From a woman's perspective, if there has to be one then women should be included. You don't get to cherry pick the parts of equality that suit you. I think what you said is very reasonable!

The only way it would be fair is to give men the same amount of time off as well.

If you can't see that feminism has gone way past just wanting rights and equality then I really don't know what to say.

This is a great take to be honest! Feminism has been "going too far" for a very long time, it's not a recent development. The fact that you're right about that link essentially being a microcosm of all the misandry that's out there in the open for all to see is proof of how long this has been going on and how much it's been normalised.

This 100%. Just spend time together and actually be present during that time!

There's a decent percentage of men who end up raising children that aren't theirs. If somehow we were in this position instead of men DNA tests would be mandatory by now. With the way everything is nowadays I really don't see a problem with it.

That's vile 🤮🤮 RIP the potted plant though 😞🫶

Oh you poor soul, nobody should have to clean women's toilets there should be some sort of automated system for it haha.

A lot of women are not nearly as emotionally intelligent as we've been led to believe. They genuinely thought men were "simple creatures" instead of being deep and complex and they just can't handle it. It doesn't help that they're quite narcissistic as well.

It's not a term I've heard before. Is it essentially just thinking about things you have to do?

I feel like it goes under the radar how disgusting a lot of women can be. Anyone who has ever been in women's toilets can attest to that. I'm sorry you experienced a relationship like that but I'm glad you're out of now and you've learnt not to neglect yourself 😊

Because that's implying women can cause trauma to anyone and obviously we can't given how wonderful we are.

Everything is about "the patriarchy" for some people, they obsess over it so much it clouds their judgement. Accountability and critical thinking are severely lacking.

Unfortunately I've seen men stay with women they can't stand because they feel it's better coming home to the wrong person instead of an empty house, which is incredibly sad when you think about it and I'm sure that has a part to play in why some men subscribe to the mindset you mentioned. I'm just glad, for men's sake, more and more are becoming quite content with being single and not needing anyone. I wish more would realise they shouldn't be putting so much time and effort into the wrong wome…

This is the best comment here! It's so easy to see a small part of the internet and think that's how everyone and everything is. The world IS massive and there is a place out there for everyone.

And rightfully so. There's no honour in looking after self obsessed, ungrateful women.

It's funny how men are always told to lower their already lowered standards if they want to find a woman but women are often portrayed as God's gift.... Why would men have to do that to find something that's allegedly wonderful in every way?

I agree, we do.

I know and that is true unfortunately. We need to do better. I hope you're okay 🫶

Some of us do. Some of us have sympathy for men's issues and want to understand them better.

Okay thank you for that, I'll keep it in mind ☺️

This may sound stupid and I know it might be different for different men but are there any specific types of compliments you prefer? Would a compliment about something you've done stick with you longer than a compliment about how you look or a personality trait?

I didn't feel you were unsympathetic, just very honest about it, honesty is needed when discussing things like this. Please don't ever feel ashamed of being a man though, you're not responsible for the way others act.

You're right about pregnancy being more like forced endurance and you're also right about how much an orgasm takes from a man, that's definitely something that gets overlooked when people speak about the contributions. Men sacrifice a lot in many different ways and it's completely unfair that you're not more protected.

We're not lacking any. This person is clueless.

That's just a lazy and hurtful rebuttal that doesn't address or help anything. Do better!

I'm so sorry you've been treated like that. Just know that those people are only cruel because of their own internal issues, you're 10x the person they are ❤️

If a man posted that he'd definitely get called a misogynist and an incel.

I think you're being quite reasonable to be honest. You're well within your right to want to protect the things you've worked hard for. Also, her saying things like "if you loved me...." just sounds incredibly manipulative.

Logically speaking, yes that should be the case but unfortunately logic has no place in society.

You're right about it being belittling towards women. It's essentially infantilising women, which if I'm not mistaken is something feminists love accusing men of doing.

A common misconception is that loneliness is only caused by the absence of people and of course it can be but having people around who don't understand you is also a major cause of it. I think the whole "men are such simple creatures" thing is partly to blame, men aren't simple, men are complex and unfortunately a lot of women don't have the capacity, ability or patience to properly listen to, consider and empathise with men.
/r/MensRights18/02/26 04:42 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
