May I ask what the difference is between my ideology and yours? It seems that you are upset by my challenging yours. I could be reading it wrong. I only don't engage when I feel that I or the other person doesn't have much to learn from one another. I feel that if anger and insults are all that I'm instigating; our attention is probably put to better use in another interaction.

No no please don't misunderstand; I engage in arguments with those who disagree with me for a reason! There's always something to learn. Even if no one ever changes their mind completely, I love walking away from these conversations with new perceptions. That being said, I won't interact with someone who obviously feels they have nothing to learn or just produces angry accusations(calm accusation with explanation is no problem, that's how the justice system works) and then a claim to a degree. I…

I've been responding when I believe there's valuable lessons to learn from the other party! I've learned a lot in this thread!

In that case, I'll move on to the next productive argument. Thank you for your opinion! Regards,

I am judging your education based on your response rather than your degree, unfortunately.

I'm glad you bring that up. I tried to work as a mechanic for my first job. Both me and my best friend. We were both told by our fathers and the shop that it wasn't women's work. Go into Walmart and look at the clothes they have for little girls that say "pretty princess" or the like, then look at the boys who have actual careers or skills showing. Same with barbies and other children's toys. I also would love to see women doing dangerous jobs, so would so many of my female friends. I work at a …

Oof okay I understand that blaming men for being victims is how that came off. The perpetrators are ALWAYS at fault no matter the gender of the victim. I do believe though that fathers should be teaching their sons that it's okay to have emotions/reactions, that they ARE allowed to be affected by trauma and to open up about it. Because often boys are following the example of the older men in their life. Just like women are following the examples of their mothers(feels like the ultimate betrayal …

My favorite privilege is one provided by reddit to both men and women and is my favorite - the downvote. Please feel free to return to me at a later date once you have furthered your education and research. Kind Regards.

Intention isn't always what matters. Which sucks. But sometimes it's the effect of an action that matters, not what the person was meaning. An example of this is in one of my previous comments to someone. The message I sent was not the message he received, therefore what I intended is irrelevant. With further conversation we may be on the same side even. I'll watch the TedTalk though; it sounds like a good one! I took a basic comm class a few years ago and we spent the entire semester practicing…

I understand that you are angry and probably feel invalidated. I personally don't attend a lot of women's marches because I believe it focuses on white women(which is what I am), and women of color should definitely be getting the main focus because the system has hurt them the most. Still, feminism IS to help women, because whether you want to acknowledge it or not, systematically women have had way less rights then men, so yes my perfect feminists DO focus on women. As far as taking children a…

there's often something extremely self-centered about this line of thought. Something you would immediately recognize True, I know a lot of my interactions about these conversations are swayed because so many men don't come forward. I believe I've talked to about ten men who have opened up about their experience fully, I'd say about 20-30 more who have hinted about it(a clear indication that they are uncomfortable or trying to invalidate their trauma). Obviously I don't push those people...or an…

If the things listed above are truly what you believe, you're not included in "all men" ..those are just words(symbols) being used in an attempt to highlight that it's much bigger than just a few men or even just a few regions. Again, some take it too far, there's always those people. Even so, I think that while those people are annoying, they're less harmful than the individuals trying to disregard the argument as a whole. Sure, you get attacked by some women who have taken it too far. But know…

There are actually very few women who think that women are the only victims. None that I know of and I run in some strong feminist crowds(not sayin they aren't there, it's just not the prevalent crowd). It is interesting to me though, that in my experience male victims only get mentioned when someone is trying to disregard female victims. Almost as if you don't care about any of the victims at all, only about invalidating feminism.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
