Are you on the account? Do you have access to withdrawal or deposit? That's your answer.

Refusing access to financial accounts is financial abuse, which can be used in family court. Check out the Wheels of Abuse. https://www.theduluthmodel.org/wheels/ . I used to have a Youtube video about how only one side of family court utilizes the "Wheels of Abuse" during a divorce. It got to be too negative and I have since removed it. Since you have kids, you should probably check out these Judge Judy clips that others have found helpful over the years. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P…

Something happens when people turn 40. I'm an average dude in my 30s, but get lots of attention from 40+ ladies.

Yep, it's you, your ex, and your kids sit with a therapist and talk about whatever you want. My ex focuses her attention on her fantasy relationship with me and our kids talk about being abused by mom/her partner. I mostly sit and listen.

My ex-wife still tells our family therapist that I'm trying to get into a relationship with my ex....after 6 years. My response is still the same, it's time to move on with life and I really hope she gets the help that she needs.

That's the neat part. They won't stop.

Don't leave the country, that'd just complicate things even more due to the international agreements. Just wait it out.

Just wait until your kid has a male principal. Things tend to become more fairer for parents.

In America, we have the Duluth Wheels where men lose custody and all decision abilities. It happened to me - https://youtu.be/b8h3TkQJ3nQ

Yep, welcome to the club. Most family courts still follow the Duluth Wheels for deciding custody which defaults to 'dads are abusers'. I always wanted to be a dad. I had 3 kids. My ex cheated. I didn't approve of my ex cheating during our marriage. Per the Duluth Wheels, not approving of her extra marital relationships is considered abuse. I lost custody of my kids. Thanks. I post YouTube videos as an outlet. After all of this abuse, my kids' mom hasn't shown up to pick up our kids in the last month. My kids prefer to be home with me, but it's infuriating that only a couple of years ago my ex was claiming under oath that I shouldn't be left alone with our children. Not sure how it can go from "can't be left alone" to "sole parent taking the kids to appointments with 100% parenting time."

Be careful. My ex did the same thing....then she felt I was the reason for her actions. There is the duluth wheels of abuse that will put you in a negative light if either of you decide to go through a divorce. Here is my experience - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8h3TkQJ3nQ

2 years for everything to get settled. Every month for 2 years, my net worth was shrinking even as the s&P 500 was hitting the moon.

Review the Duluth Wheels of abuse. You are the abuser in domestic situations, based on your gender. Don't believe me? Here is my experience -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8h3TkQJ3nQ

My dad's advice -> Look at the potential partner's mother. Do you like the looks? That's how they will likely look in 30 years. My ex hated this advice. Now, 10 years later, she is overweight just like her mother.

You were providing validation to your partner. You can find another partner. It takes time. Memories fade. You don't remember all the details of your childhood. This will be the same.

Protip: remove pronouns and post this to r/divorce. You will get your answer from both genders. Abuse is indifferent of gender. Unfortunately, some family courts and law enforcement offices still follow the Duluth wheels which limits abuse to genders. Here is my experience - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8h3TkQJ3nQ

Unsupervised, 50/50. The evaluator wanted 0/100, with a few supervised hours every other weekend. The court ordered 25/75 for the first year, then 50/50 afterwards. I have no say in where my kids go to school, doctor's visits, school conferences, therapy visits, where they live, can't sign them up for sports or activities, nothing.....but I still have a court ordered exchange location and schedule that I am following.

Yep, but I have no say in what they are signed up for, where they are enrolled, where they live, and who they can see for therapy.

Don't victim blame. You are not perfect but nobody deserves to be cheated on. Don't blame yourself. If you lose your home due to a tornado, then do you blame the home? No, blame that motherf**cking tornado. I get it, man. I was in a similar situation about 6 years ago. My high school sweetheart, mother of our 3 kids, and partner for 9 years was caught sleeping with a drug addict. She tried to blame me for sleeping around....classic gaslighting and guilt shifting or maybe turning 30 scared her. F…

A custody evaluation will follow you throughout the court process. My custody evaluator never talked with any of my references and never asked questions about my parenting. Instead, she spent 2 evenings watching me and my kids for a total of 4 hours. The evaluator recommended zero time with my kids citing my ex's false claims. There was no mention of our kids in therapy or the kids stating that they wanted to live with dad. This was shocking to say the least. We found out (my shitty attorney) th…

Be aware of the Duluth wheels of abuse during a custody battle. I yelled at my ex for cheating on me while watching our children (all less than 6 at the time) and she received full custody. Here is my story - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8h3TkQJ3nQ

This is good news. Hear me out. That is now some other guy's problem. Would you buy a boat that is known to sink? Would you buy a car that is known to strand you on the side of the road? Would you buy a lock that opens with any key? Would you hire a financial advisor that openly steals your money? Would you hire a contractor that cuts corners? I never understood why some guys sleep with married women and then are shocked when they are cheated on. Like what do you expect? You dodge a bullet, my m…

Take all assets, subtract all liabilities, and divide the remainder into two. That is what you will receive. Things to consider: - Is your & ex's income guaranteed for 8-10 years? If not, then how are you thinking about a lump sum? - Can you sleep at night with the extra liability of alimony? Or would you be better with a lump sum of pay-it-and-done? - Do you want to date again? Do you think a potential spouse would like the idea of a portion of your income going to a prior woman? TLDR - A lot o…

Take all assets, subtract all liabilities, and divide the remainder into two. That is what you will receive. There is no after divorce entanglements, unless specified by the court like child support or alimony. Keep advocating the moving on in life and separation.

Is she going to work, get groceries, or socialize? How? Be reasonable, give her a few weeks, communicate the clear line of accommodations, and then go back to a neutral exchange location. If your ex requested an exchange location, then she could be trying to claim that she is afraid of you (a common tactic for full custody). My ex tried the same thing. We have an exchange location because she kept claiming that I was intimidating her at the marital home by exchanging at our homes. In the end she…

It's a strategy called "branching." Why leave one branch (i.e. you) until another branch (i.e. another partner) is secured? She doesn't value you. You don't value you. She is trying to get you to play the game "pick me" where you compete with all other possible partners in her life. That isn't a game anyone can win. Since you partner like to play games, please be aware of the Duluth Wheels when it come to custody. My ex cheated and I lost custody. It can happen to anyone. Here is my story - http…

Google search "Duluth Wheels of Abuse" and carefully understand CPS, social services, law enforcement, etc. basis for handling domestic abuse. Here is my story. My kids and I were abused, my ex used the Duluth Wheels of Abuse to file a restraining order, and subsequently she received sole custody. - https://youtu.be/b8h3TkQJ3nQ

Be careful of the Duluth Wheels of Abuse. It happened to me, it can happen to anyone. It sounds like you have a similar story. Here is my story - https://youtu.be/b8h3TkQJ3nQ Document everything. With a restraining order, you can ask the court to order her to reimburse her portion of child care expenses. Yes, child care sucks but the court can order her to reimburse you. She might not, but that sets you up for full custody.

Yeah, lots of therapy cleans out all that gaslighting. Reach out for help; it's okay. It's not okay to be emotionally abused in a relationship.

I used to internally debate what was worse: Being blamed by social services for the abuse me and our children endured. Or, police officers telling me that if I call for help again, then I would be arrested in the domestic dispute.

File for divorce. She hasn't changed her mind....she is preparing her story. Google the "Duluth Wheels of Abuse" and compare to your wife's behavior. For example, you NOT allowing her extra martial relationship is your abusing her. Another example, you being "the breadwinner" is you abusing her career choices. No, I am not making the above up. It happened to me; it could happen to you. Here is my full story - https://youtu.be/b8h3TkQJ3nQ

I thought the same thing. $60K in attorney fees and a divorce decree later, I'm still fighting her false allegations.
