There was actually a Huffington post article written by a freaking licensed psychologist on this... Her husband committed suicide the day she told him in brief she wanted a divorce before leaving for work. It goes on demonizing and infantilizing the guy about his emotional verbal outbursts before giving anecdotal stories of abusers using their suicide to give their abuse victims one final unhealing scar before landing on her finding healing by realizing she's the real victim. Beyond disgusting.

Eh, you don't really see it much outside of comedy... And even then it's usually just an occasional side character or an isolated episode or few out of hundreds (South Park/Simpsons/Family Guy/Always Sunny have all had episodes with some commentary on misandry). Shameless does stand out a bit for me though... Albeit everyone in the show is more or less a sociopath, it doesn't lean away from storylines where female characters use, abuse, or destroy men for gain or abuse the system to their advant…
