I was Googling some more, and I came across THIS 3-page PDF. It's pretty interesting reading. The last page has some good advice about objecting to discovery. The PDF is Texas-centric. Not sure what state you're in. But it has some good info that maybe is also true in your state.

Well, maybe it's EXACTLY because they got legally fucked in the ass that their advice is so useful. Ever consider that? I mean, who can better explain rape prevention? A woman who's been raped? Or one who hasn't?

First, it's perfectly normal to object to discovery demands. In fact, HERE is a handy list. But keep in mind, you can't object simply because you don't like the question. The objection must be specific. Example: Plaintiff objects because the identification, photocopying, and production of the requested documents would be oppressively burdensome and costly.
