Yep, always the pot calling the kettle analogy. Most of my family just tell me to move on, “people come and go” type comments. Ambiguous grief is in my opinion one of the worst types of grief; you’re grieving people who are still alive, but basically consider you dead and vice versa. During my 5 month separation recently, I realized how peaceful my life is without the emotional chaotic roller coaster of my STBXW. It’s funny, as soon as she noticed me pulling away/moving on, she became enraged th…

Hey man im going thru a divorce but without the kids part. I’ve received every piece of advice, mostly from people who have never even been divorced. In other words, a few weeks ago I was still in the ‘bargaining’ part of grief. Now I’d say I’m in the depression phase. My friends and family who I’ve told have warned me to just cut the bandaid off, because they simply don’t see it working out, and they were right. I called a divorc…

Definitely starting to feel that way, because I have no other choice. Married for 3 1/2 years, separated last October, no sign of reconciliation from the wife (she’s avoiding it all together). We’ve started couples therapy but my friends/family say I should rip the bandaid off and file. I’m currently living in the house alone, paying 1/2 her equity and CC debts. No family in state, I originally moved out here to be closer to hers. Her whole family cut me off, essentially leaving me out here comp…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
