Pretty much every job I’ve ever had in healthcare. Double standards everywhere. If your a black women you can get away with unprofessional behavior. I’m not racist but some of the things I’ve seen overlooked regularly would get me escorted out the door by security.

But with kids?... I’m always reading about the mom who drowned her kids, or put them in the oven... I don’t read as much about the father doing likewise. Husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend, I concede your point. It takes an extra level of nuttiness to off your kids though, and that seems like it’s a woman’s crime more often.

I’m one of those guys. She got preggo on a ons and left town. Said she was on the pill. I tried to reconnect years later but she wasn’t having it. She had a girl thank god. I’d be more apt to try and intervene if it was a boy. That was 21 years ago. I’ll be 40 soon.
