I totally get what you’re saying and I totally agree; however, you are discounting the fact that someone who wants to be a surgeon or a doctor will not be going into nursing even if the pay is triple. Being a doctor is a prestige, and many won’t give it up for nursing. I’m not CRNA but one of my friends is an ICU nurse. She was in CRNA program a few years ago but dropped out. The program is extremely competitive and hard because CRNAs are in the top pay bracket.
