I'm already banned from there for participating in r/tumblrinaction back in the day. Don't sweat it. The mods there have some issues, wanting it to be a... Years ago we called it a "SWJ safe space", but I don't think those are the right words to use these days. Basically, they're controlling and can suck it. (also, what brigades? From here??? I'd like some proof pls lol)

I remember seeing a post about this recently. There's a lot of "ew men, men are gross, why not just like women" posts. Which is hurtful to men (I mean, I'd be pretty hurt if women told me I was a horrible gross person on the regular), and hurtful to women who like men. And of course, as you mentioned, bisexuals. Its also hurtful to lesbians who may have been with a man in the past. It's like "ew, you had sex with a man? You're gross". On TOP of that, it's hurtful to trans men. A trans man may wa…

Yep! Got banned years ago for TumblrInAction. And, (this might have changed from before) in order to appeal your ban you basically have to beg them to unban you and promise you'll never use those subs again. Its fine, though. If they don't want to have a calm, polite discussion about things, that's on them. It is a bit cheap to use a bot to do it, and I wish Reddit would actually do something about that portion of it.

I truly believe it's because in the past, it wasn't seen as a choice. You WERE going to grow up and get married and you WERE going to have children and THAT was your whole identity. It wasn't a role, it was an identity. And being forced into this identity, in my opinion, makes for a disgruntled woman who is controlled by their unwanted identity. But, as you said, a weak spirit, or in my analogy (is that even the right word?) an unwanted identity, leads to an inability to handle the weight. It's …

Seconding this. Developing that Customer Service Face is a valuable skill. You can be pleasant on the outside, but screaming bloody murder on the inside.

Discord also has some nice bots to filter out creeps and generally unwanted behavior. I've seen some very well managed communities on discord that are better handled than some subreddits.

As someone who also works e-commerce, seconding this. I'd love to outsource my customer service stuff. My boss agrees with me we just have to hire someone for it! It's not that I don't mind it, but since we're not available on the weekends, I come back to a billion messages on Monday why their package didn't ship over the weekend. If you have the skills, Upwork is a great way for some extra cash. I outsourced building a spreadsheet to Upwork, and it was great!

I've been using Yummly, and it's pretty good! I use it for my meal planning and it can make a shopping list based on your recipes. And boy is there a LOT of recipes.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
