I bet she's being blackmailed into doing this. Surely there's no way she actually wants to do it and knows what she's doing! Somebody help this poor woman!
You don't think it's harmful to deliberately make a child deaf instead of healthy? What if there was a community of amputees who decided to have a baby's legs removed because they feel like that's better?
