Stuff like this makes me scared of having children. The idea that they could be taken away from me solely because my partner is a woman is absolutely terrifying. Also makes me scared of relationships in general, how can I actually trust anyone else enough to not cut and run when an opportunity presents itself.

Mutilate: To inflict a violent and disfiguring injury on a person. Permanently removing a part of someone's body for non-medical/religious reasons sounds like mutilation to me.
