I highly doubt that though, there are a lot of people who see nothing wrong with race, but would never have an interacial relationship. There are a lot of these women who will scorn someone for judging a short man, but never date a short man themselves. It's complete fair too, until you become a enraged hypocrite over it the other way.

You're generally right, the problem lies in lack of even some real evidence. It's he-said she-said and both are credible. Her proof starts from a story she tells decades later with hazy context which I fully believe she believes. But her citing a witness who says they have no memory at all means there is even less possible evidence out there. I'm not sure what to believe but I'm not able to condemned someone with a long public track record of good public service (even if he isn't my ideal SCOTUS…
