounds have nasal airflow, like , m,n, and ng. Vowels don't. If you experience nasal airflow of any significant level on the vowels in english, that one thing. Then there's nasal resonace. Essential in all sounds of speech, but should be balanced with chest resoance and oral resonance. Now there's a ton of reasons why balance in resoance is off. You might have a tens…

Partially because voices aren't that well correlated with testosterone, but more correlated with how your body responds to testosterone. In fact many peoples testosterone levels are pretty similar, but some are much more sensitive, and specifically individual parts of the body. Testosterone and the voice does not work that way at all. You are experiencing a placebo, no doubt. Even if you got castrated and produced zero testosterone your voice would remain the same. People make careers off of the fact that hormones will not change your voice after puberty in men.

Try this: Hold your nose and read something. If you detect that your voice sounds "nasally" it means you are speaking through your nose and throat more than you should. This is true on non nasalized sound, but you should feel and sound nasaly on many sound like n, m, ng, k, p, and others. This is only about nasal airflow though. If you have a bright twangy voice, then it's enterily different aspect. A better method might be to hum with lips loosley touching and feel vibrations on the lips and th…

Efficieny is reasonably defined as(technical definition google gave me) "the ratio of the useful work performed by a machine or in a process to the total energy expended or heat taken in." while CoP is heat supplied/removed(useful work) over is the work consumed by the heat pump(total energy expended). While the difenition of "Thermal efficiency" is well defined and different from CoP, CoP does meet a technical definiton for efficiency. So it's a measure of eff…

100% of the kilowatts you're paying for get used to heat the place. No. You are paying for the waste in each unit of kilowatt too. yWhile it's proportional increase, the electric companies don't run a loss. You pay for it in you per kilowatt rate. If it's 90 out and you're cooling to 72, that's an 18 degree difference, so only an 18 degree gradient trying to get through your insulation. If it's 32 out and you're heating to 66, that's a 34 degree difference. Yeah, that's part of it, but honestly …

Well this is technically true for any appliance in your house. Even your television and lightbulbs, but that's not really important. You are forgeting how energy reaches your house. That's the real measure of efficiency, and since so much is lost getting to your house and making the power plant, versus say having gas delivered to your house. There's a lot of inneficienies when trying to get energy into heating your house, it would be absurd to ignore them, since they are built into the cost.

Too late, dictionary already relaxed the use of literally. That fight is over. We lost. Also I think the expression freezing to death for hypothermia, even in say 40 F gives this use of literally a bit more tooth, as supposed to the much more figurative use of freezing that could be used. In addition your definition is only legitimate for freezing water(while the most common use) , but something can be cold enough, say to freeze metal, or fats, or a variety of other substances, hence any cold te…

You aren't wrong. My electricity heated and cooled apartment. Even with a shit AC unit, making it 72 in the summer and 66 in the winter, it took about 3 times the energy to heat the place. Scientifically, it's caused because and AC moves heat out of the room to outside and thus can actually operate at above 1000% (yeah)efficiency. A heater just takes electricity or gas into heat, lower efficiency. (50%?) Any place north of the Mason Dixon line probably has this issue, although if you live in the…

Male voice continues to mature a lot until 30s some even longer. The voice becomes less flexible and darker, although gradually. This is known to any opera singer, it's not just training and conditioning, men need to be in 30s and 40 to sound fully mature. Also in terms of normal speech, a ton of men drink and smoke and these gradually destroy the voice, making more masculine, darker and deeper.

Preference is saying I enjoy the high cheekbones in Asians over African Americans in general of your partner. it's another thing to refuse flat out just because they happen to also like high cheekbones and have dated an Asian. I guess you can have a "prefrence" for all white coworkers and expect all coworkers to only have white friends and family. I don't think it's called a presence if you refuse to work with anyone who has a black friend. That's just racist.

I think it's higher than 99%. The kids with Add respond differently to the drugs. They get slowed down, and very calm, while those who don't have it get tweaked. It's why it's so easy for kids to give it to others, as those with ADD don't like it cause they are basically downers, while those without ADD have it act as uppers. Lots of kids get "diagnosed" with Add, try the drugs and end up feeling tweaked out on them like normal people do, and stop taking them.

The 40/60 went both ways. Its just a heuristic, but it because it goes both ways, it provides a wide range of possible ratio. Heck, id be happy with even 33/67 split. The 30% should be higher as there are some factore that affect women stronger when going for advanced degrees. The thing is even at 30%, computer science still has a bigger gap than mathematics, so it can't be because women are afraid of math. This would only explain things up to a 2:1 ratio at most, not a 3:1 as is in computer science. Also my last point explicitly stated I wasn't expecting 50/50 in every field.
