Statutory rape is what it is because the victim is not regarded as mature enough to consent. The reason these laws exist is because older men/women ARE capable of seducing, deceiving, and convincing much younger people to have sex with them. These younger people can't understand the full consequences and implications of a relationship either. So while it sucks that a 16 year old girl wants to have a relationship with a man much older than her, the man is supposed to be mature enough to understan…

I don't consider anything she's saying deep or intellectual. Her opinions seem shallow and she only takes into consideration what everything is as a surface value.
