Still has hobbies he had as a teenager So? You don't have to stop liking things once you hit a certain age. Very few things we can talk about are adult things Like what, taxes? Maybe the topics just don't interest him. Abortion Recognizing you can't take care of a kid and having it aborted is the responsible choice, no? Acts like a beta If you still subscribe to this stereotype being an actual thing, you should cut things off. He will likely be better off.

The political left needs to accept and embrace men. Until men are treated with respect and acknowledged, most will feel only one political party, no matter how awful it is otherwise, actually listens to them.

Are you saying being a lesbian is misandrist? That would be like a guy saying "nowhere near a woman" being interpreted as misogyny. Maybe everyone else here is just pessimistic but I'm not going to scream misandry when there's still enough of a chance someone is just a lesbian.
/r/MensRights13/02/25 08:14 PM

This was my thought as well. Immediately calling it misandry seems a bit forced.

Why do couples in third world countries have more kids? Easy. Lack of female education, meaning women typically don't have a choice in careers. In going back to the healthcare prompt - less access to contraceptives. There's a lot more physical labor to be done, and kids generate a lot of that labor. And you said it yourself - if you're rich, exactly what incentive would get you to have kids? It isn't money, that's for sure. Look at average, middle class citizens - everything I listed previously …

Incentives for starting a family isn't it. If you want people to be more likely to start a family, fix the fucked up economy, make houses affordable, provide a living wage, and take climate action.
/r/MensRights05/03/24 05:19 AM

That's not what is being referred to at all. Women giving birth is a role only they can do. The gender role discussion is on behaviors and acceptable jobs. Women who don't want kids aren't going to want them, and those that do will have them.

This happens when you make a comment that is correct, but someone doesn't WANT it to be correct, so they desperately try to scavenge your profile for anything they can use to discredit you. Take it as a compliment.

The best auto-ban I received was from r/vaxxhappened. Their bot didn't like that I posted in r/conspiracy... ...even though the comment that it picked up on was me mocking an anti-vaxxer post. It'd be hilarious if it wasn't so damn pathetic of those mods.

Nah. If I get banned for posting somewhere, then the place I was banned from isn't worth my time anyway. I got auto banned from vaxxhappened for posting in conspiracy, when my comments in the sub were mocking/calling out a post for vaccine misinformation. That was... unexpected.

However, considering their banning practice, it's safe to say that participating in a subreddit they don't like does violate one of their rules. Else they wouldn't ban for it. In which case, they're banning because you broke one of their rules elsewhere which falls under that clause.

Do you know alternate subreddits for things like this and KotakuInAction? I've seen things slowly get distorted to a more right-leaning angle and it isn't easy to share a leftist perspective on things. It's a weird space to be in. I'd definitely consider myself a liberal but some things I believe apparently are more right-leaning and there's no place to really talk about them. I'm not asking for a safe space or any bullshit like that, but a place where you can actually discuss stuff with those w…

Wanna play the source game? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lifeboats_of_the_RMS_Titanic "One of the ship's legacies was that it had 20 lifeboats that could only accommodate 1,178 people, despite the fact that there were approximately 2,208 on board. " "705 people, mostly men, remained in the lifeboats until later that morning when they were rescued by RMS Carpathia. "
/r/MensRights11/03/19 08:42 PM

Fair enough. Memorials are pointless. Let's trash them all because remembering people who did selfless things and saved others doesn't matter since they're dead. If you're ever in a situation like the Titanic where not everyone can survive, you are more than welcome to shove others aside for a spot on the lifeboat and sail away as you look at the faces of those now moments from death. I won't judge. No, really, i won't. In situations like that, no one can be blamed for wanting to live. There is …

What political opponent? How does a memorial to the men who died on the Titanic support a candidate? I am actually baffled at this.
/r/MensRights11/03/19 07:50 PM

Ok, look. A tragedy can happen. Hell, one undoubtedly will happen again, and chances are people are going to die. Unless someone is a terrorist instigating the tragedy, everyone is going to hope that those caught in whatever happens get out safely. Man, woman, whoever. For this accident, not everyone could have been saved. Choices had to be made, and the men stood up and gave themselves to death so others could live. Some may have scoured the rooms to help others who were stuck or scared. Others…
