Honestly if you're not strapped in Brazil you're doing something wrong. So even if it's sexist I'm not really bothered by this

Am I the only one who noticed the book cover, the formatting, and the whole title is inspired by How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie?

If this is a meme party, it’s cool. But posting it on insta is super cringe. Also brings into question if this was done specifically for attention.

100% is. Asia is kinda infamous for problematic advertising. There was also that commercial where a woman puts a black dude in a washing machine and he comes out white.

Not even specific to gender, people need to lower their standards, universally. People have this romanticized version of a perfect vacation in their minds that they desperately try to create, but end up failing when the main purpose of a vacation is to relax and enjoy things. I think a lot of people, both men and women, have unlearned the ability to E N J O Y T H I N G S. For vacations, my standards are cheese crackers and wine, which pretty much guarantees my happiness and enjoyment everywhere

The maternity and paternity time off part is dumb, both new moms and dads should be given longer time than is typically seen in the western world But the entire comic is hella dumb. It cherry picks the roles women have and completely ignores the ones men do. Also I hate that we’re completely reducing grown adults to infants in doing the normal things people do to exist in a society. Most of these things are not that complicated, and take no mental strain. It probably took them more time to make …

To be fair India is behind the curve on rape laws in general See: Terrible legal handling of scam call centers in Kolkata (police caught 300 scammers and fined them $100, after they scam millions of dollars from old people in US and Europe. A whole 33 cents in fines per person, and 0 jail time) India’s a terrible role model on so many things; it’s a developing country

If they support alimony cuz they think the breadwinner made the marriage fail but later say it’s not relevant, they are definitively hypocrites. Regardless, saying “don’t get married if you don’t want a legal partner” is a fair assertion

It literally says “Despite the data showing that women generally earn less money than men, single women have the homeownership edge. There are a few possible explanations.” at the beginning of the section. Those are the author’s theories.

Reading OOP’s comment history it really seems like he has a good head on his shoulders and isn’t caving in to the femcel BS. Most of the top comments say NTA for being fine with a gender preference, which is pretty hopeful, I think. There’s still a lot of progress to be made, but I’m glad some progress has been made. The real problem lies in the people thinking it’s sexist to expect a male student, as well as the wife (for being entitled) and the doctor (not asking if the patient has a gender pr…

I hate it so much when my mom talks smack all day long. She wants to get paid $500k a year, but doesn’t want to take on any management roles or learn anything new to make more money. But she still wants to be paid $500k a year. She’s been a statistician/analyst all her life and at the end of her career she takes home the same amount of money people in my field (computing) take home at their first non-entry-level job. I’ve tried on multiple occasions to sign her up for coding camps or even someth…

The #MeToo movement has also created some problems regarding male harassment by females. Some of my peers’ coworkers have gotten sexually molested at company parties and the (males) just can’t do anything about it less they get charged with sexual assault, when they’re the one being assaulted. Hearing about it on the news is completely different than hearing someone else in your life talk about the screwed up things that happen at events they’re basically required to be at. A lot of companies ha…

I don’t think he sets himself up to be surrounded with gold diggers. When you make millions per year, it gets really hard to determine who actually likes you for who you are vs. out for your money. Very few people have a good judgment of other people’s personality or true motives. And the ones that do are mostly above the age of 50. In all stages of life it’s about surrounding yourself with the right people. And he evidently does not have the skills to do so, and thus has that (somewhat atrociou…

There’s also the Shirtwaist Fire. America was crazy back then The TLDR is that a bunch of cotton shit caught fire and there were no fire exits and the main entrance was locked so like 100+ women got burned alive and that’s why we now have emergency exits and fire extinguishers in buildings 100% agree we should be raising awareness for MR, not fighting.

And if I’m wrong that’s really fucking sad that there are two universities (probably more) that work this way. I wouldn’t say they’re both similar in that they’re both invisible. Without getting too religious, Jesus did exist. A patriarchal society did once exist. People being sexist bastards has existed and still exists. These are not invisible. I would liken it to more “out of their hands” or “out of their control” than invisible.

female teachers mark down on average 20 percent on male students Yeah this simply isn’t true at all. It’s definitely more than 20 percent. I find it hard to believe that a person (female) who’s been suspended more than 4 times within a 2 year period and barely passes classes gets a sudden 86% on the final where she attended virtually no (<5) classes the entire year. I like to think being a good driver is being able to change your driving based on where you are and being able to adapt to other people’s driving abilities. If you drive defensively in Hong Kong you’ll get nowhere because everyone drives aggressively there. If you see a single aggressive driver among a bunch of defensive ones, being a good driver is being able to react to the aggressive driver and driving defensively so two aggressive drivers don’t become a car accident/crash.

To be fair, he HAS HAD people with references and studies to back up their point argue back at him. Except that person’s source was NAACP. He didn’t get mad. He just pointed out the bias of the NAACP and argued on principle, instead of statistics. Probably shouldn’t talk if you don’t know. A good chunk of Crowder’s following is made up of people who don’t totally agree with him, which is why there are so many comments.

This is true everywhere except at the middle school I attended. I have a fond memory of walking into a guy’s bathroom in middle school and wet TP soaked with pee and poo started raining down from the ceiling. Apparently you can slam it up there so hard that it sticks there for a few hours, then falls horrifically to people below. Mind you that the ceiling is 15 feet up, so that it gains speed while falling and the janitors can’t effectively remove them without a ladder.
