It is pretty easy for a US citizen to get a 1 year work visa though, just teach English.

The problem is that if your gal shows interest in crap like that, it's already too late really. Agreed. You are past the point of no return for an LTR.

Divorce happens. A solid way to avoid alimony is to have your wife working through your marriage, ideally making quite a bit of money. Very solid advice.

Once you apply, you need to complete a federal student aid profile here, https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/ it will inform you of all federal assistance available. Additional assistance info can be requested from your school AFTER this is completed.

Only if they were a co-signer. Otherwise your estate pays the debts in order of seniority until there are no remaining assets. NEVER BE A CO-SIGNER.

This is great advice. I have had zero success trying to actively manage the behavior of other people. Even if she seems compliant when you are around, she will do what she wants when you are away.

I was an EE major, but switched to a CIS major my sophomore year because I hated the math. I became a programmer and am now a senior manager in IT.

Life for me is mostly about people. Great job in a crappy town with a shitty boss loses to so-so job with a great team in a great place every time. Engineers can do almost anything if they have the temperament for it. Finish your degree, then focus your job search on who you will be working with and where you will live. Give it 6 months and then change it up if you want to.

MDs in a partnership usually manage things to work reasonable hours. My friend is an MD who loves his job, works 4 days a week and makes $200k+. But you are right, he gave up his 20's and most of his 30's to get there.

Work out with body weight, you don't need a gym membership to lift. You have presented 2 bad choices and asked the group to advise. Go back to your wife, if she challenges you, then tell her to get the divorce papers and sign them or shut up, then you work to improve. Measure your progress with her until you don't suck and then decide. I have very little hope that you will do the work needed to improve.

The answer doesn't matter. You won't fix yourself either way. You haven't even started lifting or eating well yet and those are EASY. You don't take responsibility for any of your bad actions or choices. You are failing at everything so far, you haven't shown that you are worth the time to help.

White guy here, I shower daily but only use soap on the pits and ass. I use deodorant, pits stink in hours without it. No shampoo, short hair. Love it.

Art is still valuable as a designer of aesthetically pleasing products. When the cost of production is equal for all producers, design is what will really matter. See Apple vs everyone for the last 10 years.

She doesn't even realize it herself, this stuff isn't premeditated because women like this don't stop for a second to think it through. It is purely driven by emotion.

I thought the same thing. Paying for her gym membership during a divorce?!

I figured it was time to wine dine and close. Next time, try close, then wine and dine.

I found this out by failing about 100 different ways with passive/subordinate phrases. A simple command; "Lock the door" as she passes it on her way from the bathroom to the bed. Not enough time to hamster an excuse, she either locks it or she doesn't. Sometimes she whines a bit, sometimes not. But damn, a lot easier then the stupid shit I used to say.

You are the one with the problem. You get to the venue, and the evening that she put together could still be a success, yet you are so butthurt that you want to try to argue her into apologizing. Agreed. What someone SAID 5 minutes ago doesn't matter. If it matters to you, you are butthurt. Understanding that if I am focused on what someone said 5 minutes later, I have a frame problem, has helped me alot.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
