I got on birth control because of painful periods. It was so debilitating. I know I could not take days off during medical school and residency. I’m not sexually active, never have been. However, I’m in a relationship and when we decide to get married I might get off of it depending on our family planning. I thought about getting IUD but Pap smears are painful for me. Insertion is similar to pap.

Sounds like my advice is bad advice to you. Please do not take it. The whole post is about personal preference. This is my personal preference.

I don’t know about other women. Only speaking on my preference. All the men in my family are bald except for one brother. They all shaved their head and grew out their beard instead of rocking receding hairlines. To me, balding is part of getting older.

Guy 3 has it all. First choice Guy 1 is second choice. As long as he’s not insecure about his height then that’s a turn off Guy 4: real question, can you cuddle with this guy without daily body aches? That’s a no. Guy 6: what does that actually look like? Never met one, so no. Would this be prince? He’s interesting looking but still a no. Guy 5 and 8 are out because we’re talking purely superficial. Not really attracted to white men Guy 2, 7 and 9 are out. Not a fan of long hair on men. Low cut …

Education is a bragging rights in our community. Have you had the opportunity to listen to the older folks talk about their children, the colleges they attend and their majors? It’s a mess. Their faces, more lit than the Christmas tree smh

Hey! My Naija brethren. So you do understand. The clowning will be endless. How can you be a doctor and you’re bringing home someone that did not even finish high school and only collected GED mtchew (in my best Nigerian mom’s voice)

In order of importance Christian. Not just a churchgoer, someone that will fast and pray with me. You must understand that a family unit is a church and we must submit at the feet of Jesus. Must have role models. Older men in your family, friend group, or house fellowship that can chastise you when you’re messing up. They can set you straight with experience and lead you with the word of God Sexuality. Someone that has low count/ virgin. We can learn about each other’s body and try new things. I…

Haha, I agree God said be fruitful and multiply. So, you’re absolutely right.

To be fair, I probably could. I’m a medical doctor and I don’t want to cheat someone out of having a partner that has a lot of time. It’s an acquired taste dating with limited time.

I could see that. I am extroverted so it could be assumed that I’m playing hard to get. I don’t really question people’s intentions because you have the option to pursue what makes you happy. As long as you’re not imposing your views on me/ harming me in the process.

I said relationship, not marriage.

In terms of number? I’m probably a 6/10. I’m not skinny/ overweight. I workout a lot, since I work in healthcare. I don’t wear makeup or any accessories, so maybe it’ll be a higher number if I did.

It differs. There are people that’ll say no, I can’t. I appreciate that because then we did not waste each other’s time. So people were okay with it at first but when I didn’t change my mind, some broke up with me and some cheated so I broke up with them. My longest relationship just drifted because it didn’t “progress” as normal relationships would. None of them was bitter uncoupling.

That was the idea when I made the promise to myself.

Not really. Because then I would have had sex when I got into a relationship which I didn’t. Im not against premarital sex, if it works for you. It’s a promise I made to myself while I was young. Im not even sure I want to get married anymore due to the fact that a union with the wrong person can change the trajectory of your life. I haven’t dated in 4 years. So I might end up living a sexless life.

I’m my late 20s and still haven’t had sexual intercourse. Grew up with parents that are pastors. Learned from a young age that my body is a temple, so I tell men who asked me out that it’ll be a sexless relationship. Our society is different from my parents, because sex is now expected in a relationship.

I can understand why people move away from Christianity. There are many half truths due to misunderstanding of the word. How I wish we could start over and inviting so we can all learn from one another.

The way people describe Christian girls here as traditional and already married in early 20s is interesting. I grew up as Christian as you could be(my parents are pastors and have a church). The daughters in my family are more educated than the sons. They’ve conducted many marriage counseling and seen first hand the importance of the woman’s education in marriage. Did they teach me to submit? Absolutely. But never submit to a man that doesn’t submit to God. A family is a church and the head of t…

This is me. I’m a medical doctor in my late 20s and never had sexual intercourse. Hopefully I find someone who had a count of 0 but probably won’t happen.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
