Some context for folks who are new to this situation. For a few days this week the story of a young girl who was found half dead by a pool spread like wild fire that she was sexually assaulted. It was on major news outlets everywhere that it was fact that she was sexually assaulted. I've spent a lot of time here, as well as visiting other forums and such. This subreddit is full of intelligent folks, however venture outside of here and you're presented with pure toxic individuals. And its those individuals that people associate this group with(because they call themselves MRAs as well). You have to literally be blind if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Honestly, I just wish people didn't put a label on it. Fight for the rights of everyone and recognize when there is injustice being had for once again, everyone. I believe currently that true feminists and true MRAs are extremely alike, as they actually do care about the rights of both sexes and thats how it should be. In my discussions, it is often bought up that feminism also cares about men's issues hence there is no point to Men's Rights. While I don't really believe that is largely true since I barely see them(if at all) look at any issues you guys talk about and discuss. So I think its pretty fair to say the Men's Rights also DO care about feminism and agree with them, but do not particularly focus on the same problems.

I think its absolutely completely ridiculous that people are getting super upset over a character being raped, but they don't even blink or bat an eye to a character that gets decapitated or something similar. Why is rape some holy subject that should never be touched, but feel free to kill and mutilate any character you want. I also like how they try to paint the picture that rape is a woman issue only. This article is so mysogynistic its ridiculous.
