You're a good friend 👍 Btw, asking your friends is highly variable. As someone who does this with my own friends.... I'd say most dudes miss it 90% of the time. And especially when it comes to personal situations, I'm so sure for other people but in my own head I'm always doubtful about my own prospects.

No. Instrumental vs epistemic logic. So many things in our world are based on things that aren't "true". It's actually a failing of our introspection that makes us feel like our beliefs are "true ".

"use direct openers in daygame and indirect openers in nightgame, then gauge how interested they are based on their reactions. " Interesting.... I had it flipped. Secondly, how do you gauge reaction? Daytime context, I've found excitability and body language and putting in effort to the conversation aren't necessarily correlated to being open to progress things further. Also have talked to girls who say almost nothing, basic replies, but they otherwise act interested and with those girls I don't…

I take it you mean on a first date context? Because in general day to day, that's a lot of seeds being planted.

This doesn't make sense to me. If we flipped it women to man that wouldn't make sense either right? As a tangent, I think the majority of people think about themselves in their best light - like flexing in the mirror, or putting up an edited photo on social media, posing for pictures etc.

"Do you think they think your cute or charming?" That's a skill to be able to tell what other people are thinking. For those of us who don't possess it naturally, how would you break it down? Fyi as a tangential concept, people have different soft skills and while I'm better at reading the room emotionally, it's almost unfathomable to me what is on someone else's mind.

The two help each other for sure. I noticed that the majority of randoms that I chit chat with at the gym are other fit people. Aka people are more likely to talk to you/respect you and vice versa.

You're tripppppppppin bro! Things are good, don't overthink it. I've been in her shoes before, it's "embarrassing" because when you look at her like that it feels like sexy time but it might not be appropriate for sexy time ya know? Emotions can be overwhelming, eye contact between two interested parties is like boiling water, it can bubble over.

"Picking up on non-verbal choosing signals from women is also key... let the woman show you that it's ok to escalate." For the homies out here could you explain in a way that is a tad more clear/specific? Some of us have an inkling but aren't sure; and the more data is corroborated, the more confident we can be :) Thanks!

Hey I think you have a great, positive mindset! I think our personalities and desires are a bit different in regards to romance but I agree with most of what you said. I have a few questions about this statement you made. "and approach every warm invite you get" So warm invites seem to be happening everywhere, all the time, and sometimes more than one person at a time in the same place. 1) how do you manage talking to all of them? It seems impossible to me on so many levels - time, readiness, ot…

All I can say is anecdotal and based on my own life experience which I don't know how to convey without it coming off as bragging. When you say have to be a certain height, you make it sound like a requirement, not a benefit. There will always be exceptions to the rule and you gotta find a way to be that guy. As an aside, before you bring statistics into the picture. One of the first things they teach you in stats is that they are only helpful for populations, they are useless for individuals. I…

Btw thanks for the video and the reply. I'll try to absorb what I can, pretty interesting because I agree with him in the general concept of going through open ones rather than closed ones. I've kind of been peaking through those doors, being comfortable in my own skin, social, the weakest part for me is the boldness. But I'm still doing it slowly working it up like a muscle. Good luck to us!

First off, love the detail and throughness of your post. If you don't mind, I have some questions regarding a segment: "He is the only one waking up in the morning looking at the mirror everyday. We don't even know his face. He is the one that know the environment that he normally frecuent and the type of guys that women normally chase inside that environment he lives on. Part of his job, is paying attention to that. Why is that lady over there dating that guy?. Why i'm not able to get a date if…

How do you find a neutral woman who could be both perceptive and honest enough? Case in point for honesty: my friend, when he was looking to start online dating, asked for advice from friends on his profile/pictures. While some girls gave great advice, they also sort of "made him feel good about himself". Conversely, for perceptiveness: when a girl says, "you're cool", that's about as vague a descriptor as you can get. Functionally there's almost zero information in such a statement.

Great reply!! Surprisingly poignant to my own situation. Have so many further questions but don't think this is the right place for it. I detest lingerers so if I'm holding you up, no need to reply amigo. Didn't mean to drag you down a rabbit hole. Have a wonderful day!

Ayyyyyyyyyyyyy Reddit older bro! I'm full of questions haha. So, for some reason I can't quite figure out, I think I'm quite attractive to girls but I also think I'm ugly asf. I don't really know why I've been so lucky and I honestly don't have a sense for how other people see me. I'm a bit afraid that if I don't figure it out, it could magically disappear one day and I wouldn't know how to get it back. I was wondering how/if you learned what was in your secret sauce. Asking women seems like a d…

Howdy sir, I lack the initiative part of the equation. May I ask how you determine with whom you talk/flirt/engage with? Can't talk to everyone so what's your filtration system? And another tangential question, what are green lights vs yellow vs red? I have trouble telling when a woman is being extra friendly/enthusiastic why they are doing so. Or conversely when a girl is being very shy/nervous if I'm bothering them in a good or a bad way. Tx brother.

What do you mean by ethical? I'd like your thoughts on the subject as ethics is not a commonly prioritized consideration on this sub.

For a time I thought pheromones might be the answers. However, in the phenomenology of attraction it doesn't wholly make sense. There are situations that make it extremely difficult or unlikely a woman smells you or knows that the smell comes from you. 1.) They're far away, on the other side of the room/street/hall walking towards you. I noticed some women will instinctively change their walking lanes to walk closer to you and take a look but they did this before they could smell. 2.) Too many p…

"Normally I don't notice these things" Could be that too. Things might be flying under the radar so to speak 🙊. While older women may be more "brazen", I think younger women are 10x more obvious because they haven't had as much practice in monitoring their subconscious behavior.

"They're not, they're doing their job." Although most customer service interactions are like you said, even a 1% rate of flirting is going to equal something considering how often people interact in urban life. I get stuck in this conundrum as well, was she being nice or was she flirting? However, anyone who has the absolute answer with absolutely zero context is typically wrong.

I'm screaming help me! Could you really though 🤔 I have a question relating to "the world is a mirror" statement. Don't want to derail the thread though. It's a personal/philosophical quandary, do we trust what the world tells us or our own perception of reality? Both parties have been known to be wrong 🤥

Enjoyed the positivity spreading of your post! This is more of a personal question. This is not about the generalized "male experience". Your question, "But what’s worse, enduring some rejections and anxiety, or not being able to attract the kind of women you want in your life?" I am not able to attract the kind of women I want in my life. I have always screened, as extensively as possible, to look for someone who could love me in the same way I love them. What I have found, in multiple experien…

I think it's an attribution error. Most people crave things like intimacy, trust, compassion, attention, validation, security, etc. Most of the time, sex is correlated with receiving those things from a partner. It's easy to make the error that correlation = causation.

This is the conundrum, " I get drained of energy incredibly fast in loud hectic settings". I'm introverted myself so there's advice that works for me... but I don't have that problem with crowds/loud places. If anything I feel safer and more at ease in loud places, there is less attention and expectations to talk. I know some friends like you and they all hate clubbing/prefer quiet bars whereas I'm the opposite. They believe quieter bars play to their strengths (talking/getting to know people.) …

I think there is confusion because different people use the word "type" in multiple contexts. Referring to a dating trend, example, "most women I've dated wear glasses, semi-conservative attire, and light makeup". Aka a nerd-lite type. In reference to compatibility, "ohhe's a party boy, he's not my type" because of some perceived barrier like socioeconomic, fashion, interests etc. In reference to a physical type, there was a guy on this sub who was looking for jacked women only (super rare on bo…

Haha it's just how I see myself. The same traits easily get interpreted as funny, dgaf vibe, "cool" And I think there are loads of avenues for people to improve appearance. Hair, makeup, exercise, nutrition, skin care, style, clothes... I know a girl who is unrecognizable without makeup and with it on, guys are on her like flies on...

Win over the crowd. Give her special attention. Don't push moves till she's warmed up to you. Gray area is your friend, if she's sad give her a good hug, if she dressed up joke/compliment her, if she sits on you lap lean back and pretend it's the most normal thing that happens. If she's surrounded by a bunch of guys, give her space, she will either seek you out or eye signal you to come over. Even though a bunch of moons circle Jupiter, Jupiter still orbits the sun.

Great info! I have a question though, when you say hi after class, doesn't the instructor or the other attendees notice you chatting it up. Especially as you said, men stick out in yoga. Unless you're also friendly to everyone, which can be a hindrance too.
