Every month my bank sends me an accounting of the previous months activity of my company accounts. Every month I review it. Not because I don't trust them, but because I want to make sure there are no surprises - that reality is exactly as I anticipate. Never once, in 19 years have I had to make further inquiry. Shouldn't I have this same degree of information about all other aspects of my life, including the health and heritage of my children.

Pull him aside at a good time and say. "I have something to say. You need to take better care of your mental health. Whatever you're doing, it's not working. You need to do something else." Then stfu. Whoever talks next is the one making the compromise.

Humor is the wrong answer to this slight. File a sexual discrimination complaint with HR. If you let this pass without protest, it will happen again, and again, and again. The single act of a woman supervisor rewarding your women co-workers may not be a big deal, but the underlying psychology hurts all men. That is a big deal.

I choose when and where to be a gentleman. Do not mistake my being a gentleman with my being weak.

So, this guy was safely in his apartment with his family, and took it upon himself to go outside and shame people celebrating with fireworks on the 4th of July. Everybody was an arsehole.

Well that's certainly depressing. I also feel joy, satisfaction, and sometimes even loved.

Think of the riots that will occur when men start starving and see others being fed. It will, of course, prove the point "men are bad".

In the early 90s I had a conversation with a feminist where I pointed out that for the past ten years feminists had been b*tching about the fact girls were doing about ten points worse than boys in math and science. In those ten years girls had largely caught up with boys in those disciplines. In those same ten years boys had started out ten points behind girls in reading and writing. After those ten years boys still lagged girls in reading and writing by about ten points.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
