This is exactly why I prefer anime/3d model porn if I do look at porn. I know that no one on the screen is being forced to have painful/uncomfortable sex.

You're right. I have chronic pain, and when it flares up, my husband and I basically don't have sex for a couple of weeks. He would never pressure me when I feel so godawful, but I feel pressured regardless because I know he wants it. It sucks for us both, but at least I've untangled it enough to not think the pressure is coming from him.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 08:57 PM

Because people who approach only for that are usually only looking for sex. If you want a proper relationship, it's not ideal.

Because with a job you're applying to be someone's subordinate, not their partner. The two relationships are totally different.

Yeah, making bad partner choices as a kid is understandable, I try not to judge my mom too much. I do low-key judge grown ass women who do though, I won't lie.

As long as you aren't too big downstairs and you do a lot of warm up foreplay, I'd say around half of women enjoy it. I am too sensitive for it personally, but have friends that like it! Limit that hard pounding for the end, though, and only for a few minutes.

He wasn't always that bad, but mostly? She just made a bad choice because she was a teen and he was "hot" I'm pretty sure. He looked like uncle Jesse from full house so objectively I know that's true but obviously I do not feel that way! Anyway she got pregnant so they got married, cue 30+ years of him being a complete asshole. Mask comes off for that type of man when a woman gets pregnant and married. What it taught me was to never ever go just on looks. There should be attraction obviously, bu…

Rather than having a "type" I'd say I developed a list of deal breakers and it just so happens that the men without those deal breakers tend to be the same - "soft", in touch with their feelings, intelligent, etc. My type is someone who never ever makes me think of my dad. Rudeness that he's proud of, aggression, yelling, gluttony and selfishness, being incredibly self-centered, bad hygiene, addiction problems... all are deal breakers.

There is something to OP's question, though. A lot of toxic people are particularly adept at social manipulation, so someone that's not toxic but bad at socializing is often passed up for some asshole wearing the mask of a nice person. Women do it too, I've seen plenty of extroverted, highly social, and incredibly toxic women who are in relationships anyway while the introverted women struggle.

This is the answer. I've never felt raw physical attraction to a guy without getting to know him some first. Literally never.

As long as it's only clinical anxiety/depression like you listed, I don't see the issue. Maybe some people are reading it as you saying she should never be depressed or anxious at all, which is a completely different thing. Or maybe they're just offended because it's a very common diagnosis, lol. I have both myself but I'm not offended over someone not wanting that, especially not someone that wants children since passing this shit on would suck!
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 04:46 PM

Everyone has a natural smell, not just their BO. Most people probably don't experience it as strongly as I do, I have a very unusually strong sense of smell. Maybe it's an autism thing. Whether it's down to pheromones or whatever else, it's a huge part of attraction for me. This is just a Wikipedia link and not a peer reviewed study since I'm not at my computer or anything and it's hard to read those studies on a small screen, but it's easy reading and a good overview of scent and sexual attract…

Chemistry comes into play. Someone's natural scent is HUGE, if they don't smell "good" to you then you probably aren't that compatible. I'm married now so I don't date around, but I learned from my first (long distance for over a year) boyfriend that smell is very important. That his smell repulsed me a bit was an important piece of info, I just didn't know it at the time. On an app, you can't pick up on things like that. The sound of someone's voice, the way they move... people are reduced to a…

I'm in Kansas, no marijuana, not even medical and I have too many medical problems to risk getting some unregulated, sadly.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 03:50 AM

It is what it is, I just carry pepper spray and call it a day! But a gun is an absolute no in our house, my poor husband has to store his at his brother's place and they go out to the range together. I'm not against guns, I just know I can't have one lol

I'd be stoked tbh, but I don't know if I even qualify as a feminist by modern standards honestly. Probably not.

I can't own a gun. I get migraines, and not the kind where you just lie down quietly for a minute -- the kind where you're in utter agony and wishing for it to just stop, and you would do ANYTHING to make it stop. I only get them on that level every few months, but when I do I can say without a doubt if there was a gun in the house I'd kill myself to escape that pain. There's a reason the suicide rate is so much higher for people with serious migraines.

I don't know any woman that would be put off by a guy asking first with anal. It's fine to ask for every different "tier" of sex. Ask once for hand stuff, go ahead and ask again if it escalates to oral or piv, and definitely ask before going vag to anal. Otherwise, you really only need to clarify if your partner is obviously uncomfortable/shying away/dissociating.

Physically, there's nothing wrong with him but he doesn't stand out. He actually is pretty tall, so it's not height either. He bathes regularly, he's not too fat or too thin. He's a little awkward and trips over his words when he gets excited, so I guess you'd say he doesn't have game. He's had bad luck career wise and can't afford to impress a date enough to make up for that awkwardness. I asked him if it was okay if I talked with his brothers about it and he agreed, and we're all trying to sup…

I did misunderstand, "dry streak" is a phrase I tend to associate with sex, sorry for that! Honestly, the desire for a relationship is one that's much easier for me to grasp, though it's true I've never had to experience lacking options entirely. My younger cousin is the same way, he just wants a relationship but is pretty much ignored by women his age. He's actually the one that really made me realize that the reality a lot of men experience is vastly different from mine in the first place. He …

I'd like to think I can empathize, but I don't know that I can truly understand. Most (not all) women only experience super high desire levels depending on where they are in their cycle, so even if we have a dry spell, there's a decent chunk of the time we don't even WANT sex unless the strong feelings we have for a partner come into play. From what I've been told by high desire men, they don't really get that same relief from high desire on a hormonal level without actually fulfilling those des…

Kids need more physical activity, but kids can't walk home from school, it's too dangerous! Put them in multiple sports teams you also have to take them to and from because screw forming a habit of walking places, let's just have them do something they can't sustain in adulthood and call it enrichment. Yeah, it's messed up lol
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/26 07:50 AM

The expectations are ridiculous, and it's making kids into balls of anxiety that don't know how to be alone. That is a separate debate from this one though, it's just so unfortunate to both parents and children.

But it is, and when it's possible I think we as women should be conscious of it and mitigate it if we truly love a co-op game and the team/guild/party we're in. Should I have to hide it? Of course not, but when I weigh that frustration against fucking up a whole raid group, I'd rather be frustrated and pretending to be a guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/26 07:36 AM
2

This is exactly why I always pretend to be a dude in online games. I never voice chat and just say I have a lisp or a stutter and don't want to talk. I'm just here to play the game, not to get people to cater to me or compete for my attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/26 06:42 AM

What are your thoughts on modern parenting? In many places it's literally illegal to tell your kid to go play outside so you can take a breather unless you're out there watching constantly. Parents are expected to be hypervigilant and childcare is more expensive than ever. Maybe bare minimum keeping kids alive could be called "easy" in the past, but meeting modern societal obligations for parenting is not. It's just not.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/26 06:33 AM

I'm not offended though? I just like clarifying before saying "I agree", lol. I'd consider it an autism thing more than a woman thing. In my case, at any rate.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/26 03:42 AM

I'm not entirely sure I can agree that "conquering" is something healthy men are biologically wired to do. Do you mostly mean being competitive and aiming to win and always setting their sights high (conquering a mountain, overcoming problems etc) or the more violent meanings of conquer? Otherwise yeah, I think you're right. Having no ambitions is pretty classic low testosterone.

Yep, communication is key. But as someone on meds with a lot of anxiety, it's also important to believe a woman when she says the orgasm isn't important to her. I don't get myself there 90% of the time, so I don't expect anyone else to reliably manage it either. Sometimes my husband, bless him, gets really determined and that makes it even less likely. For me, it's the closeness that counts. If he wants to make me feel good, a backrub before or after for my chronic pain is infinitely more apprec…

I've only been with two guys, the first was towards the end of high school, we'd dated for five years. We met in an anime rp chat room. Unsurprisingly, he broke up with me a year or so later because we were long distance. The second is my husband, I met him playing world of warcraft together. Most definitely not, some of us still don't have sex outside of a committed relationship. For anyone into hookup culture that does seem to be the case, though. I suspect OP is not into hooking up and thus doesn't understand men's frustration over how easy it is for Chad to get casual sex. Casual sex holds no appeal to me either, so it took me a long time to understand where men were coming from there.

I feel like we should be saying "parents and children" instead, tbh. And I'm voluntarily sterilized and child free! As (mostly in my case but not fully) able bodied adults, we should all be recognized as being more able to care for ourselves than children. In an emergency, children and those directly responsible for them likely need a little extra help, and it is important that at least one guardian survives. Child free women like myself being included in that does feel a little infantilizing, y…

I agree, though with a caveat. The biggest thing to remember when taking advice about dating from women is it works best when the woman already likes you. So yeah, go ahead and ask your girl's best friend what to get her as a gift, ask her mom where she's always wanted to go on vacation, etc. But unless you're asking a bi or lesbian woman, we don't really know to seduce any woman other than ourselves.

I think 30s would be perfect for most people. A grown ass woman, but not one that's aged enough to feel excessive pain without underlying conditions.

Surgical sterilization after she's sure she's done with kids would be the better pick, a lot of women are already experiencing significant age related pain by the time menopause is over.

Right? Granted I'm under 40 myself but I'm disabled due to my eds fucking my joints for years, if I could stay in my 18 year old body (oldest I got before problems kicked in) for the rest of my natural lifespan, I would.

"Without spiraling" is key. A good therapist is trained to do it in a constructive way, most of the rest of us just sound like assholes when we try. I know I do, at least. I will still be honest if a friend or family member is very clear they're looking for that honesty at least, but otherwise try to not attack them. It's one of many things I've had to work on, which is unsurprising considering autistic people like me are known for "just being honest" and shoving our foot into our mouths.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/25 05:25 PM

Therapy is good because all my friends and family are too nice to tell me the negative things I need to hear in order to grow as a person. A therapist is being paid to help me hear those things without spiraling and to help me figure out steps to take to address them.

It depends on the bear tbh, and most bears are omnivores with a large percentage of their diet being plant matter. That is not so with saltwater crocs and great whites. Now if we're talking polar bears, obviously only a moron chooses the bear!
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 06:46 PM

I haven't heard that about dimorphism. Does that mostly apply to mammals? In birds at least that wouldn't be a reliable indicator, but I can think of examples that match that for mammals.

I truly don't get it myself. If we as women are often afraid of being assaulted even though "most men" aren't like that, doesn't it logically follow that men should be afraid of false rape accusations even though "most women" wouldn't do that? It seems silly in either case to tell someone not to be cautious of something so horrible. Admittedly, this is only valid on a personal level. A court, for example, should not be assuming guilt either way without evidence just because the fears are valid.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 05:55 PM

Could I ask for the female stats from wherever you got this data? Not trying to argue men have more success than women on these apps, just curious about how big the gap is according to this survey/study/whatever.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/25 05:44 PM

But how many of those women actually want children? The amount of women who are childfree by choice is skyrocketing, but I don't think I personally know any women (barring fertility issues) that want kids but don't have any.

My husband was a friend for about half a year first, I realized we really clicked, and I literally just told him I liked him and if he liked me too maybe we could try dating. I didn't see any "signs", but I never do, I'm autistic. Direct approach is the only thing I can manage. After many years I can read his "signs" but it took a long time. I was in one relationship before him, and I simply asked that person out too. We were together for five years through junior high and high school.

Not autistic women, most of us hate that bullshit. I've directly asked out my partner for both relationships I've been in, both 5+ years long (and I'm still with my husband now). But I definitely empathize with what you're saying. Other women expect me to "get it" instead of just fucking telling me when they're upset.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 10:47 PM

I'm autistic, I only really do non-verbal if I'm completely overwhelmed and about to shut down. I never expect him to pick up on any other cues, and I pray he doesn't expect me to either.

This just seems like common sense to me. Sure, it was nice when we were younger and hotter, but my husband and I are no less into each other now because the love is there. We can look around our house and see how far we've come, we know exactly how to treat each other, everything is just easy. And that's hot af. A partner that knows you to your core and loves you and treats you right often stays "hot" in your eyes as you age. But if something awful happens and you have to start over with someone…

What do you mean by partners? Like someone who hasn't dated anyone at all? Is it different if the woman has dated some but never had sex because she was waiting for the right relationship? I'd think the latter means she would be giving her best and she was searching for someone worth giving it to.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 05:35 AM

There isn't anything wrong with it, but it'll probably result in a mediocre sex life. Both partners should be initiating and making each other feel wanted. Initiation may be more frequent from one end, but it should never be absent unless both partners agree that only one should initiate.

It's basically oneitis when a woman can't get over a specific man for whatever reason, and I feel it's totally separate from the phenomenon of highly ambitious women prioritizing work over finding a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 08:13 PM

I don't think so? I think phd women that are very ambitious and get those high paying jobs often simply don't date outside their field much because they're strongly focused on their work. If they meet someone along the way, okay great. If not, it's not a priority. It's more proximity than chasing "alphas".

When I was single, I only cared when my male friends treated me very differently after being turned down. I understood putting a little distance for awhile, I knew it probably stung -- I was even fine when they wanted to end the friendship. What upset me was the sudden vitriol from a couple of them. There was no reason to be cruel. Thankfully that was not always the case, and I even still have one of those men as a friend 20+ years later. He's married now, as am I, and neither of us care anymore…

/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 12:32 PM

Absolutely. Right now, men who truly cannot find partners in the US have extremely limited sexual outlets. That's not good for anyone. Regulate it, make all std tests cheap, and make it legal.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/25 08:15 PM

It's actually less likely to be legal than it is to be illegal. Even a couple of states in the US ban it: https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2024/03/18/regulating-international-commercial-surrogacy/#:~:text=The%20U.S.%20is%20one%20of%20the%20few,Spain%20prohibit%20both%20commercial%20and%20altruistic%20surrogacy. I can't speak for every woman, but for me, desire is cyclical. I only ever feel what men say they always feel for like five days a month. TMI I guess, but if I'm not ovulating my interest in sex is low. Maybe that's where the disconnect is? Most women I know do have intense sexual desires, but it's not an "always" thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/25 08:20 AM

It is to me too! If you need to mourn your "freedom" maybe don't get married? I didn't do any of that, we all got together and played mario party on the biggest TV we could find. There was some drinking, though. But I understand it's just part of the culture now and brides have been expecting it since before they met their spouse to be, so I won't tell anyone else not to.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 08:23 PM

It doesn't need to. I'd make an exception for someone's bachelorette or something, but if I'm going to a place where people are hooking up, I'm bringing my husband. I'm probably not a great woman to ask though, my idea of a fun night out is less clubbing and more dave & busters.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 03:53 PM

Maybe, haha! Idk, I just never get in serious arguments with people I don't have emotional entanglements with. Most I'd do at a stranger (unless I was protecting someone else) is flip them off if they did something shitty. It's just not worth my time, and if it's a stranger, you don't know how far they'll go.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 03:09 PM

Most people don't argue with strangers that often and assume you're talking about relationships, I suppose. I've never been friends with a guy that would say that to me either, and I just walk away from strangers trying to start shit with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 01:21 PM

It's highly dependent on why I'm being told to shut up. I've never been in a relationship with a man that would say that to me, but with my dad, I would usually shut up because he did indeed get mildly physically violent (spankings, etc) -- unless he was bullying my little sister. Pick your battles, like you said.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 11:29 AM

She did buy the higher waist, and since she wasn't obese or anything and it gave her a nice ass while holding in her tummy, I was able to genuinely tell her she looked good. We remained friends in high school but drifted from the other girls and found new friends instead, so I think the honesty was appreciated in the end. But yeah, it came to mind because it is EXACTLY what OP is talking about. It feels so two faced to me, I want a friend that tells me the truth!

I disagree on "quickest" just because life circumstances can mean that there's less time for dating even with someone you're wildly into and thus it may technically take more time even if the number of dates is the same or less, but I agree with "easiest". Sex is not something I'm interested in with someone I don't love and trust. It's a physically vulnerable position for most women, and men are stronger on average. Edit: Anyway, I am attracted to men, so if I want sex with a man, it's in a relationship or bust. With that established, the sex is not the most important thing or even close to it, just pointing out that access to casual sex doesn't really matter for me and other women like me. It sounds sappy, but I feel I get a partner that complete…

You can actually get retinol pretty cheap. But I think the core of a decent skin care routine is: Cleanser Exfoliant (either chemical or mechanical, you need to remove dead skin cells about once a week) Moisturizer of some kind Sunscreen Spot treatments (pimple patches, benzoyl peroxide, etc) You can get all of that for ~100 dollars if you know what ingredients to look for and get stuff on sale.

I personally feel it's kinder to not give generic advice like that if someone is truly that unfortunate looking. Better to just say you aren't good with dating advice than to potentially give someone false hope.

Yeah, you'd have to be like REALLY close, and it's not something you touch on unless someone asks for brutal honesty and you know them well enough to know they mean it and can take it.

Honestly, I don't think giving dating advice in general is a good idea. People are too different for anything more than the most generic advice to apply. I only ever do it if one friend is interested in another and I know what that person likes/is looking for.

I absolutely do NOT give that sort of advice, lol. I just have female friends and family that do this. I'm autistic though, so I do a lot less of that social fluff in general I think.

It depends on the women you ask, I think. If you ask a VERY close friend she may tell it to you straight, but for a more casual friendship or even just an acquaintance, most women won't want to admit that sometimes looks can matter. It's seen as shallow, and no one wants to be thought of as shallow. The advice given isn't necessarily bad advice, the issue is that women give advice for men to behave in the way they would want someone they're already attracted to to behave, and that won't be enoug…

I disagree, but for the sake of discussion, let's say that's true. Wouldn't nurses be more of a yellow flag? In the absence of any other red or yellow flags, being a nurse is fine. Women who want a conservative/more traditional husband are often very nurturing, nursing is a natural profession choice for them. Just don't date nurses that keep crazy hours.

I do think resources tie into it. With short term rentals and real estate as investment skyrocketing, people struggle to buy homes. Owning a home is far more stable than renting, you never know when rent will rise and it often costs more than a mortgage would monthly. As a result, even people who want to be parents tend to put it off in hopes that they'll be more stable later... but later, fertility drops, health issues crop up, and people become established in their careers and keep putting it …

This, blackpill (and to a lesser extent modern red pill) are more cope than strategy for a lot of people. And for the people who do look at it strategically, they usually aren't giving up completely.

It is a little more complex than that. Many extremely poor people can't get jobs good enough to afford childcare and have to pick a stay at home parent, for example. Unfortunately, those kids are still disadvantaged despite having a parent at home due to being poor. But for average people without resources most of us don't have access to that can get decent jobs, if they want to feel like they're succeeding economically, it is pretty much a given that both parents have to work now, yes.

It didn't FORCE both parents to work, but it's definitely been heavily encouraged by girlboss types. Though, again, even if it's a negative I do think that particular tradeoff is worth it.

Not having a stay at home parent IS a negative imo. That being said, I think it's a lesser evil compared to women having to be dependents, especially considering that not all women want children anyway, myself included. I've also been told by male friends that they're afraid to approach women because they don't want to be seen as creeps, and female friends complain because they aren't approached by the kind of men they want. I'd say this is a problem of over-correction of men and their dating be…

Assuming that whatever she's doing is legal in my area, yes, I would keep being friends with her. Her job does not affect me whatsoever. In the interest of being completely transparent, though, I would not try to hook her up with my other friends. The element of risk involved when sexually engaging with someone who is very promiscuous would result in me not feeling comfortable presenting her as a potential partner for a close friend. I wouldn't try to dissuade other friends who decided on their …

It's more than fair. It's also insane that the law is that way in the first place. Men already die earlier than women, are they just wanting men to work until they drop?

I also think with porn vs novels that we shouldn't ignore the fact that real people are involved with porn. It's a little different from text in that way. This doesn't apply to hentai and 3d models, though. That should be considered on the same level as romance novels since there are no real people on the screen. Personally, I don't care either way as long as it's not something foul like CSAM, but I can see where someone would feel differently when real people are involved.

Oh, I'm not disagreeing, just providing the numbers from the poll! Hence "polled as" instead of just "are". If I had to guess, I'd say in practice it's closer to 5% - 10%.

Not the person you were responding to, but for me, I consider a woman a "pick me" if she's seeking attention from a lot of men, not just her partner or intended partner. Women like that are the first to cheat in my experience. The attention is like a drug, and they develop a tolerance of sorts to their partner's attention and need the rush of having someone that doesn't "have to" think they're hot give them that attention. So basically, it's not her wanting attention from her partner that's a pr…

Unfortunately, paper abortions will never happen simply because the government doesn't want to have to pony up for welfare. It saves them a ton of money when single mothers focus on getting child support from fathers.

Absolutely nuts, that guy is in great shape and is healthier than a body builder in season. We need to shame people demanding impossible physiques from men just like we shamed people demanding excessive dieting from women.

I think there would be a modest increase in the birth rate. Hiring a surrogate costs a fortune, if artificial wombs cost less then couples who otherwise would have had to give up will be able to have kids, may be able to give kids siblings, etc. It won't be enough to balance things out, but it won't be nothing, either. Assuming it's affordable, anyway. It won't do a damn thing if it's too expensive.

It's actually 20.7% of gen z women polled as bi, or roughly one in five. Outrage farming titles will say "almost 30%", though.

I think I understand what you're getting at, correct me if I'm wrong: you think it should be socially acceptable to talk about the issues that arise when a seemingly large percentage of men are consistently rejected for relationships without saying that women owe men sex, yes? If so, I agree with you. We should be able to talk about how lonely men are these days, and it should be acceptable for those men to receive support without ridicule.

This is extremely insightful. Full disclosure, I am not a red pill woman myself (more purple pilled), but I think you've hit on some things even blue pill women would benefit from. We so often think only about results -- we don't think about our energy and what we're putting out there. We don't think about how that energy makes our partners feel, we just look at the tangible things we do when evaluating ourselves. I'm going to try to apply this myself, and I'm so glad I somehow ended up on this …

6, 14, and 8 from the first image. I don't need a guy with a six pack (nor do I want one since it requires so much upkeep!), but I do want him to be around for a long time, so a certain level of physical fitness is preferred.

That's what I did for both of the relationships I've been in. I've been married to my husband for over 15 years now and he's wonderful, but he would have forever been too worried that I'd feel harassed if he asked me out. I know that even more men worry about that now than they did then.

That's what my husband and I did. We both got relatively plain bands engraved with designs on the outside and our names on the inside. Getting that done with good metal that will last and not tarnish or rust doesn't come cheap.

If you're talking about REALLY old women, they do struggle... bc men die earlier than women do on average and the pool shrinks as a result.
