You like your Explorer? I just traded my 2000 Mercury Mountaineer V8 (the Mercury variant of the Explorer) for a Honda Civic. The transmission crapped out; lost the reverse gear. I didn't want to pay for a rebuild or remanufactured transmission so I decided to get a base model Civic. Really all I need is something to get to work and back reliably.

This is just my theory, but I think I know why entitled fat girls are the way they are. You see, fat girls might not be attractive (at least to the general male population. Many of us in the business don't live in the city, and those that do live in the city live in the outer boroughs, like Brooklyn and Queens, at least in the more middle class and working class neighborhoods. Most of us live in the suburbs, be it Long Island, upstate New York, or across the Hudson in New Jersey. In my case I actually live in NJ and take the bus into the city. It's just cheaper to do that than rent an apartment in Manhattan or the gentrified parts of Brooklyn.

Yes and no. What's going here in NYC is union contractors still have a strong hold on the commercial market (office buildings, high rises, etc) and pretty much a monopoly on transit jobs and other high scale jobs, like airports and water treatment plants. We don't have nearly as much work in the residential market because developers want cheaper labor and quick turnarounds so they can sell as high as possible. I know for some people/unions their pensions are in trouble, but for us we're supposedly doing fine. My union is a private union. It's for electricians in private companies. Our pension is funded by a multi-employer plan and according to our union it's 85% funded, which they say is pretty good. The pension is small, but in retirement any money coming in is good. Plus we still have a 401K, SS, and credit union money stowed away (if you chose to start a fund with the credit union).

Already working on this. I'm 22 years old and currently in an apprenticeship; I'm working as an apprentice electrician in NYC. It's a great union job with decent pay for apprentices (and the journeyman's rate is fantastic) and I have health insurance (that I don't plan on sharing with a wife ever). Agreed. I don't want to get married or have kids but if I did, I don't think I could look at "my kid" and truly see it as mine. Plus the burden of it all. Yep. A 40 hour week. The $110/hr refers to our overall package though, so it's our salary+healthcare+pension contribution+401K matching. In terms of salary, just go $56/hr times 40 hours over the course of a year.

Right now the rate for journeymen is $56/hr, and that's not including benefits like healthcare, pension(s), 401K, and an HRA fund. With everything put together, a journeyman makes $110/hr Foreman and supervision make more obviously but I don't know the exact numbers. Edit: forgot to mention this is the union rate. Non-union contractors will have different rates and benefits packages.

That's correct! Local 3; the best and brightest electricians of NYC (no pun intended). You know some day when I get my journeyman's card I want to travel a bit and work in other states/cities. Texas is definitely on one of my places to visit and work in.

There wasn't really a uniformity as far as men's clothes were. Some wore sweatpants and a Rutgers sweatshirt. Some wore a t-shirt and jeans. Some wore flannels and jeans (blue and black). It was basically any X amount of combinations of clothes worn by the male party guests.
