When I bring Mary Daly to those claiming I'm making straw feminist claims, I have never gotten a single retort. They have nothing.

1) If both have the choice it can't be used as an argument since there is no disparity. 2) Jesus sheep hearding Christ why is everybody so obtuse about this? Why can't anybody seem to concede that having the option of being a stay at home wife is an advantage, having options like that is huge. Most women wouldn't even consider marrying a guy who didn't want to work. The stay at home wife option is an example of a societal imposed female privileged. 3) Can't you just concede that being a stay at …

but simply to stay off the streets. Can't you at least concede that being homeless is significantly more degrading than marrying for support?

If you want to boil this down to "out of incredibly shitty options, women who are willing to degrade themselves and be completely dependant have this slightly less shitty option", then sure, I guess. However I don't see that as a shining example of how "women have it the easiest". So my sister is degrading herself for choosing to be a house wife even though she has a college degree? I'll be sure to let her know how you feel.

As a non-white, I agree. You guys have it tough. White male here. I would not say I have it tough, but it is annoying how any sort of hate directed at me due to my race is just disregarded as if it doesn't effect me.

I didn't downvote him, but I dislike his tone in that he asserts that Marxism is a bad thing. I really loath it when somebody tries to politicize the MRA movement.

The part that bothers me the post is that there is no female counterpart to this insult. Women are free to be whatever they want, but a man wants to just enjoy life and maybe work a simple job, is a man-child.

This is what drives me the most nuts about the fedora/neckbeard default insult on this site. There is absolutely no consistency. MRA = Fedora/Neckbeard Male feminist = Fedora/Neckbeard gamer = Fedora/Neckbeard Libertarian = Fedora/Neckbeard Atheist = Fedora/Neckbeard Disagree with somebody then you must be a Fedora/Neckbeard! It is the most boring of attacks you can possibly conjure and I seriously don't think there are that many Fedora/Neckbeards out there.

When I was a kid that movie Dick Tracey came out, and I really liked it. I bought a yellow Dick Tracey Fedora at Disneyland and went as Dick Tracey for Halloween that year. Didn't really wear it after the excitement for Dick Tracey wore off though.

Neckbeard has just become the default flame, it shows a tremendous lack of creativity. Also you forgot Atheists, Libertarians and people who like video games are also neckbeards.

This article doesn't mention anything relating to your title, it is in fact a rather good read in my opinion. This article is about changing our views of fidelity and marriage, perhaps that is something society should take a look at adjusting.

Not at that moment he is not.

That movie is worse than that! Earlier in the film she actually gets on a lifeboat with her jerk fiance. She could have just stayed in the lifeboat and Jack would have had that floating piece of wood all to himself. Nope, she just can't bare to be apart from her lover she met two days ago, so she gets out of the lifeboat and back onto the sinking ship. I think were supposed to be moved by that scene, but all I could think was: "You idiot, I'm going to push you over the edge because you don't des…

Hi, super liberal here. I wouldn't vote for this and I don't know a single liberal that would. Stop trying to divide mensrights into a left/right thing, it isn't either.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
