JBP calls MGTOW pathetic weasels : https://youtu.be/5uTMPwFlf9I JBP regrets it but still doesn't get the point : https://youtu.be/e0cw0Jmhe8s He doesn't get the point of mgtow at all, he's too deep into 'taking responsibility" and can't understand that people would want to avoid this kind of responsibility in order to have more freedom and calmness of mind (to get something positive, not just to crawl under a table and avoid a negative thing). He thinks MGTOW is about retreat when it is really a…

While all these points are valid, one thing you can never get as long as your learning depends on a teacher is autonomy; I've also found that learning things on my own leaves them much clearer in my mind than they were if I learned stuff from being explained every part of it, for obvious reasons.

I feel like college isn't necessary, just buy a book and study it, you'll develop way more skills that way. That's for skills. For the diploma part idk.

Don't run 10km a day straight away, you'll ruin your joints. You need to toughen your tendons and muscles up, fix your posture, get some more range of motion and learn the proper ways to move your body before putting it under thousands of hard impacts.

It's not good to say stuff won't interest you before trying it. You just need to overcome the first barrier of thinking nothing will interest you, and then you'll eventually find something that brings you fun. I had the same problem with purpose. Once you stop rationalizing and you know why you stopped, you get purpose.

The sentence "MGTOW isn't about women" is confusing. I'm not defending slavery to women, and I'm aware of the absurdity of most men's behaviours, I'm staying away as well. I'm saying it's not just women we need to free ourselves from, and on another hand we can't go our own way if we keep making it about women. It's just an effective mechanism to keep away.

"Watch me do exactly what you claimed to be impossible" is also an excellent philosophical item to avoid over-rationalisation.

"Women aren't here to take your shit" nice double meaning to this sentence, lol.
/r/MGTOW19/07/19 06:16 PM

To me MGTOW isn't about women. It's not men going away from women. Going your own way implies removing anything that holds you back, whether it be men or women. The reasons it is often made to be about women are - because they are the biggest obstacle for implementing the philosophy. We are programmed by biology to seek reproductive action, and by society that if we want to fulfil this biological need, we must conform to a certain extent and therefore greatly give up on fulfilling our personal a…

And there is the common "mgtow refuse to go their own way, since they speak about women." Obviously when you make a sub about freeing yourself from some harm, you'll have discussions about the harm. The fact that we speak about it on the sub doesn't mean that we're not going our own way. You don't move on from something that's omnipresent in your life without confronting it. I don't know why they fail to realize this.

I disagree, if the war is imposed on them by the will of other people, which it was back then, they might build endurance and fortitude, but they'll remain enslaved to the expectations of society. Note that some theories say that the crisis of masculinity began after ww1. During WW1, men were forced to go to war only to end up living like rats underground and undergoing inhumane psychological and physical violence. When they came back, they found out that their sacrifice wouldn't be paid back : …

I'm not calling the society that sent them there animalistic. I'm saying sending men to war with no concern for their lives is treating these men as though they were animals. I don't get why the question about animals. Edit had one too many dots at the end

I don't think there is such a thing as a proclivity for kindness or love, there are things that look like it but they're just some rewards to our bodies for occasional growth caused by other people on us. But in that, they aren't selfless, just a strategy to live a better life. The concept of love was created by women to enslave men mentally and get more ressources out of them. Edit : first sentence lacked a word

The fact that our position doesn't allow for optimal chances of survival for our species doesn't necessarily introduce any moral obligations for us to not hold it anymore. Let me explain : Everything is relative, there's no absolute truth; only what we experience matters. Truth and morality are things we feel with the body, and even rationality is based on assumptions that come out of our innate sense of subjective truth. (You can't prove from cause and effect that anything is true because you'l…

Eeh... I couldn't... bear having that handed to me by a supposed figure of authority. Here in france we're still not a deep into these weird opinionated teachings, because, I think, french people are more stubborn and don't take social media outrage that seriously, and most older people (older than 25) don't even use it apart from professional purposes. I'm kinda shocked by this. I've heard these opinions from friends before but, having them taught to you by someone who's actually responsible fo…

They made an analogy to employees in the comments, thinking it played for the woman. I don't see how. If you have an employee who doesn't do their job very well and ends up working for another company while still working at your place, you fire them, and there's no courts there to tell you to keep paying them a salary for 20 years. Like.. yea.
