Not trying to stir up any argument, but the things in the OP ascribed to the ego, aren't coming from the ego. Ego is that thing you use when you are awake and conscious. 3	Ego is just a small three letter word.... I'm nitpicking here, but ego is the psychoanalytic center of consciousness. Without it, we would not be conscious or aware of anything. But I do understand the sense of the meaning when one speaks of the ego in that common sense.
