I saw a movie with a female friend who I had a crush on. Then I told her and I just tried to kiss her without any warning... and then she turned her cheek away and texted me later telling me she only wanted to be friends. My own mistake, I know. Still feeling bad.

Well you know, I did get a coffee with her. Unfortunately I wasn't really able to show her that I was attracted, so I ended up awkwardly telling her that I liked her, and it didn't go as well as planned. Then I tried to kiss her, and she turned her cheek away... Then I got home and she told me that although we occasionally have had some nice conversations, she just wanted to be friends. So not the best night, but I'm happy that I tried.

Thanks for the message. I actually just texted her before I read this message. I asked how her ball game went. She wrote back that it went great and they won both games. I wrote that was great and that we should celebrate it - and then I asked her whether she was free tomorrow. Is that completely stupid of me?
