I am at a point where I can confidently hold eye contact with another person longer than what is normal. Do you often initiate eye contact (aka looking at her until she meets your gaze) or do you only lock eyes if she initiates? I think it comes over as a bit agressive if I look at her until she does herself.

Smile. I hate myself a bit ever time eye contact breaks and I should have smiled....You can't really force a smile when it happens so fast though and you realize it a split-sec. too late.
