You don't need to be Michael Phelps. Hell, just treading water for an hour straight will knock you out.

That's where I generally disagree. You won't be able to make those sort of judgments about someone you just met that same night. That's not physically possible. Instead, just take a chance with them. If it doesn't work out, that's fine. If it does work out, then there you go. Yes. That is exactly what I meant. I'll jump at the chance, but I'm not totally interested in meeting women in environments where the probability of a connection might be lower in general, such as a bar or club. Not that it…

I know I am not putting in maximum effort to gain weight. Totally not. I also am not interested in gaining as a hobby, and I find the experience tremendously lame. I simply exercise to feel better. Truth be told, I'm not even concerned about having a muscular stature. I'm actually pretty fit for my body type, but I am not a thick person. My wrists are pure bone and skin. In my head, I imagine that these gaunt physical qualities may be seen as less attractive than a guy who has some beef on him, …

I am incredibly self conscious about how thin I am as a male, which leads to insecurity with women and a general frustration with my body type. Basically, it affects my confidence. I don't personally care that I am as thin as I am, but I can't help but feel inferior physically. It's not like being short where the only change one can make is in the mind. I can gain the weight, given tremendous effort on my part. Lifting weights and gorging all day for a couple years. I just wish I had it in me to…

This is why I continue to use OKCupid. I lack the patience otherwise and the all around low odds at the grocery store/street corner are not encouraging. Not to mention the utter lack of chemistry that is almost guaranteed to be an issue.

The reality is that most of us only want to be those guys on paper, while this kind of behavior in practice is dishonest to who we actually are as a people. Sure, I'd love to walk up to a woman and have success nine times out of ten because I'm that dialed in, but the reality is that I'm just not that kind of person. I'd love to be an entrepreneur as well, but it's just not in my blood, and I won't likely get the satisfaction as I do when fantasizing about such a scenario. Most of us just want t…

Strike a balance between modifying your behavior without changing who you are. A lot of guys here want to build up their ego in order to get laid, when that isn't a good representation of who they genuinely are as a person. If your goal is to have a bunch of sex, then by all means inflate your sense of self, work on your game, and alter your behavior around women. If you're goal is to be more personable with people in general, and value lasting relationships with the opposite sex, then you'll pr…

Dancing is definitely a one way ticket to winning women over, and I just can't bring myself to be interested in dancing under any circumstance. It's one the last activities on earth I have a desire to do.

True, though a lack of confidence is more a result of life related fears than it is getting rejected by women. Extreme fear of rejection means lacking confidence. One must improve thy self first. That means modifying your behavior without changing who you are, getting healthy (exercise/nutrition), learning how to look sharp, and breaking ill habits is the best way to build up overall life confidence. Approaching women over and over isn't a long term solution for fixing self confidence. You gotta…

This is all very simple and great advice, but I do have a few questions. If you got it, flaunt it dude! I get that girls where little tight outfits, but me? How tight are we talking here? I don't wear anything baggy at all, but if I get a melvin because my jeans are ramming my chod into oblivion, I'm gonna' have a bad time. I tend to wear nice bright colored shirts and even nicer jeans. I do my hair up, etc. I have bright blue eyes and lush hair. Sometimes I just wonder how metrosexual I need to…

It definitely can work against you. With that said, it can certainly work in your favor. The overall difficulty level might be slightly more challenging when it's all said and done. Some girls are going to be turned on because they think you are cheating on your wife with them. Some are going to be turned on knowing ahead of time that you have an open relationship. The others will not be interested in this dynamic at all. It sounds like a bit of a juggling act. I certainly couldn't manage this, …

Well if they don't know, then they don't know. Does the fact that you do have a wife affect your subconscious when gaming? I'm not totally able to step into a girl's shoes, but I'd imagine many women who aren't merely DTF would find you less enticing as boyfriend type of material once they know you're married, but as you say, they don't know at all so...

I agree with this. I can't think of any true alpha male friends I associate with at all. I often find this type of personality to be overbearing and quite frankly, annoying to be around. I don't think I've ever Regardless, confidence is what's key and bettering yourself overtime so you become more comfortable in social situations of all types, be it around women or in the work place. "Becoming Alpha" (as a human) is not about constantly dominating and forcing others to submit to your will, it's about being the optimal version of yourself. Free of nagging doubts and fears about your own insecurities. It's about mastering those fears and channeling them into action. If any of us were natually alpha, we wouldn't be here -- so it's not a neg on any of us. Keep learning, trying, and staying as true to yourself as possible. This is exactly what I wanted to convey above. Modify you…

Nice job dude! I have killer blue eyes myself, but had never figured out that if a girl says this, she has some level of attraction for you. I know you're still new at this (as am I), but next time you see her ask her something like "What are we doing x-day?" She'll respond. Then say it's surprise or drop some magical hint about what it is you are doing.

This is exactly what happened the first time I was there. I have terrible aim and accidentally pegged a 6 year old square in the face. There weren't any girls around but I did get a high-five from an 11 year old.

I am tired of all that hot ass club shit from fapping to it in porn scenarios anyhow. Real intimacy plus sex is more gratifying for me, personally. I experienced that for about 4 years, and it's been a 3 year dry spell. A couple bjs and some making out thrown in. I must earn a female sire.

Its only creepy if they are not attracted to you. I've heard many explanations relating to the aspect of creepiness in seddit, but this has to be the simplest explanation I've heard, and the most helpful. Stop second guessing ourselves and just go for it. You're only a creep if you plan on wearing a trench coat and sunglasses while trying to pick up women from across the street.

Confidence = attraction. In order to gain confidence you have to make several lifestyle changes and modify your behavior. This means dressing better, eating right, exercising, etc. Everytime I negative thought enters your mind, you lose self confidence. Someone in this subreddit said that he would immediately retract his negative thoughts and turn them into positive ones, even if he didn't feel that way at the time. Eliminate them from your consciousness by not giving them the light of day. Look…

I meant to specify that texting sometime after number closing might encourage her to flake out. This versus just actually calling the person. While texting can be advantageous (as well as unavoidable), I was under the impression that it shouldn't be used as a primary/exclusive form of communication.

I haven't approached a girl or dated since my last relationship in four years, but I'm quickly gaining confidence. I've noticed a huge difference in my behavior and this most certainly does need to be put in the sidebar. B: My body language has improved tremendously. I make eye contact more regularly, which is slowly making me feel more powerful. Leveling up. I've always been a natural with gesturing, so that's clear. I definitely need to slow my movement down at times. I think I might sometimes…

I've been rationalizing this in my head precisely as you've described and it's really helping me get over my approach anxiety. Introverts tend to over think everything in the most analytic way, that they throw off their game entirely. Just stand tall, engage her, speak clearly and at a pace that doesn't come off as hyperactive, and you will make a stranger's day.

This can't be upvoted enough. Just from your opening, I knew that didn't fully apply to me, but I read on precisely because I had some related qualities within myself, that I want to get rid of. I've opened an OkCUpid account and started become more comfortable with the action of approaching women in public. I make eye contact with everyone and have adjusted my posture. Anyways, I could go on, but I'll let some others tap this.

I agree with this completely, as someone coming from a place of bad approach anxiety. What I really like is that you establish a specific date right off the bat. She then has to unexpectedly reference her schedule on the spot. A phone number could be her escape route without hurting your feelings if she's not interested/attracted to you. You go home thinking you scored, she goes home forgetting about you, or she sobers up in the morning and flakes out out of pure social anxiety. In terms of meet…

I doubt I'd personally use any kind of touching in the environment described either. If I step into a girl's shoes outside of a bar setting, I would be weirded out a bit if a male stranger came up in my personal space while I'm produce shopping, and touched me at all. I'm not entirely sold on kino techniques outside a party/bar setting.

I agree with this, but I still love /r/seduction for this reason: You can take all of the advice here and apply it in a way that's beneficial to your own personal goal. For me, I'm not looking to be madly promiscuous. I want to create a bond with women that leads to an emotional connection on some level. Some will go full-blown alpha male, fuck-everything-in-site game plan. I'm looking to strike a balance. That is, I am trying to adopt the assertive qualities of an extroverted alpha male so that…

I'm not one to talk on the subject exactly, but wouldn't this depend on the environment? If I'm in a super market and the only other person in the aisle is a cute girl, getting an IOI by whatever means necessary is a good thing, right? Would this not be a good time to engage her? Maybe pass her by, swing around and gently come up behind her to initiate conversation? Maybe even a touch of kino (lower back perhaps?) before saying something like "I don't mean to interrupt but those your hair looks …

I'm a massive introvert like you whom made less eye contact in my daily life than I even realized. I've been absorbing as much as I can on r/seduction this past week or so, and I have to say, it's been rather helpful. I've been habitually watching my posture and creating eye contact with just about everyone I run into. This entire weekend was spent getting out and practicing eye contact, while smiling, and keeping strong posture. DO NOT LOOK DOWN. In the past when I asserted myself, I'd habitual…

I read something on here that mentioned calling the person instead of sending out a text message. An actual phone call will show her that you aren't like every other guy who just texts. Something like that, but I wouldn't know from experience or anything. Like you, I was in a one long term relationship, wherein I lost my virginity and had plenty of sex. It was great while it lasted, except now I am nearly 26, and have no real active skill sets for engaging women. I've been trying to absorb as mu…
