How do you do it? I’m about to move out next week. I don’t have any family or close friends. My kid was what I lived for. I’m really struggling with the awareness that I won’t always be present.

We have several disadvantages to include often earning more and traditionally not having the same access to our children as women.

I’m so sorry, that’s hard. I know that it’s difficult when we aren’t having our needs met and someone is willing to help us feel fulfilled. It is easier to vilify you then for her to take stock for what she contributed

I haven’t been to court yet, but I’ve been told the judge can order her to work and that they consider her earning potential and need. I’d document everything. Like when did she quit her job, do you have texts where she admitted to not paying anything. I feel you on the spousal support. I have no problem splitting assets, forfeiting half my TSP, and paying child support. But the thought of paying her because she refused to work kills me.

lol same- I used to have a core group of friends that I fell out of touch with because of the marriage. Now I’m isolated and going through hell.

This resonates with me. We became roommates. Slept in different rooms, lived separate lives. Her status as a SAHM made me hesitant to move forward. Wishing you the best.

Dude, my life is trash right now. I need any optimism I can get.

Not the worst idea.

This helps a lot, I hear a lot about Washington going hard against the men. Did you use an attorney? If so, may I ask what they cost and if you would recommend any? I’m in Pierce County if that matters.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
