Understandable mixup. A more recent date recorded somewhere as that's when a goverment decided to finally recognize something that was already existing during that time.

Many things do not suddenly pop into existence because a president happened to decide to finally recognize it. Another example of this, Juneteenth has been celebrated long before that was officially recognized as well. It still predated Men's Mental Health as it has been celebrated on that month for years, even if it took a while until some president decided to recognize it. And, as others have noted, men are part of pride as well.

Whoever is trying to push that idea is wrong. Pride started after stonewall, and has been in June long before Men's Mental Health Month was made- AND whoever wanted Men's Mental Health Month to be in June in the use for some reason could have just as easily made it in November, like it is in the UK. Pride existed since 1920s, and in June after the Stonewall Riots, since 1969. The organized pursuit of LGBTQ rights in the United States reaches back to at least 1924 and the founding of the Society of Human Rights in Chicago by Henry Gerber.
