I used to have success using OKCupid for online dating before it got bought and became tinder-fied because you could send messages without matching. Women might actually shock horror read your message and the long bios gave you something to talk about. The tinder format pushes towards low effort which hurts all involved. I hate it tbh. I dunno about the old old days before OLD entirely. If people are claiming it was easier where do they mean though? In clubs/bars? I reckon thats pretty much the …

I want to go through this text with a red pen and circle all the bits in teacher handwriting that are waffling to make word count and don’t further a concise argument.

Delibirate eye contact is its own kind of initiation though. Guys who completely cold approach without any kind of signal are setting themselves up for hard work.

There are ugly people who are boring as hell too. The thing is, you have no incentive to struggle through a conversation with them. With a pretty woman you're engaging her desperately hoping she'll say something that will justify the effort on your part.

Kinda....? I feel generally more secure dating wise post 30 than I did in my 20s. But I also don't look over 30. I dont really believe in SMV because that implies it can be quantified as a kind of passive thing. I do things differently than I did at 20. (I dont wait for women to approach me. I go out more. More confidence in general. I work out more and groom better.) Financially though I have less time. I dated more in my 20's because I had more free time to do it in. Also men and women in thei…

Oh yeah I know that girl, totally you should stop seeing her. Real bad news trust me. No wait no I don't. My mistake, I've never met her or you or her ex boyfriend and I know very little about any of your lives.

To be clear I hate Tate but one of his videos passed my feed the other day and he is weirdly funny in an absurd way. Watching it something hit me: he has an immensely “teenage” energy to him. Like he reminds me of every kid I knew around that age who was a shit talker. I totally get why he goes viral among tik tok crowd. Andrew Tate’s ideology seems to be extremely incoherent and contradictory. This is one of the things about shit talkers that gives them their weird charisma. They’ll say a bunch…

Well, yeah. Sometimes people just don’t want to talk to you. All of those are kinda soft rejections though. That’s what most approaches at a bar or whatever are like. Some women are open to talk, some give a “I’m just here to talk to my friends” type soft rejection, some just blank you. You just go “cool” and walk away. Alive.

It depends where you go. I frequently go out alone. If you’re someplace where there’s some kind of draw (eg a band playing) you don’t really need an excuse to be there. If youre a regular and know the bar staff or other regulars then you have some social proof so you don’t look like a lone wolf. Raves, not clubs don’t care if you’re on your own. If you’re on your own in a new city people get real excited when you tell them you don’t know anyone or anything.

No straight woman would ever date someone who looks like James Charles. Guys who look like that clean up with bi women though.

Men are usually expected to be handsome, tall, with a full head of hair and a big penis. Most men don’t go bald until their 30s at least when they’re aging out of the hookup game anyway and so it matters less. And women don’t know your penis size until they’re about to have sex with you.

Women can now have sex with hundreds of times without being a prostitute or having to date and commit to a man. You are vastly overestimating the number of women with triple digit partner counts. If your hypothesis was true, that 1) this was common and 2) that they were only having sex with 25% of men those 25% would have to have body counts approaching the thousands.

he literature is pretty clear with the statistics. Higher body count in women is correlated with higher prevalence of mental health issues, personality disorders, drug use and cheating. What does it say about men? The guy with the highest body count I ever knew was a habitual liar (I know he wasn't lying about how many women he slept with because I saw him at work, but he had no problem lying to them). Wasn't rich but had no problem going into debt to appear like it. Drug addict and sex addict. …

Muscles on a guy are like the equivalent of huge boobs on women. Most men, if asked will say something like: normal boobs are fine. Big pornstar tits are excessive, fake boobs especially aren't attractive. And theyre not totally lying, most guys are happy with an attractive woman without huge boobs. But a woman walks in with a massive rack - men will look. It's an attention grabber.

These days people are pushed online though, video games are cheaper than going out drinking. Steaming is cheaper than going to the movies. Porn is free and comes straight to your house. Rent increases fuck over places to socialise as well, less cheap hangout spots.

Also, theres one big factor that I think doesent get credit whenever the topic of "young people having less sex" comes up - economy is in the toilet, young people have no fucking money. In order to socialise you need money not just for 'dates' but just to hang out places, go to bars, own a car and your own place.

"you're doing it wrong, do it like the other guys". I mean this just sounds like you may actually be doing it wrong. It sounds like an excuse to be bad but want someone who isnt experienced enough to know it could be better.

When okcupid was good before it got tinder-ised and I was single I had the opening message down great. Two paragraphs about two things in her profile, dont take more than two minutes, include something that relates to yourself, send. I got responses enough to go on a date or two a week and since theres only so many hours in the day thats enough. The tinder style swipe first format is dogshit and it is skewed against men. Your opening message can count for a lot.

David Goggins. Who has done some cool stuff, but is just a basic motivational speaker. this highlights a big issue in what's being asked though- someone like goggins has lived a remarkably impressive life. But he doesent give advice about how to get women in the club or whatever. But then if he was the kind of person concerned with feeding the YouTube algorithm guides on how to get women in the club, he wouldn't have lived the life he did. Most of the good male role models are guys who just put …

Counterpoint: this isnt that big a deal. There are social circles I've known where everyone ends up banging each other at some point, and it causes drama sometimes yeah, but they get over it. Also, social groups dissolve, change and end. Someone moves away, someone hets a job and starts spending their Fridays with a different crowd. A couple meet within the group get married and settle down with kids and stop hanging out as much. Maybe some inter group relationship drama causes friction but, its…

This works even better with women with naturally high sex drives. The women who originate from highly promiscuous cultures like the Brazilian women, the Argentinian women, the South African women, the Angolan women etc etc are going to respond quite positively to a dude hitting on her hard, with compliments and attention. This raises another thing which is that men from those cultures tend to not be coy about this either. Tell a latin man or black guy he's not supposed to compliment women becaus…

But, I don't think it's good guidance to tell dudes to not escalate things with comments about liking how the woman looks. Not only is it deceptive (to the woman), but I just don't think it's a good strategy. Agreed entirely. This is what I would like to convey to /u/CountC0ckula . This kind of advice ("don't pay compliments its beta" or whatever) kept my dick dry for many years. Its bad advice for several reasons in part because there isnt any 'loss of power' from a good, non-lame or weird comp…

It is clearly a compliment, whether or not theres subtext underneath it does not make it not a compliment. And my point is its not literally just a binary yes/no attractiveness thing either, the fact that he says shit like that makes him more attractive in the saying of it. It's way different than "I like your hair, can you tell me how you style it so well?" or something of this sort. This to be sure isnt a great compliment ('gay best friend' vibes even.) I mean I'm not disagreeing with you that…

That’s splitting hairs. “You’re hot” is obviously and clearly a compliment. It’s just not a thirsty one because of the context it communicates with its bluntness (as in the very fact he delivered it so matter of factly rather than giving some stammering overwraught thing about her eyes says a lot about him and is itself attractive) He himself was not especially physically attractive, average looking guy, wispy faucial hair sloppy skate punk style and energy. The fact that he said stuff like that…

On an initial approach the goal is just to say whatever keeps the conversation going and has a flirty vibe. A good approach so is entirely dependant on the situation and where its going that its hard to make a blanket rule like that. I knew a guy who would just blurt out shit like "woah you're hot" on meeting women. It worked for him often enough. They'd do a surprised laugh a lot of the time. He had a lot of energy, didnt really care that much what people thought of him and was there for a good…

Fair. My point is that theres a social pressure against men saying it loud though, so that skews the perception of what 'every man' thinks, since the ones who care negatively are the ones shouting about it and the ones who dont care are not. The mature thing to do is to not care or not ask. But then people like that probably aren't having that conversation with their buddies to begin with. Its a very college bro conversation topic: "what would you do if you found out your girlfriend had sucked l…

Personally, I love dating women. Because I dont take it that seriously and just see what happens. But it took some work to get to that point. Story: I used to have a guy friend (past tense because he was exhausting) who was a superficially attractive guy: tall, good looking, but very difficult to get on with as soon as you got to know him a little because he was extremely whiny. Anyway he was addicted to tinder hookups because he loved female attention and got enough matches to give the good bra…

I'm talking about the ones who dont tell anyone though, even reddit, because they don't actually care that much. Reddit naturally has a selection bias towards discontented people. No ones yelling "my girlfriend slept around and IM NOT BOTHER BY IT" even if theyre out there.

On the other side i know plenty of Men that label a Women with a high bodycount automatically as "not wifeable" plenty. The rest doesnt matter This is the kind of thing men wouldn't admit to, because its weird to say otherwise. No ones gonna say to the guys "oh yeah its totally fine with me if my gf slept around, she's fucked a whole lot" because its bad image. But how many guys out there know their partner has a high n count and just...dont tell anyone? I'm reminded of the urban legend that Nan…
