If she's pretty yes. Ugly socially awkward women? Seriously? Most men want extroverted warm hearted expressive women with "big" personalities. Most men don't even like introverted women unless they're super pretty and can give off a musrtious beauty vibe.

He kept me around for 7 years ,(I won't say dated as he would never commit). He left me three years ago. They got engaged after a year and married last summer. He cut off all contact with me two years ago. I only found out he was married through a friend. I loved him with all my heart and miss him every day. I gave up on dating. It's pointless anyway for me.

Maybe I am ugly then. I don't even know. As I definitely don't get "plenty" of offers of dates on any dating app. I deleted them as I got so sick of the same old thing. Match talk a bit ghost start again with someone new. And the matches are few and far between I don't know how to rate people. These men weren't models. They weren't Brad Pitt or Chris Hemsworth or Henry Cavill. You wouldn't have looked twice at them in the street. Averagely attractive maybe. Same for the women they married. Prett…

My face is not pretty or neotenous. It's kind of long and have a big nose. My eyes are small. My mouth is also a bit small. My friend calls my features "striking" and "strong" because she's being kind and I wish she wouldn't. Because men don't like strong striking features on a woman. Especially a white woman. A woman being 5'8" is too tall for most men in a country where the average woman is 5'4" and the average man is about 5'7-5'10". Unless you "look like a model" (skinny long legs short tors…

What does average and unexceptionable in a woman mean to you though? Is it "I'm willing to date average and unexceptional as long as she's no older than 21 hot blonde has a great ass" etc ...

FStatistics from where? From that OK Cupid study which has been proven to be flawed? "Find attractive" is not the same as "do anything about it". You are neglecting to mention that the survey found that the top % of male likes went to the top % of women. Both men who rejected me told me I was "attractive" (possibly to soften the blow I don't know) but the point was I wasn't sufficiently "attractive" for them to date and marry. You have to be mind blowingly hot to get a man to commit. Unless he's…

The only men who will "work with it" are the ones who have no better options. If they can get better they will get it. You are looking at men who will only settle for you and they are usually too broke and unsuccessful to do anything.

I'm not fat or ran through though. I'm just a plain boring brunette who is too tall at 5'8" for men to be attracted to. And I've literally never slept with a "Chad" in my life so I didn't waste time being ran though by them.

What does "on balance" mean? There is not a single man who is interested in me currently or has been for the last few years. I don't know many single men but the ones I know absolutely aren't interested in me. No neither of these men were above average or Chad. One was 5'10" from a non white ethnic minority race. Averagely attractive but not Brad Pitt. You wouldn't really look twice if you saw him in the street. Just a normal man. The other was white and similar, not top 10% or anywhere near and…

I am in EU. I live in a reasonable sized city. I am not hot. I'm not hideous I'm 5'8" which I know is tall for a woman but not modelesque ie skinny with long legs. I am not fat though. I have a fairly average body and my face isn't that pretty (not hideous or deformed but not super pretty or neotenous). I get zero attention. I absolutely don't have a "pool". I know a fair few men most of whom are married. The single ones want pretty blondes or petite asians. I'm too big and plain for them and no…

I am 5'8", white but dark hair and eyes plainish features (not hideous but not that pretty) not skinny but not fat, just generally not "hot" or what man go crazy for. I've had crushes on multiple men who wouldn't even consider dating me. I confessed to them and they told me they only saw me as a friend blah. And went on to date ... And marry ... Pretty blondes. Not supermodels but pretty girl next door types. And no none of these men were "Chad". I'm not sure if I am a "typical" woman or not. Bu…

Why do you always go to "fat" as a reason men might not want a woman. Men don't like me because I'm 5:8" with dark hair and eyes (I'm white) and not super pretty. They want young hot pretty neotenous blondes mostly. I'm not even fat. I'm just not "hot". I can't control my genetics my eye colour, my height or my face shape and bone structure. Anymore han you can control being short and bald. Please stop with this BS. It's much more complicated than "fat".

Amd men pick the most physically attractive women they can get do what's the problem? I don't have a pool of guys to pick and choose from as I'm not hot. Not all "women" are selecting and rejecting men willy nilly.

I really don't see the issue. I'm 5'8" white brown eyed brunette with a not stereotypically pretty face which puts me non-existent in most mens eyes. I have good traits but not one man cares about them. I know loads of partnered men who are under 5'10". The man I adored who abandoned me for a hot 10 years younger blonde was 5'10" and he had no issue getting her (and breaking my heart in the process). So I really think men are exaggerating here. Most women when you ask then about their desired ch…

So if three women show interest in you - even if only slightly - but you find two of them unattractive aren't you also "choosing"? You chose which one to pursue. She then has a choice whether to pick you or the other men that may be into her. That's her choosing. And yes she might end up going with a better looking taller or richer dude. But the other two women who were interested in you were deselected so have no chance to choose you as you didn't choose them. That's you choosing.

So men want 30% of women. They don't want old fat or ugly And women want around 30% of men (tall handsome rich etc). They don't want short bald or poor. Thus proving the point of this post

I would need cosmetic surgery to have a chance and I can't afford. Men have still used me as a good enough placeholder. That's not the same as "oh she still had sex or had a relationship".
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 06:35 AM

Still doesn't make them desirable. If you are young slim with no kids but have an ugly face or socially awkward men still won't want you. I know as I was this girl.

No they don't. Ugly women don't date all the time. They get settled for sometimes by men who will use them until someone more attractive comes along that's all. That's the only experience I've had as a below average woman (I'm not fat).

Women however also value other things like personality intelligence career character and take this into account when they consider if a man is attractive or not. Men focus on looks first and anything else is a bonus.

The men who are accusing are the ones women don't find attractive. I'm one of the background noise women who men don't care about. I am fully aware of my worthlessness. I am well aware of this. I don't bitch and say they should change. It just helps to hear the situation validated and not be told I'm lying.

But I'm constantly seeing the same thing said to women about sex and commitment. "Your league is who will commit to you not who will fuck you, Chad isn't your league because he screws you on a Tuesday night when he's bored". Fine. So if a woman's "league" is who will agree to be her boyfriend, isn't a many league who will agree to be his girlfriend?

Visit r/foreveralonewomen or similar subs and you will see many stories of women who are effectively barred from relationships (I am ignoring the word "sex" as it's not relevant. The vast vast majority of women don't want casual sex and being used as a pump and dump is not in any way nice or validating for a woman even if men think it is). There are women who find it almost impossible to get into a relationship unless she agrees to date the 64 year old toothless meth head who just wants a place …

I mean I'm nowhere near her weight but men don't find me attractive as I have "strong" and 'unique" features (as a friend claims), am white but dark hair and brown eyes so no blue eyes or light hair which is what is mostly wanted in white woman and at 5'8" am too tall without having an emaciated leggy model aesthetic. I'm also shy and unconfident so don't have an "amazing" personality. There literally isn't anything I can do to make myself attractive it make men approach me.

But I told you that men generally don't initiate with unattractive women. And that unattractive women often have to initiate with men. Who are cold and rude in response.

I agree unattractive men can struggle but I outlined some of the factors which may go slightly in their favour. But I believe my initial point was to refute the idea that "women" just sit back and wait to be approached. You can't talk of "women" as a homogenous group because the differences are stark. The treatment a very attractive woman will receive is vastly different to the treatment an unattractive shy woman will receive. I've tried to outline it above.

I can only use my personal experience. And it is as I said. I know several unattractive and shy men in relationships. I don't know any unattractive and shy women in them. Building a relationship is a barrier for unattractive and shy women as men aren't interested in them. They don't approach. So I don't know how these relationships develop. Mostly the attention in the social group will gravitate towards the prettier more interesting woman. I don't know how the unattractive shy woman ends up in a…

Who do these shy unattractive women get attention from? The reason it might be easily for a shy unattractive man than a shy unattractive woman is what I outlined above. If you're socialising after church or in the break room at work most women are brought up to be sociable and polite. So why the shy unattractive man says "hey how are you feeling? Is your cold better?" Or some other innocuous opener (and I've never met a man shy enough not to do that if he likes a woman) she will chat at a polite…

Its actually in my experience for a shy unattractive man to get a girlfriend or wife than a shy unattractive woman. Women generally don't approach. Men will even if shy usually pluck up courage to speak to a woman he likes (it may not be pickup artist level of charisma but I have never met a man shy enough not to make conversation with a woman - usually we are talking about merging women in social situations like work church hobbies etc rather than randomly hitting on someone whilst out and abou…

Most of the shy unattractive men I know have wives and girlfriends. They just aren't dating hotties or models. Women are generally more accepting of men being shy and such as they tend to be looking for things like integrity and a caring personality when selecting a long term partner. They are more holistic in what they consider attractive and will take personality and other character traits into account. Men really only care about looks. If she's educated kind and funny that's a bonus.

So isn't ruling out men for height or looks just women "not being attracted"? Isn't women ruling out broke guys the same as "not wanting baggage?" Broke guys can be very difficult to date and being married to one can be hell.

When you say "unattractive women" do you mean genuinely objectively unattractive women or women who just don't meet your standards? Because if your standards are high than even an average looking woman (and this can also be dependent on age) would appear "unattractive". As I said an unattractive married women might have been hot when younger and simply aged or put on weight. Most average men won't dump their wives due to this (narcissists do). Some unattractive women also will be extroverts who …

I don't think I'm at an "extreme end of attractiveness". I described myself. I'm probably a bit below average but not hideous. I can look almost average with a bit of makeup. I wear my hair long and dress to dress in a feminine way. But I can assure you that once you dip even slightly below average, interest from men absolutely tanks. And I mean all men. Because women don't choose a man based on whether he will abuse them or not Women choose men who are interested in them and who they feel attracted to and have chemistry with usually. That's really all it is. No different to how men choose women. Do you deliberately seek out ugly women or abusive women for some unknown weird reason? No you go for women you connect with and you find attractive. Women do the same with men. Unfortunately some of these men turn out to be abusive but that doesn't usu…

Women don't reject less masculine men because they feel judged. They mostly reject them as they're not attracted to them. Just as men have things that they are attracted to like curves youth light colouring feminine features etc women (straight women) tend to be attracted to masculine traits like height muscles deep voice strength etc. I'm not saying outliers and alternative types of people don't exist (like fetish communities) but they mostly don't care about society's judgement anyway.

She might if very lucky and puts a lot of effort into her photos get one or two who probably swiped on everyone and will unmatch if she likes them back. Attractive women have life easier. If you are a below average woman like me I can guarantee you it's not easier. Nor do we still get approached or get offers of dates. We occasionally get used if a guy is really desperate and just wants a placeholder but even that is rare.

Its not just "one woman having a difficult dating life" though. There are many like me. Maybe not as many as attractive women but still many. And these claims that "it's OK for a woman to be shy as she doesn't have to approach. Men will approach" are totally unfair as they focus only on the attractive women who men will approach. Men don't approach unattractive women. It's OK for attractive women to be shy as men will approach them. That's the correct statement.
