1	Is it worthwhile trying to date without having a social life first? So having elderly grandparents is causing him to be unable to take any time to explore new activities? Of course there may be a situation that requires his full attention but I kinda doubt that since most of his comments consist of him trying to feel really sorry for himself. Yes, there may be situations where he has to commit his undivided attention to his grandparents but then he also wouldn't have the time to go on dates.
