Well different standards already exist, most universities Different standards for charging someone with a crime don't exist. Colleges and companies can have whatever rules they want...that has nothing to do with someone getting charged. That's not at all what I said. If you can prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that a person is guilty they should be punished. The real problem here is that people are convicted of rape when there was definitely reasonable doubt. That is completely separate legislation that I haven't being arguing about. Having punishment for false accusations won't prevent false accusations because they are almost impossible to prove without a confession. To charge someone with a false accusation, you would have to prove, without a reasonable doubt, that the rape did not occur. That isn't possible without a confession. I was just making a generic comment about things that happen to sex offenders in prison. If they go to gen pop in a level 4 prison, someone will find out, and it will be bad. The thing is there would only be real repercussions for those that confess. It's almost impossible to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that someone wasn't raped. So you are only deterring the confession.

I understand that. However, even if you throw false accusers in jail, it would ONLY be the ones that admit it, or have some damning evidence like a video, which is extremely rare. It's just not likely to stop false accusations, when the only way to punish them is when they admit they lied. It definitely should be, but we can't do that for the sole reason that it would deter the rare cases in which the accuser comes clean. It would actually increase the number of falsely accused never getting their name cleared. The few that do come forward wouldn't if they knew they would go to prison for that long. Letting hundreds of guilty go free is worth even just one innocent person not getting charged.

I still don't believe "ketosis" is real. So the only advantage of a keto diet is "self regulating", which just means you feel fuller on less calories. There are no valid scientific studies that prove "ketosis" actually changes metabolic rates, and in fact, it is still calories in calories out. Am I understanding that correctly?

I didn't read it. My son's Endocrinologist at Cooks Childrens Hospital told that to me when he had Xrays taken to help figure out why he is so short. I have the growth charts with his points in them still. It shows the average plateau at 16. Not sure why I was downvoted for telling people what I was told by a professional. Oh well.

Exactly. I get that it sucks for some. I can eat a fried chicken sandwich, and you can eat a grilled chicken sandwich for the same effect on our bodies. You keep saying obesity is effected by genetics, but it's effected by smashing too many burgers and fries with large cokes. Yes...genetics can cause you to burn less calories for similar activities compared to the norm. Most of us know this. However, for the VAST majority, this is gonna be the difference in small amount if daily calories. That means you may have to eat less candy than me to maintain the same weight...that doesn't mean genetics made you fat. The burgers and soda made you fat.

Except none of what you said is true aside from possibly learning bad eating habits from parents. If you are fat, you almost certainly consume more calories than you use for whatever your daily activity level is. Essentially all fat people can easily lose weight by simply eating less and/or eating healthier foods. Note the lack of fat people in 3rd world countries.
