I think I just ran into this. Somebody asked for me to be patient because of their baggage from a past relationship. As others mention, there isn't anything wrong with "talking" to a girl (or anyone for that matter) in the gym, but I would definitely start off with something gym/fitness relatable. Probably the easiest thing would be to comment/ask their opinion on a routine, certain exercise, VFF blah blah blah and go from there. I wouldn't recommend dishing out advice. Ha Ha... I belong to another subreddit, which will remain unnamed, that very recently had many brush upswith r/SRS.
