Jesus, that is a surprisingly high amount that I did not anticipate, but in the same article it states "About 1.270 million women and 1.267 million men were victims of sexual violence." That's really not comparable at all, I got to experience catcalling (as a man) in Thailand, with women grabbing/touching my arms, glutes, once even with a crotch grab and pretty frequent catcalling, this is "funny" about one time when you get attention you're not used to - and then it's a constant feeling of annoyance. 1	Are men inherently seen as disposable by society? Arguably true for a lot, I'd think so too. Now I am open to have my views changed with proper evidence and studies, but generally I believe that a naturalistic view is often explanation enough for a lot of social roles we have nowadays.
