So in the past in Greece, the age of retirement for men was 65 years old and for women 55 until a guy went to the retirement office and asked for a pension at 55 citing the article of the constitution about equal rights. It became big news and they changed the retirement of process. I was always told how feminism was about equality and fights for the rights of both genders, but then I asked "why didn't any feminist say something about this?".

The IT stopped having many women for two reasons. 1) Women used to do mainly the work of compilers. Basically when you would write your algorithm, you would take it to a lady and then she would transform it to machine language. Now it's automated. 2) In the 70s there was a "battle" for which direction programming should go. There was the creative part and the mathematical part. Most women were in the creative part and most men on the mathematical one. The mathematical one won.

The fact that now it's recognized and downplayed instead of being denied shows some good progress. Keep the good work boys!
