Yeeeeaaah, no. It’s taught. My brother does Jack and shit and will squirm like a worm on a line. Whereas I can’t remember a time where I’ve lied about something I have or haven’t done (because I am a distinctly shit liar, ‘cause I was raised that fibbing is for lawyers and the fae)

Depends on what branch youre exposed to the most. I think the pendulum effect is definitely a huge player, as well as the general extremist politics rn. Some could argue that feminist subs are like this one, just swapped. I consider myself to be a feminist, because I believe in the true equality of the sexes. Unfortunately, it’s a term that has been well and truly bastardized over the years. Neo, I recommend blocking the accounts that your getting most of that junk from, because it’s really easy…

Ugh this makes me so upset. A good chunk of my favorite teachers were male. Under shit like this, my fav history teacher would probably get out in fuckin double secret probation bc this old US southern white man will sometimes call the girls ‘sweetheart’ or ‘hon’

As somebody whose recent graduated past the need for a dress code, I honestly think it’d be better for it to be split along the gender line so far as calling out students. I say that because from a gals POV, we’ve been told that we’ll be seen as sexual objects basically as soon as we started menstruation. Obviously, that’s not true and is in-fact gross gross gross, but since that’s what’s been drilled into teens girls heads, they’re gonna be freakishly sensitive on any and all comments on their …

That being said, it’s not the fucking pity Olympics, and I’d you can’t acknowledge another’s suffering without trying to down play it, congrats! You suck! I will say though, because I forgot to mention it earlier, it’s not just physical violence that women are afraid of. While it is the sorta last marking, it’s the possibility of triggering a series of events that escalate TO violence. There have been times where I have had to guide friends through exiting relationships (as in friendships or acq…

Yeah no I got nothing for this. Your argument is right, and so I OPs. But is it irrational to believe something that you have always been taught, and has been an enforced idea in every aspect of your life since you were a child? Again, you and OP are right, and it’s not fair to any dudes that out immediate reaction to a guy starting a conversation is to identify the quickest exit and ID your nearest friend and/or witness, but shit man, only so much Xanax can do against cultural beat downs

Social attention and the attitude that is passed down from generation to generation. I’m a naturally nervous person, and on top of that my mother was also the type to swing wildly from latchkey to helicopter parent. Every time I go out in public I try to stay close to walls and away from other people. Unfortunately we seem to be stuck in this shitty cycle where we’re told to be afraid, and then something bad happens, so we tell our children to be afraid, ect ect ect. There’s also the aspect that…

From a woman’s point of view; Incel has really been destroyed by the very radical dudes that for lack of respectable way to put it; suck. It absolutely has been moved to be associated with those people, and is a term primarily used to target and/or create a fallacy to distract from a crappy argument. If you’re gonna be outlawing all gendered insults, then you gotta outlaw ALL gendered insults. That being said OP; uncles are most certainly not harmless and have definitely evolved from the primary…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
