Do you think, in general, men are more or less disgusted by pics of random tits than women are by pics of random dicks?

That's true! Unfortunately, because you refuse to provide a source, we can't confirm or deny whether 40% of Americans is greater or less than the number of people that believe your claim. The one thing I think I can confidently claim without a source; well over 40% of the world knows this statement is horseshit: It’s become lore - if sufficient numbers of people believe it to be true, then it becomes the truth
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/24 09:13 PM

Roughly 40% of Americans. Forty percent of U.S. adults ascribe to a strictly creationist view of human origins, believing that God created them in their present form within roughly the past 10,000 years. 40% of Americans Believe in Creationism (Gallup, July 2019) Above is a source to a claim. It's common to provide sources to claims so that people know you're not full of shit.

It’s become lore - if sufficient numbers of people believe it to be true, then it becomes the truth More people believe that the world is less than 10,000 years old than believe your statement. Based on your logic, it is a proven fact that the world is less than 10,000 years old because enough people believe it to be true.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/24 08:34 PM

Got it. And how exactly is your claim “proven fact”? Are you mistaking Okcupid studies for sociological peer reviewed research?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/24 08:26 PM
2

It’s a proven fact that 80% of women are only interested in the top 20% of men I’d love to see your proof of this. How do you square this mathematically with the fact that ~50% of adults marrying?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/24 07:56 PM

Married men without children may still have familial responsibilities.

I don’t want government mandated DNA tests in my life. What would they do if I refuse? Strap me down in a holding cell to get a cheek swab?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 02:06 PM

Outside of work related stuff, my landlord, and one or two relatives, I have no contacts in my phone. Everyone I know has friends. Not having any friends isn’t typical.

Mental health issues are not gender specific - everyone would benefit.

We can also make access to mental health easier and less stigmatized.

People, and specially women, tend to overestimate how much sex I actually get. The fact is that I'm getting more than these women, and specially more than these men. I think you need to reword this- it makes no sense. The women that think you get laid a lot get laid less than you? And what men?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 07:22 AM
4

Given how polarized we are, I’d be shocked if it wasn’t bimodal. And on the same token, your experience and mine are going to be fundamentally different if we live in drastically different societies e.g. rural America vs urban America.

I’m a middle-aged 6’4” and 225 lbs. with a big frame and a bit of muscle, slightly overweight. I wear XL shirts with no issue. None of the guys in these pics have a problem wearing XL shirts because they’re too tight.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 05:36 AM

So 80% of women are holding out for 1% of men? Wouldn’t that directly conflict with the fact that less than 80% of women are single? Shouldn’t that mean 79% are single? And where did the 19% of men go between the top 1% and bottom 80%? I think you need to think about the math more before you start throwing out numbers.

I wasn't really considering the 35+ dudes that were going after 18-25 women - that's a pretty big age divide (especially considering <21). But, in general, there's a huge chasm in long-term relationship eligibility for many people when comparing poverty-level income to average-level income.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/22 08:05 PM
15

Agreed with your general sentiment - shitty men will always have a tougher time. Generally though (but of course not always), 35 year olds make much more money than 18-25 year olds.

How common do you think this issue is? 128 women just competed in the U.S. Open and exactly zero of them were born male.

So maybe I'm out of touch and don't understand how dating for people in their early to mid 20s works. Maybe it's changed radically since I was in my early to mid 20s. Has it? I for real don't know. I don't think it has. I'm 43, but 20-25 years ago I was as angsty as the younger users on this sub. With age, everything in the dating world got easier.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/22 05:08 PM

Meanwhile, men are happier marrying virgin's, immigrants...etc Your problem is that you’re stuck in this weird incel world where the basic premises of your arguments are so flawed they can’t be used to come to a legitimate conclusion. If you want to reduce the likelihood of divorce you need to wait longer and settle into your adult self before looking for a lifetime mate. Teenage angst eventually subsides.

Your assertion is that college girls don’t date college boys? It’s been awhile since I was in college, but that was certainly not the case when I was there.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 02:52 AM

Yep. I spent my 20s and 30s mostly single in NYC and it was absolutely fantastic. There was something near a million more straight single women than straight single men. Girls complained about this all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/22 03:59 AM

It's absolutely absurd to me that you think this. Go to a kid's soccer game and tell me the dads there are all stunningly attractive.

If the father had legal right to deny an abortion to his partner, he had better be legally liable if she's one of the many women in the US that die during pregnancy or labor every year.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 06:01 PM

The left has gone too far. Second and third trimester abortions were starting to be common and acceptable. This is absurd and patently false. ~90% of abortions are, and have been for quite awhile, completed in the first trimester and the general trend has been declining numbers of abortions in all trimesters. Care to provide a source?

I sympathize with her for sure and social anxiety can be massively debilitating, but I wouldn't be able to have a relationship with someone that has it this bad. I consider that part of life competency.

50% of marriages end in divorce, and women initiate 90% of divorces. That's simply not true if you're talking about the general population.

I understand where you're coming from and support legislation related to it, I just don't think it'll happen. It won't happen because it's so clearly unconstitutional to have government mandated DNA testing. I would flip my absolute shit if the government demanded I give DNA because I had the audacity to have a kid.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/22 10:35 PM

I think that having paternity testing mandated at birth before the father signs the birth certificate would mitigate this. The government mandating DNA testing doesn't seem too constitutional to me.

I wasn’t comparing my experience in relation to a woman’s experience, I was comparing my experience as a young man to one a bit older. Still an anecdote, but this is true for virtually all of my male friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 02:32 AM
5

This isn't true at all. I was fit as fuck at 25 and had relative trouble dating, but 30-40 (despite having gained weight and lost a ton of muscle) it was massively easier. As you age a bit you become more confident in yourself in all aspects, your salary likely increases quite a bit thus your standard of living is likely way better than when you were younger, you understand much more what you want out of a relationship, and the age range of women interested in you opens up massively.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/22 10:49 PM
1

I understand that but both he and you thought he was. If who you call father found out tomorrow that you weren’t his biological son, would he murder you?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/22 09:54 PM
1

I bet some of the men who think it’s justified to kill the mother are parents though. Fully agreed and while it’s very obviously not right or acceptable (our society isn’t ISIS) I get the fear. My issue is all of the anger past that. I’m also annoyed that this PPD type discussion (which I think was interesting on its face) is becoming so heavily militant.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/22 01:54 AM
1

There is a massive number of shitty parents, but there’s still a chasm between being a shitty parent and being willing to admit you’d kill innocent children in a Reddit thread about a hypothetical situation they’re not currently facing. I think admitting this is a legitimately sociopathic act (at least in my non-professional opinion).
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/22 11:43 PM
0

I understand (if don’t condone, obviously) the crime of passion directed at the wife, but I’m a parent. I cannot in any way comprehend or understand the idea of murdering my son in any situation including this one. Could you imagine your father doing the same to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/22 11:21 PM

Fully agreed. I'm certain that no one on that side of the debate is a parent.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/22 10:12 PM

I fully understand the rage, but we're talking about it as a hypothetical so our responses don't need to be rage-filled. I still stand by my suggestion that anyone justifying the murder of innocent children is a sociopath.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/22 10:11 PM
0

If I found out my son wasn't mine, I would be devastated, and obviously my wife and I would be done. But my son is still my son; he's still my greatest achievement, and in this hypothetical scenario he would be completely blindsided himself. I can't even fathom abandoning him because of something he did not do. I suspect if you were a father you'd understand.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/22 10:10 PM
2

You justified it at the very least twice. Justification #1 (where you stated it's "far more evil" what the hypothetical mother did than murdering innocent children): An evil woman using your resources for years, while.you are rising another man's DNA is far more evil. Justification #2 (in response to "Than killing children that you raised, that believed you were their father?"): Isn't abortion OK? I get that it's an emotional concept to you, but if you were a father you would understand that ima…

Did the children you’re justifying murdering consent to their death? Murdering children in response to being cheated on is not what a sane person would defend.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/22 08:51 PM
2

It is a deep lie, but if you're a parent and think the idea of literally murdering the innocent children you spent years protecting and loving is acceptable in the case you found out they, by no fault or knowledge of their own, were products of their mother's lie, you probably should not be a parent. I would be shocked if there's a single parent in here suggesting this is understandable.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/22 08:44 PM
4

Murdering the innocent children you raised because of someone else's fault is worse than aborting a fetus. This isn't arguable. Not even by the most staunchly pro-life activists. Also note that pro-life activists use adoption as their primary solution, which by definition is raising the product of another couple's DNA.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/22 08:35 PM
0

Who the fuck is they? Are you suggesting the kids know they're deceiving you as soon as they're birthed? Your wife, and your wife alone, caused this. Don't go blaming innocent children.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/22 08:30 PM
-2

I think the problem is that at this point you have teenage children you raised and presumably love very much who did nothing wrong; they didn't cheat on you, or change over night just because you learned your wife was awful. If you're a parent, you would realize how fucking much of your entire being has gone into protecting and nurturing them. That doesn't just go away.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/22 08:29 PM
-2

What did the kids do to deserve death? If you fathered them from birth to teenage years, you're very imprinted on each other and I suspect you wouldn't blame them for the issue (and you certainly wouldn't murder them, at least I hope). People can love their adopted kids just as much as their biological kids. It's pretty insane to me to justify murder of the kids you raised in virtually any circumstance. If you have kids, I think you'd understand this.

There is a reason why parents traditionally tried to get their daughter to marry when she had her highest SMV. Are you sure the reason parents hurried their daughters out of the house wasn't that prior to being allowed by society to have careers they were a financial drain on the parents? That's certainly what got my mother's parents to pressure her to be married at 19.

Pedant here! It actually is mathematically possible. 8*4.5 + 2*10 averages out to above average. Either way, this post assumes the only thing that matters to any woman is physical attractiveness (not whether she's in a relationship, she dislikes the dude's personality, she thinks they have different styles or lifestyles, she's having a bad day, she doesn't like being approached in public, etc). There are a multitude of reasons that men are rejected that have nothing to do with their relative att…

You're entirely correct that lack of activity is a major issue in our society, but our parent's generation also drove to work and ate shit food. EDIT: just realized I should probably specify "our parent's generation" as mine was likely most people on this thread's "grandparent's generation". My parents were born in the mid-40s and never ate healthy food. Neither were overweight, but they had other issues specifically linked to lack of nutrition.

In my experience, gyms weren't nearly as mainstream as they are today, but tons of people had benches etc. in their garages. I started lifting with my dad in the late 80s and I wasn't alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 01:02 AM
1

Probably less so due to PED testing at the very least. I think there are legitimate points in this thread, but the dates are shifted way too recent (likely by young people with an incorrect understanding). My father got a bench in the 60s when lifting weights was relatively less common, but by the time I was a teen in the early 90s lifting weights was incredibly common. Gyms were definitely less popular even in the early 90s (at least anecdotally), but having a section of the garage carved out f…

Still no backup to your claim. You said: More often than you realize it is not by his choice. I've been through it. The statistics don't lie. What statistics? Got a link to that study?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/22 01:28 PM

So it’s patently false the only support of your views is your personal anecdotes and a clearly partisan group of forums? At least you’re honest.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/22 02:14 AM

I'm absolutely certain it happens, and likely quite often, but stating that most single mothers are the issue (even more so given you stated that "the statistics don't lie") requires a source to be believed. What statistics are you referencing? I'm not saying you're wrong, but until actual values are presented people are going to meet these claims with warranted skepticism.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/22 01:40 AM

You’re espousing patently false narratives and sourcing yourself. Sourcing provable claims is a prerequisite for communication and you have failed to do this. Where’s your source that women controlled humanity prior to agriculture?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/22 09:30 PM

I figured after the “hundreds of hours” of study (which I read as “a couple YouTube videos”) that /u/dietwindows would have at least one questionable link he could provide, but it seems you’re right.

The invention of agriculture (sort of) subjugated women for a few millenia, (a relatively small time frame in the scope of human existance) The invention of agriculture happened well prior to the beginning of human history. Human existence is substantially longer, but I'm not sure what source material you're considering when you say so definitively that prehistory was dominated by women (especially before agriculture).

Currently we have too many workers and not enough jobs which is one of the things leading to lower wages so I am going to guess pretty well. We’re literally in a worker shortage right now, probably the worst in our history, and wages are skyrocketing because of this. Face it, you just need to grow up and face reality. We’re not going to imprison 150 million women because you haven’t been gifted a beautiful woman by the govt.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/22 07:19 PM

I think if I have a bachelors in the subject and years of experience I should get the job in that subject. If I can't get that chances are their is something wrong with employers not the person looking for a job There doesn’t have to be anything wrong with either the employer for going with another candidate who they felt was a better fit (who also had the relevant required experience, perhaps even more than you) or you for being passed over for the job. You can’t just bitch that the world owes …
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/22 07:14 PM

Do you think you’re owed any job you want? You’re not. Just like you’re not owed a hot wife. That’s not how the world works, and if you keep thinking it is you’re going to continue to be disappointed. Both statements sound correct. Neither prospective employers or prospective dating interests owe you a fucking thing.

Personally I think the easiest solution if social engineering and shaming women once again because we know that was effective in the past and requires less changes than most other solutions. If a woman is over 35 and unmarried she should be viewed as a massive failure on the level of a drug addict and people should treat her that way. A woman who refuses to settle should be made fun of and thought of as someone who is not someone you want to be around. etcetera. Their are other solutions my pers…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/22 07:38 AM
7

Why does she want to birth a child she cannot care for? The majority of US states are about to not have this option at all. Some already effectively do. They both had a choice to have sex and accept the potential responsibility. We all pay for the mistake, and that's unfair. Curious though - is your argument that the man should be able to force abortion on a woman he fucked and impregnated? And what about when abortion is illegal in a couple months?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/22 07:23 AM
0

So you're all for incentivizing adoption rather than biological parents keeping and financially supporting their kids? Either way, society is paying. I'm confused how this is a solution to the problem. I don't see why the biological parents, if capable, shouldn't be shouldering the burden.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/22 07:17 AM
1

You're equating "price gouging" with not fucking you enough. Is your answer that the government step in because you aren't getting laid? Which women should we force to fuck you? I don't see a solution in all of your bitching, only an identification of things you see as problems with society (but not yourself).

/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/22 07:11 AM

Unless you're advocating for the euthanization of that kid (fucking insane), you and I are raising that kid financially. How is that more fair than the biological parents doing so?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/22 07:09 AM
8

I'm entirely for protection of the less fortunate, but why should I pay for a wealthy dude's kid instead of either my own or a kid that's actually poor with no other option?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/22 07:08 AM
-1

You're mixing two things up. A woman has the right to "abandon" a child (the preferred method of conservatives via adoption instead of abortion), but you're vilifying it here. If men opt out but the women decides to keep it, if our laws didn't require child support you and I are paying for that child instead of the father. Is that what you suggest is fair?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/22 06:59 AM
2

So if the relatively destitute mother keeps the kid but the father is absolved, I have to pay for the kid instead through my tax dollars. Why is it my responsibility more than the man who impregnated her? I think can all agree the kid needs financial support (I hope), but I don't need the undue burden of providing for a kid I didn't father where not required.

Oh come the fuck on. Getting fit and becoming financially sound is the entirety of red pill advice and it does work to attract women, but it didn't take a specialized group to explain. People like successful, attractive people. Shocking. It's entirely unnecessary. Everyone my age figured this shit out before the Matrix.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/22 06:44 AM
3

I'm confused... are you arguing for a time when the only option for women was to attach themselves to a man? "Hooray, equality" certainly sounds like that. When I was a kid in the 80s, spousal rape was legal. Is that a metric we want to return to?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/22 06:41 AM
4

Fully agreed with your answer, but I think you're undervaluing the social skills component you mentioned. Becoming a person legitimately interested in something will outdo almost any other improvement you could make. Being excited in even the most mundane things is incredibly sexy to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/22 06:36 AM
3

Most guys aren't struggling with women. That's the honest answer. What will help them a ton if they're struggling is to work on themselves (physically, emotionally, etc.) and if the pool of available women is low, moving to where that's not an issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/22 06:34 AM

It very much depends on where you live. In my youth in NYC (and I'm not that old), 20-40 was relatively low.

Mostly agreed, but I think you're going even too far regarding judgement of behavior. Married with kids now, but I've dated a lot, and whether a girl sleeps with me on the first night or not is literally irrelevant to my feelings about her. The only thing I really detest is the games you allude to (which literally 100% of the time ended with the first date for me). If you connect with someone and things feel right (your general sentiment), go with it, regardless of gender.

The market chooses who is a 3 and who is an 8. If an item is worth $100 to enough people, it's not up to you to say it's not worth $100. We live in a society where each individual has the right to choose what they want, as much as you complain about the relative values. I don't think a lot of the previous ways we forced women to stop being so greedy are viable anymore, but some are, and we could come up with new ones because this many people especially young men being single is a recipe for disaster from multiple angles demographics with not enough replacement people to support the economy and retirement systems, increased violence, men dropping out of society and lots of others. I think this statement is the crux of your issue. You legitimately consider the re…

1/3rd of people being unemployed for a year is no one's fault but theirs. That doesn't sound very good does it? So why do you think it is okay for men to be dealing with this but if it was jobs you would be up in arms. That's actually, weirdly, a fair point. I'm effectively using a capitalistic approach to my explanations of dating, and we do expect the govt to help non-capitalistically with unemployment as your example shows, so I get where you're coming from here. But between 12-14 percent of adults aged 20-24 have never had sex. This number drops to around five percent for adults aged 25-29, and by age 44, only around 0.3 percent of adults report never having had the type of sex that could end in somebody getting pregnant. According to this study, 3 in 1000 adults are virgins over 44 years of age, and I suspect a third of them are on this sub.

I’ve dated women wealthier than me and they generally pay for more than I do and I’ve dated women less well off than me and I generally pay for them. But the graph in the OP literally says it’s using adjusted values which means wages have gone up even when taking into account inflation. Housing has gone up insanely since then, as has college and health care, but those are not what inflation is based on. Fair point and I probably shouldn’t have led with the financials. I still will not let the government take my DNA or my kids’ DNA without my consent. Welfare is not gender dependent so that argument holds no weight (or even negative weight because child support lessens the expense of the welfare system). Tests that are legally viable do not cost $100, the bottom limit is $300 and that’s very low (anything that requires a health professional is well overmore than $100, and your CVS kit does not hold legal weight); the average is $400. Why not be an opt-in right? The government doesn’t have a great history with opt-out anything. Also to be clear, the parents are paying, correct? Fathers have the right to choose to test paternity; I completely agree with that. I'm entirely arguing with the mandatory part of the statement. I don't need the government mandating this to me. If there isn't one... what are you really arguing?

Nope, but drug testing for an employer or requiring vaccinations for a public school (both not mandatory) is not the government straight-jacketing me or my children down to administer the test to steal my DNA if I refuse; I'm either fired or not offered the job, or I home school. Mandatory means something much different when it comes from a private employer or an optional school system than it does from the government.

Good, I’m glad you agree. The tenor of the post to me screams government overreach and the comments in the thread largely ignore it which worries me. It’s mostly bickering over the significance of the problem without recognizing that the solution offered in the OP (mandatory DNA testing by the government for every child & father without due process) would create such a significantly larger problem than its attempting to solve.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/20 01:24 AM
2

This thread is about mandating the test. The government cannot mandate something like this that costs what is to some people a significant price ($300 to $500 per test). Additionally, the government requiring the DNA submission of every parent & child is, quite honestly, insane. This is not 1984.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/20 12:36 AM

It would cost roughly $1 to $2 billion per year, but the concerns are not mainly financial. All parents and children born after the law was enacted would be mandated to give their DNA to the government. We're quickly approaching 1984 levels of government overreach with something like this; there is no fucking way I'm letting the US government mandate that every one of its citizens provide DNA samples without due process (which is clearly unconstitutional). I'm a man. There's no fucking way I'm voluntarily giving my DNA to the government for any reason whatsoever. Why do you think providing this is an acceptable recourse? It's more like $1,500 for prenatal testing. You should also understand that the CVS test that may cost $49 doesn't work in a court of law; a legally binding test administered by medical professionals costs somewhere in the neighborhood of $300 to $500.

Insurance is not going to pay for anything not medically necessary. This would absolutely and fundamentally be a government expense. If the government inexplicably required insurance to pay, insurance rates would go up such that it would end up being an expense on the taxpayers regardless, just in a more roundabout way. We're talking about a cost to the government on the order of $1 to $2 billion per year.

The difference between region and culture are crazy high; I have no doubt that you’re both accurately describing your respective cultures, but neither anecdote negates the other.

I don’t mind it so long as it isn’t intruding on my life, but I understand you do. Everyone has varying levels of acceptance of behavior (of all types). It’s not your call whether or not he personally cares about a particular behavior.

It wasn't then either. Dating wasn't very different at all back then; the major difference is that the number of ways to meet have increased.

It was probably *more* common in earlier times due to the fact that women had very few options (couldn't easily leave). When my grandparents divorced in the 50s, my grandmother immediately started dating her first boss (she had to work for the first time, the dude was 25 years her elder) for some semblance of stability.

I haven’t heard of it in forever, but where I grew up (70s-80s middle-class suburbs in SoCal), a lot of families in my neighborhood had them; they’d hire young early 20s Eastern European immigrants, house them & feed them and pay them like $50/week spending money and they’d have nights/weekends mostly off. And the anger comment was because you judged someone immediately in a visceral way without actually understanding what they were talking about. Impulsive as shit.

How did I dodge your question? You asked: when was the last time you drove through a town, known for its concentration of illegal immigrants, and said "wow. This is nice?" And I answered truthfully: I went kayaking off the beaches of Oxnard CA last weekend and it was an extremely pleasant day.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/18 07:02 PM

The number of legal immigrants in the US today is ~44 million, and the number of illegal immigrants is ~12 million. Most of the obesity problems in major cities are generally isolated to the poor areas of each. It’s relatively difficult and expensive to feed your family healthy food day in and day out. I do understand that our nation is incredibly obese, but it’s just not been my life experience that it’s evident where I’ve lived. If it weren't a pervasive issue we're discussing and instead was one individual incident you were describing, I'd agree that it's victim blaming. However, you have stated that literally every woman (minus your current SO) you've ever had a close relationship with has hit you. If a woman is beat by her boyfriend and someone says she's at fault in some way, I'd fervently defend her, but if she was getting into abusive relationships continuously over time, I'd say she is doing something wrong.

I have been hit by one ex-girlfriend and my late mother (once, when I was 19). I have had many relationships with women both romantic and otherwise in my 42 years on this earth. It's just simply not as common as you're making it out to be and if you truly have never had another relationship with a woman that didn't hit you then you're either doing something wrong or fraternizing with the wrong crowd.

Your quote of his comment is wrong; he didn't say "no big deal" anywhere in his comment, he said that it's "not as big of a deal" which is completely different. Saying grand theft auto is not as big of a deal as murder is not the same as saying grand theft auto is no big deal.

That's how I feel. I'm literally twice my girlfriend's size and if she were, in the heat of the moment, to shove or slap me, I would not even consider beating the shit out of her because I could. The exact same goes for smaller men. This is all out the window if there were a weapon because it disproportionally builds on their ability to do damage, but that's not what we're talking about here.

How am I being obtuse? You clearly said that managing an auto body shop wasn't blue collar work, which to me clearly means you've never worked in the environment. Managing any basic auto shop requires a specific knowledge & ability to do the work to be effective.

What's the clear definition? My father (previously mentioned) spent 41 years working as a machinist (hourly position), and then recently got a $10k raise to get a salary job as the lead machinist, but his salary actually went down because of loss of overtime. What is he? Blue, pink, or white collar? He still fervently believes he's blue collar. Is he wrong? Or is it possible your classification system possibly flawed?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/18 06:38 AM

Do you think there's a clear definition between between white and blue collar work in the US? I find it shocking that anyone might see it as black & white line between the two, but you clearly do. Law specifically is fucked in this regard. I think it’s too often the “wtf do I do with this philosophy BA” crutch. It’s also slightly glamorous (at least compared to finance) which fuels the supply/demand. The people I know in finance make the most money by far when considering the investment in education, but if you don’t enjoy it it’ll be grueling. I don’t think it’s inherently racist (also note I’ve never heard the phrase “toxic blackness before”), but that it’s very likely, given the racism that still exists in our society, spoken by a racist. I’m also not sure about racism being based in feelings of superiority, but I could be wrong... most of my family is racist and I don’t think they see white people as superior, they’re just inherently uncomfortable around black people. I see it largely as a trait of supremely sheltered people.

My post: I do know in a significant portion of the US that absentee dads are a major problem; something like 50% of the African-American community grew up without knowing their father. Your response: [why don’t you believe single mothers exist in greater numbers than 4%?] I’d love to hear where you see me saying otherwise... are you just arguing for the sake of arguing?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/18 12:39 AM

You make a point that isn’t proven out by the data you presented as your proof. I don’t have a single opinion against what you’re saying, I’m just pointing out that your assertion isn’t proven one way or the other by the data you provided. Did you read the last half of my first post? I literally said how pervasive single motherhood is and you responded combatively saying single motherhood is high (thus entirely agreeing in the tone of disagreement).
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/18 12:27 AM

Why are you so combative? I was very clearly agreeing with this specific point. I don’t have a position, I was merely pointing out that the data you presented doesn’t match the assertion you took from it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/18 12:24 AM

I don’t think anyone sane would argue that “paternity fraud” isn’t unethical and immoral. But you’re the one making the assertion that it’s common, therefore it’s on you to provide the evidence/data, not me. I do know in a significant portion of the US that absentee dads are a major problem; something like 50% of the African-American community grew up without knowing their father.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/18 12:22 AM

I don’t think there’s anything universal when it comes to attraction. I’ve fucked up quite a few relationships because I traveled too much for work, but you would probably put a high salary (which for me is intertwined with a lot of travel) as a universally attractive thing for men to have.

I’ve literally never encountered a situation where a woman chastised a man for not dating an overweight woman, and I’ve been around a lot longer than you. I did it more on Okcupid than Tinder. And on eHarmony before Okcupid. My whole point is that the medium is a way to connect with people. I never felt any significant difference between the sites besides the interface and information required to join (and $$ in some cases). The concept of going out and specifically looking for a LTR before you've met someone is a weird one to me, but I understand that everyone's different. I look to enjoy my life; if it happens I meet someone great and want to do…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/18 01:50 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/18 12:45 AM
2

I’ve been on many sites. I’ve had LTRs off Okcupid and Tinder, and I’ve hooked up with girls from all sites. Tinder does lean more toward hook-ups and eHarmony does mean more toward LTRs, but by no means should you make absolute declaration about them (which you did).
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/18 11:57 PM

That invalidates your point that Tinder is only reserved for hookups. My entire point is that it’s a multi-faceted platform.

So are you telling me I’m either pro-gun and pro-life or anti-gun and pro-choice? I can’t have individual opinions on a variety of issues and still call myself either a Republican or Democrat? When did that rule come into place?

Wait, so now titles have to be all or none? Why is the team mentality so pervasive in society today? It may be revisionist, but I don't recall it used to be this way.

That's not even close to a relevant answer to OP's question. It's just a bitchy whine.

I don’t consider myself fat, but I’m definitely overweight and have never had problems sleeping with objectively attractive women. I don’t think women care quite as much as men do.

Trump wasn’t elected monarch - he answers to the American people, and is limited by the legislative and judicial branches (as well as his own Executive branch as we’re seeing now). Unless something changes, the American people are ultimately in charge and the vast majority opposes what you’re saying.

Not communist, but I am an iBanker and a staunch liberal. And there are a lot of us, just FYI. You attaching your crazy girlfriend’s beliefs to what she perceives to be is irrelevant. I’ve dated crazy feminists too, yet I still aspire to the notion of equality of opportunity.

God, I hope you’re just being facetious. To summarize: Asking a subordinate/coworker if you can whip your dick out and masturbate is sexual harassment, but in most cases it is not technically illegal (you will be fired from virtually every organization for this). Whipping your dick out and masturbating without consent is illegal; you will most certainly be fired and likely charged with a criminal act. Is this clear enough for you?

I'm a bit older than you, but my evaluation of your experience against mine: Things our experiences agree upon: Women do expect their partner to be (relatively) as financially secure as them (we kind of agree on this): I've dated hundreds of women over the many years I've been alive, and it is generally (always?) seen as a benefit that I make a good amount of money and had a stable career that I love (or, at times, that I at least pretended to love), though I have dated women that made more than…

I have quite a few childhood friends that became doctors (I grew up in an affluent community outside of LA) and literally none of them married significantly younger, or significantly more physically attractive than they are. In fact, they are all very driven and don't really have all that much time to socialize/date (annoying for me as I want to keep up with my friends), and weren't terribly happy with their single lives because of this. I've also had no trouble dating women my age (37, and been…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/18 10:56 PM

Same. Went into a relationship at 25 and broke up 6 years later. Dating is so much easier in your 30s, and I suspect this won’t change in my 40s either (though I am in a LTR now at 37).
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/18 08:49 PM

Granted I'm probably older than you, but I've slept with a lot of women; some became girlfriends, some didn't. But it's been at least 15 years since a girl required some sort of relationship contract before sleeping together. That's very much a thing that happens when you're young, at least in the circles I run in.

Racism comes out in a lot of ways. Do you never talk about politics in real life? I do think it's at least a little refreshing that you're not denying what you are - you don't further the "I'm not racist but..." meme. There's something to that. Either way, I'm done with this conversation, and I'm sorry about your struggles with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/17 03:43 AM
2

Do you realize you sound negative and racist on Reddit (granted anonymously) at least? My experience (anecdotal) is that people don't really have a great handle on how they're perceived, and I know for fucking sure the way you talk doesn't work with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/17 03:00 AM
2

I'll ignore the racism in your post- if the ratio is in your favor (on the order of many tens of thousands more single straight women than men) and a lot of those men are "pervy," then your odds are crazy good and you and your friends are doing something very wrong (or you're just undesirable). Do you casually spout racist statements and exude negativity in real life, or just anonymously on the internet? Because that could definitely be your problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/17 12:12 AM

I think if the only place you're capable of meeting women is at work then you're probably a bit of a derp (whatever that is).
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/17 06:08 PM

That may be true in your group, but it is far from the norm. Roughly 10% of people met their SO at work. Less than through friends, at a bar, or online.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/17 08:10 PM
1

That's fair. I don't know anything about your situation or career but I think it's possible you undervalue what you could do if you put your mind to it (provided you actually wanted to move)- I moved to Brooklyn unemployed with only a couple thousand savings when I was 25 and it was the best decision for me. I do think it's much tougher to date in a lot of places, particularly the Midwest.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/17 07:15 PM
1

Yes, they are attractive and thin. I live in Los Angeles, and spent a decade (mostly single) in Brooklyn, and never had a problem. Honestly, I rarely ever see overweight people at bars or on Tinder at all. I'm going to guess your locale is a big reason for your issues - why not move?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/17 06:23 PM
4

Huh. I'm not super attractive and am a bit overweight and have had no trouble with either. Perhaps you have more to work on than you think? And regardless of that, how in the world do you think it's acceptable to make sexually suggestive moves on coworkers at work?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/17 06:12 PM

This chart takes inflation into account. You can't make a coherent argument by saying "do research" and not providing a link or any information at all. It's obviously because you're wrong and can't find any supporting facts to back up your batshit crazy notions. I'm done arguing with you; your critical thinking abilities are obviously underdeveloped and this is a waste of time. Have a good day.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 06:16 PM

What the fuck does "do your own research" mean? I pulled a chart of 50 years of data taken by the Census Bureau. What research of your own can you show to refute my chart? Also, shootings have declined significantly since the 1970s.

How much do you believe men made 50 years ago? Which of these lines promotes your viewpoint?

Honestly, I'll never understand putting sexual experience as a negative. Is it openly because you're insecure (in that she'll know you're awful in bed), or is there another reason? Also, men made less money in 1963 than they do today, and had no offsetting spousal salary to compensate. In what way did they have more power?

I'm a dude. No booty shorts.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 11:33 PM

That's absolutely false. I'm 36 and hook up with strangers from bars all the time, as do many of my similarly aged friends (both male and female). Maybe that's not incredibly common everywhere, but it sure as fuck is everywhere I've lived in my 30s (Brooklyn and LA).

It's insanely disgusting to me that someone would want that life for their daughters.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/17 08:38 PM

If you need to come up with complex theories to understand what makes men sexually attractive to women, you are obviously just frustrated about the fact that you're not. It's pretty fucking clear what is and is not attractive to any socially conscious person. You rail against women for telling stories based on their experiences rather than facts in story form based on your experiences. It's honestly insane to me that you can't recognize the ridiculousness of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/17 09:16 PM
5

You haven't provided a single fact in this thread; you're just telling me stories based on your interpretation of your experiences. Sounds pretty hypocritical to me. You think you're smarter than you are.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/17 08:59 PM

That is such a ridiculously misogynist statement to make. Nearly all statements out of every woman on earth are lies?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/17 08:39 PM

The argument is over the relevance to the jury of said facts and whether they are admissible in court, not whether the defense attorney is moral or immoral in trying to defend his client however he can. The jury only sees what the judge deems relevant.

My point wasn't that NO one has this opinion; clearly at least two do (via your Google searches for op-ed pieces on exactly this topic). My point is that it's not a widespread belief, even within the feminist community. Your OP states specifically that you're targeting people who DO believe this, yet the problem is that they are too few and far between to read some random post on some random subreddit to respond; the amount of actual responses you'll get from followers of this "doctrine" are ver…

Here's your problem... the vast majority of BPers do not believe the following is true, thus your question is not answerable. So it's pretty well established in feminist circles that being drunk removes a woman's ability to offer meaningful consent. As such if she appears to consent but is clearly intoxicated the man should back off and if he doesn't he is raping her. You're basing your entire argument on a ridiculous premise, therefore your question is targeted to no one, therefore there isn't …

My feminist rationale differs from your anecdotal, unattributed feminist opinion. I guess maybe it's true that groups of people don't always have a singular thought. In fact, most of the people that live in my large "town" (North Brooklyn) consider themselves feminists and have a LOT of random drunk sex. Being young is not a personal attack - don't be so sensitive. And for the record, I consider myself a feminist.

No, it's not. How old are the 'feminists' you're talking to? I get, from the way you speak and the logic you present, that you're very young, early 20s or even late teens... if your peers are this age, they aren't (in general) capable of having a thought-out critical opinion based on experience on this issue; they are likely spouting generic points brought up by people the look up to who have a more nuanced way of explaining their opinions.

I'm a mid 30s man, I drink a lot (too much, to excess), all of the girls I date drink a lot, and I understand this puts me in a very grey area at times. I exclusively date liberals (/feminists) and have had sex many times for the first time while drunk. Not once has anyone ever accused me of breaching consent. What do you mean by "wonky gender roles"? By"modern gender roles", I mean equality.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/15 05:59 AM

I see TRPers as people dissatisfied with the social structure as it exists today. People that are dissatisfied with the social structure are by and large not doing well in said structure, are not doing well in the structure, do not have good jobs or hold the attention of women. By this logic, TRPers are generally unsuccessful in life & with women, therefore they feel they need society to change to mold to who they are, which is their inherent goal. I'm referring to generic TRP opinions, in that women are essentially inferior human beings; I apologize if this isn't you. And your reasoning is good to be where you are; the way I read your comment made it sound like you were unhappy where you are. To be fair, though, I'm interested in relationships as well (and have been in quite a few), but I figure while single that playing around while looking for someone that really matches with me is fine.

I'm sure it is. I've also lived in LA for quite a few years and feel it's no different here, but yes, it's inherently easier than living in the middle of nowhere. Thankfully, I love cities, and my career revolves around them, so no worries.

Honestly, I'd rather live in a place where kill-or-be-killed isn't tolerated. Gun control is sort of my bag. I don't feel comfortable with your "Rick James" types legally carrying, and I will continue to live where it isn't tolerated, but thanks for the advice.

If you're skirting 6 feet tall, height is not your problem with women. If I had to guess, you're 19 years old and that, coupled with your disdain of women in general, that is obviously your major problem, but I don't know you and can't justify your negativity further.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/15 07:34 AM

That isn't a coherent thought. Care to elaborate? In what way are homosexuals degenerates? Does their existence threaten yours? Do they threaten your way of life? Do they steal your women away? What do they do that makes you feel insubordinate to them?

Honestly, I do judge "them" in that I hate the marginalization of a particular segment of the human's population's emotions, which is a core tenant of TRP: that inherently, biologically & socially, women are inferior. I don't see how judging a bigoted group's feelings is worse than judging them themselves. And I also don't see how judging women negatively increases your chances of getting to stick parts of your anatomy into theirs. It's, quite honestly, baffling to me. Having spent some time in …

I'm not judging any strategy- I employ my own (conciously or subconsciously) which seems to work. My problem with TRP isn't on that side (though I feel uncomfortable calling it a "strategy as that feels wrong), my problem is the judgment of people that goes along with it.

In the United States, paternity testing is fully legal, and fathers may test their children without the consent or knowledge of the mother. What is the non-partisan reasoning for it being illegal?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/15 11:47 PM

Ah, don't know anything about legal issues in France. The US is not this extreme. In the US, being a biological parent legally holds a LOT of weight.

Hipster Brooklyn, college-educated professionals, mostly single, mid 30s, very liberal. I do recognize that this isn't the 'norm' statistically, but there are a LOT of us. If my community has 100k (probably an underestimate) in NYC alone, that means there must be 100 communities of a similar size (10 million) that have literally ZERO people with 20 partners in their lifetime.

I do not believe that 99% (or anything close to that) have had fewer than 20 partners. That is ludicrous. Are they polling 20 year olds? Maybe my demographic is a massively slutty one, but I don't think I have a single friend (male or female) that has slept with less than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/15 10:28 PM

Wait, what country do you live in that disallows paternity testing? In the US, a paternity test doesn't even require the mother's consent/knowledge.

Absolutely this. I drunkenly got in the middle of an altercation outside a bar in Brooklyn where the aggressor was CLEARLY in the wrong, and ended up with him pulling a gun on me. I was scared shitless; the experience completely changed how I react regarding conflict with strangers.

If I presented to you irrefutable facts (impossible) that you were wrong, you would not change your beliefs. You make assumptions to match what you believe the world to be like and discredit anything that doesn't match up. I'm just thankful that you're in the vast minority and thus are drowned out my more reasonable people. I'm sorry that women have hurt you so badly that you feel marginalized in our society.

I'm not a divorce attorney; I just know that, at least in CA, my mother's assets prior to her marriage with my father were not factored into her alimony payments (and thus were significantly less than they would have been). To be honest, I don't understand the mentality. Do they view their sisters like this? Their mothers? It's honestly crazy to me. Also, I don't consider myself a BPer. I think by identifying yourself as such, you're giving an undeserved identity to RP, a movement that doesn't deserve an identity.

It's not at all, but it means your opinions are not relevant to adults. I felt the same way as you twenty years ago; you will grow and change. The opinions you hold now aren't based on real world experiences. It puts your arguments in context.

Admitting you aren't would make you a hypocrite by definition and admitting you are would either make your point stronger or illegitimate depending on the circumstances. Being worried about an internet stranger calling you a "loser" for being a virgin makes me assume you're still in HS and thus your opinion on the matter of social discourse (specifically pertaining to sex & marriage) can largely be ignored.

The oft-used 'car' analogy is all over this subreddit. It's abhorrent. I'm pretty sure that most of the Redditers using it are insecure 19 year olds afraid that a girl will recognize that they aren't satisfying in bed. Desiring virginity, to me, is disgusting.

I feel that this situation (specifically that men always want sex and that women use it as a tool) is completely overblown on these forums. I'm in my mid 30s and thus have many married friends (both male and female), and in my experience (anecdotal by definition), I've seen more women complaining about not being physically wanted than men. If you're not talking about yourself, then you're speaking for all men, which I resent as I have a completely polar opposite viewpoint. Female friends do for me exactly what male friends do for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/15 01:57 AM

Can you explain 'why'? I don't understand how you view women less capable of being worthwhile to you. I honestly can't see how you could have a half-decent sexual relationship with a woman if you only view them as a sexual possession.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/15 09:51 PM
18

I really don't even know how to respond to you. Your views are so deluded. Do you really believe you're incapable of being friends with women? Do you shun your sisters if they can't offer to help you get laid? Can you have a normal relationship with THEM? If so, why not an unrelated women?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/15 09:48 PM
15

Is there literally nothing in the world important to you beyond getting laid? Do you have any male friends that don't get you laid? You obviously don't view women as people if you see them only as a means to an end (getting your dick wet).
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/15 09:46 PM

You have literally zero real female friends? How old are you?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/15 09:45 PM

I was in love with my best friend in college (female) for years (I was awkward and didn't really understand how to display feelings back then, much like the Redditers who complain about "friendzone"). Now, she's married, I'm very capable of dating, and we're good friends. I have no leftover sexual feelings at all about her. "whats in that for anyone?" implies you don't value friendships. That's too bad.

I think our differences may stem from how we view sex. While it is a deeply emotional experience when shared with someone I love, it can also be enjoy it on a purely physical level (at least in my experience). I don't feel any insecurity that any girl in love with me is reminiscing feelings from past illicit encounters because what we have should be greater than that.

As is common here, you're defining substance solely on the merits of a sexual past. I've met quite a few very attractive girls (mostly friends from HS) with VERY low partner counts (artificially, for the same reasons that TRP dictates - so they can marry) that I would argue are so lacking in substance (vapid, narrow-minded, superficial, politically ignorant), and I've met many girls that have slept around in the past (& maybe the present) but make efforts to do great things for the world and are…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/15 05:08 PM

Your consistent use of the word slut expresses a contrary view of what you're trying to convey. The way I read your comment is that you think girls waiting to have sex with you is a bad thing (or "whack as fuck"), yet by virtue of calling them sluts, you're labeling them negatively for having had past sexual partners. Double standard.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/15 04:57 PM

I hate this analogy; it explicitly implies that experience equates to degredation of quality, which I've explained clearly above is exactly the opposite of my view. Do you feel that you've become less worthwhile a commodity each time you've slept with someone?

You're not wrong; I recognize that. My point being, people change. My dad was like me (well, the Vietnam vet / 1970s version of me), met my mom at 32 (prob equivalent to older in 2015), and was happily married till the day she died (after celebrating their 30 year anniversary). I don't identify with any pill. I'm just stating my personal feelings (and that of many of my friends). I'm a mid 30s single Brooklynite in case that matters. I very much like living in a sexually open environment and am looking for like-minded girls. And I've dated monogamously with girls that have a count as high as I have that I was never worried would cheat on me (and, for the record, I have never cheated on anyone I've dedicated to). I didn't say that anyone's opinions were "bad," just that…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/15 09:10 PM

Part of what I mean by "sexually open" is that she doesn't keep her partner count artificially low to keep her stock for a redpill high; a girl that waits till after the 5th date or monogamy conversations is probably not going to be compatible with me.
