After the 'guy extends the date with another activity' and has paid for 2 bills (and still wasn't met with any advances from her side) he realizes only a fool makes the same mistake 3 times...

They really should be funding boys so future Bills and Jeff's can make multibillionaires of girls like them. Isn't that the best possible outcome one can wish for?

It's funny when you put it this bluntly. But I definitely agree with you. Our society places us at a severe disadvantage for following our biological urges. The challenge is to live a good life while keeping these urges in check. For me materialism and seeking comfort is another one of those challenges: we all want a comfy, shiny car and a luxurious home. But those things aren't necessities and have nothing to do with survival yet we crave them because it speaks to certain primitive values where…

Actually I quite like the aesthetics of the female body. Granted most of them age pretty badly due to smoking, bad diet, lack of exercise etc. But their genitals are not the only reason most men are attracted to women. A sex robot, even modelled to perfection and with lifelike properties, probably wouldn't do it for me. But then again I've been perfectly happy without sex for the last few years, so this really is a non-issue for me. Still the risk of ending up on the plantation is real for every…

You're right in that lots of ppl get upset with LGBTQ and a lot of other stuff that involves other people's private lives. But MGTOW is not one of them.

So you're saying the reason women want relationships, marriage and babies so badly is because it poses very little risk to them? Damn, you're right!

Yes, that could definitely be a big part of it since he was widowed and sex is probably not that important at his age. I think as a MGTOW if you are used to being alone a lot and not being too dependent on a partner but rather having a broad support network with friends and hobbies we might have an easier time when it comes to retirement and old age.

Because humans make mistakes. Maybe one day I will screw up and have unsafe sex. At least not being able to have kids takes away a lot of the financial risk...

I think you'll find very few of the ppl on here have dolls. Also sex is only a tiny part of MGTOW. It's just preferring to spend time and effort on yourself instead of trying to make romantic relationships work by compromising your own values.

Apparently my grandfather spent a lot of money on hookers in his old age after his wife died. Can you imagine being 60+ and paying such amounts of money for such a trivial act?

I read somewhere on here that gay relationships are just as messy. So changing your sexual preference is probably not the answer. MGTOW and getting older make you realize getting laid takes a lot of effort for the short pleasure (as well as all the drama) it brings. There's nothing wrong with not having or thinking about sex all the time anymore. Me personally I am still attracted to females, but for the past few years have been perfectly happy on my own.

Would be safer to opt out of kids tho. Preferably with a vasectomy.

One of the worst things of bosses knowing you are single is that it can get really awkward to deny overtime or changing shifts. This is especially hard since I work sat-sun or fri-sun. So they assume they can call me during my 'weekend' which spans 4-5 days a week. I really like to be left alone because I'm trying to build a side hustle as well as enjoy my free time since the overtime from my main job is done only a few times a year (but usually very last minute).

Not sure if I would like to continue living with that quality of life. I definitely won't be allocating more than 250k in reserve for my last years if I happen to reach 80+. Plenty of old timers alive that didn't save a dime and I prefer enjoying my FIRE funds while I can actually spend them on living instead of staying alive just because.

Also doesn't require vacations and other escapes from reality. Save that money and invest it in a nice home or downgrade to a job that doesn't involve a toxic work requirement because everyone aspires to be a manager...

I didn't think science fully understands Covid yet. They can't even explain how much transmission is possible by touching things or how well antibodies protect against different strains. FYI been sick for 8 months with long hauler symptoms and wish a cure was a simple as applying some science...

He was stupid for letting her in on his investments. I'm not convinced about the silver squeeze, but it seems like a very good way to hide some of your wealth for when the inevitable divorce happens...

Only women are supported when they are in a bad place. If your ship has any chance of sinking they are the first ones to bail. That's why they keep their monkey branches open and always have a simp lined up to take your place. Personally whenever I have hit a rough time in life I have never even considered being available for a relationship. I don't want to burden anyone with my shit. No such honor to be found with women. They are reaching out for support everytime their life goes south and don'…

That should be easy as a MGTOW: health: eat healthy, have full control over your diet sports: I love and value expensive cars for transport, but I can cycle to so many places (work, close friends) on my own. I wouldn't have the time to do this with a partner, nor would she stand the discomfort of exercise. money: saving so much, because I only spend money on things that I value. No peer pressure to conform to mainstream values and spend a fortune raising kids. Also less impulse buying, due to fu…

Even psychology is very much a pseudo-science. I once went to see one because my gf wanted a child and I couldn't find any rational reason to. In the end the advice was just to do it and adapt to the new situation. Dodged a bullet when we split up!

Most people die alone. The chance your spouse would live just as long as you is tiny and you will also have seen a lot of friends die before you. Think of how hard it is for elderly couples to go on with life when they have become dependent on each other while living together for 50 years... It is true as a man usually the women will survive you. This doesn't guarantee that this potential women will have the ability or intention to care for you in your old age. Since she will be living longer th…

I went to a male therapist because my girlfriend absolutely wanted kids and I wasn't so sure about it because I never really had a yearning to bring children into this world. In hindsight he never explored the option of not having kids nor give any rational arguments why to have kids. He was just like 'just do it and you'll adapt to the new situation and things will be OK. The thought of not having kids was never an option for a family man like himself. Luckily I found books on Amazon about livi…

Read bachelor pad economics! I just finished it after someone recommended it on here. It's not the most detailed investment book, but it's life advice for MGTOW and covers the bases on a lot of topics that also (indirectly) have to do with your finances.

As a guy that keeps to himself a lot I have the same problems with long vacations where you get faced with the emptiness of my private life. You can't work 7/7 multiple weeks and then expect to enjoy yourself when you finally have to sit an entire week at home... I'd advise to get some downtime more often but only 1 or 2 days at a time. That way you can do the things you really wanted/needed to do in your private life and then get back to work. It will also be easier to keep up a hobby, or see a…

If I could buy one home exercise machine, what would it be? I'm thinking about buying a rowing machine as it's supposed to burn the most calories/hr... Would really like an alternative to running for those days where the weather is just too bad to enjoy going outside. Also I frequently get injuries from overtraining on longer runs. I tried swimming but I just don't have the patience to learn the technique nor deal with the crowds in a swimming pool.

What are your reasons for moving out and wanting your own place? I got to live a few years with my parents (they are self employed so never at home) and the amount I got to save was insane. Only reason I got my own place was because of the distance to work. As a MGTOW/single life is more expensive as far as living expenses go: utilities, heating, basic house maintenance will cost the same if 1 or 2 people are living under one roof and all the tasks and bills will fall to you. I decided to buy a …

I'm from Belgium and no such tax exists. The major advantage for couples is to file joint income, so if one partner earns a lot less the tax will be beneficial as a couple... Tax deductibles for having kids do exist, but fall in to nothing compared to the savings with not having kids in the first place.

Online dating is truly repellant for both man and women who are not in the top 10% looks. But even more so for guys since guys have to put in a lot more effort. This continuous loop of rejection with only a small chance to get lucky with a suboptimal women can make a person feel exactly as you describe.
