Chad puts loads of effort into getting women off, that’s why they’re egotistical. The low guys I have slept with wanted to be held. It was nice I suppose but it was more about their comfort than my orgasm.

You know there’s this book I read recently and yes, it’s feminist literature. ‘Stop fixing women’. The premise (backed by research) is that it’s always perceived as women’s fault that they have problems - and that that’s unfair bullshit. This seems to fit neatly with what you’re describing here. Women are sleezed onto from an early age (I was 12 when It started) and men really can be incredibly scary. Between rapists, chads and NiceGuys you have to learn very quickly who to trust and it’s not ea…

In my experience as someone who has had sex with men, this simply isn’t true
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 06:17 AM

It’s all fun and games until you get raped. I’d firmly agree that lots of women have a heightened concept that men want to have sex with them. I won’t agree it’s a privilege and I call the victims of rape, domestic abuse and sexual violence as my witnesses.

Isn’t this the ‘personality’ bit that RedPill is so fond of stating women aren’t interested in? When I find men charismatic/charming/funny it’s usually because they have a quirky personality and it’s attractive

I’m sorry I think ‘hypergamy’ is survival of the fittest. Not intrinsically evil.

Is there something intrinsically wrong with being hypergamous? Please bear in mind that women are punished if they hook up with a guy and it’s doesn’t work out. See: single mums, slut shaming, “the wall”

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.abc.net.au/article/10551740 Aight guys here’s the ABC story. So it looks like it was true and the poor bugger was locked up BUT why the heck did he follow her? Weird. It’s reasonable that you’d have people in custody when you’re trying to figure out what’s going on. Two weeks is excessive.

If all you wanted to do was impress men you could shorten your beauty routine to 1/10th it's current time. Oh, my sweet summer child. If you would like to do some further reading please google literature regarding ‘the male gaze’. Also it’s midnight here so I’m off to bed goodnight

No, we say society because it’s men and women. RedPill bangs on about high quality women - they mean thin, symmetrical faces, toned women with clear skin, natty brows and pouting lips. Don’t worry, I’d love women to all give up and grow their armpit hair but then they wouldn’t get rated as highly on OkCupid would they?

This headline is fucking awful. Can we get the full story? The daily mail in australia is considered absolute trash. I do not read it on principal because it is clickbait, a bad quality publication. Thus I’m skeptical of the content of the story and I don’t trust just the headline.

Can we compromise on the concept that lots of women bend to the pressure to look a certain way and lots of men don’t?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/21 09:07 AM

Ahahah this definitely has some truth in it - ie women consistently think ‘average men’ are ‘below average’. However it also misses the pressure women are put under to be physically attractive, constantly. Botox, exercise, beauty products, clothes are all aggressively marketed to women and I jest you not, there is social pressure from childhood to look a certain way. Women ARE hotter because society expects them to constantly look like film stars. Men, as discussed previously, just have expectat…

I'm in Australia (I'm in Western Australia which has famous brothels) and I think that's a huge claim. Rape is a criminal offence and the only reason it would go undetected is negligent brothels or police. This doesn't argue the case, this builds the case for a better regulated, decriminalised industry. Are your friends backpackers doing rural work? I know there have been problems with that and it's an entirely different issue.

A guy slid into my DM’s asking for sex. I asked him why he wouldn’t go to ‘a professional’. He was like ‘a sex worker? Not my style. I figure normal people can come to arrangements’. I told him sex workers are normal people and removed him from my followers. 🚮 The nerve. What a disrespectful way to talk about the oldest profession in the world.

Neither. Alpha/Beta is dumb. I'd rather have a kid with my gay friend - and we're discussed it, for a few years' time. I have long come to the conclusion that the competitive dating game is exhausting and not conjunctive with raising healthy kids. My gay friend is handsome, high achieving and has his shit together. He'd make a great dad so if I haven't found someone by 35 I'll sperm donor with him. The 'beta bucks' in this case will be my dad. He's comfortably retired and would love to bankroll …

What???????? I'm a woman and I support prostitution, largely out of self interest. I'm in australia and I keep forgetting it's frowned upon (even illegal?) in other countries but I 100% agree that decriminalising prostitution is an excellent way to regulate and thus improve the industry. Let working women work safely, for a fair wage and with autonomy, I say! Pimps are the real problem. I support prostitution because I see it as a very important alternative to date rape. I know I’ve returned to this three times but this was actually the topic of a fierce discussion on one of the feminist reddit blogs. I’ll see if I can hunt it down but it was basically ‘what shits you about people’s understandings of feminism’ and I responded with ‘strong female character =/= feminist’ and it went OFF. So the feminists are aware 👍🏽

Thank you for your textured response! I tend to think that the real problem is cultism. I identify as a feminist for sure but there’s no doubt some paradoxes and/or dilemmas and/contractions and/or examples of unethical behaviour by women that muddy the water. I really think the first step of feminism is acknowledging that it’s not clean cut, but more about figuring out fair ways of navigating the world when people’s rights are balanced...

It’s a shame this guy feels the need to play games, though. You could put me in the category of ‘bitter crone’ if you must but there’s no really good way to navigate attraction. I suppose, yeah, I’ll agree. I definitely know women like that. And I don’t agree that it’s appropriate dating behaviour and it irritates me no end to get tarred with the same brush. Eye rolls both ways. Come on people, level up. Let’s start out with ‘are we compatible’ first. I’m not having babies with some rando so let’s start with the bit where we get to know each other. 31f. My dating options have definitely diminished but it’s more to do with men who drink this kool aid than me ‘riding the cock carousel’. I had a boyfriend 21-23, a dysfunctional relationship 26-28 and that’s it. Dating has sucked since then. Men who go ‘oh you just want babies and my money’ is like the biggest eye roll ever. Get a grip mate, I have my own money. But then I’m ‘old’ now so 🤷🏼‍♀️

No, but maybe ‘after a certain age’ is the key. We all know of successful couples with big age gaps and I really don’t see an issue with that. I guess (this dives into the old anecdotal evidence again) that when you date someone with a big age gap, you run the risk that they’ll change. I.e. 23 year old women grow up. My old housemate had a 9 year gap with his ex and their breakup was a slow motion train wreck. They got together at 23/32 and by the time it was 26/35 they basically didn’t sleep to…

I think be realistic about what you can offer a relationship and go for women who will value that appropriately. I don’t think the question and the explanation match. To ‘not impose gender roles’ is what I’d say many women want. But then the description is a lot about you and what you do and do not want from a partnership. It’s good that you know your boundaries and dealbreakers, though. I’d say turn it around and think about what you can offer. You’ve said part time child care - so go for a har…

No, I don’t think that’s intrinsically evil (assuming it’s all legal and consensual as specified by OP). Anyway, society is a construct and who cares what the construct thinks. I just think they’re setting themselves up to fail and be very, very confused.

Is it singled out? Hey, if that’s your vibe then you do you! Honestly I just feel pity for the guys I know who routinely hit on younger women. Because it gets delusional. I know a few guys who go for women much younger than them and it always seems to fall apart. The get rejected again and again and again. Or they actually do date and it’s an unhappy, dysfunctional relationship because he’s dating someone who is still working out their emotions and the two are not in the same page. Meanwhile the…

You know that’s what I like about purple pill and not the feminist forum. It is too much of a circle jerk and sometimes you read stuff when you’re like ‘ah okay? that’s just strange’. When you feel like you can’t make jokes it’s a bit of a problem. Or people are creating an issue when there isn’t one. Or when people deal in absolutes. I imagine (I hope?) how a lot of men on this sub feel about red pill.

Sorry I’m Australian and we have a whole vocabulary that gets lost on reddit sometimes. I meant, ‘I could revert that comment back to you,’ with regards to what you were saying about your experience with feminism. I was thinking ‘that sounds like a form of abuse’ but I also didn’t really want to dredge that sort of thing up. Basically when you pointed out that there’s a lot more to my story I was thinking ‘yup, but it sounds like there’s more to yours too’

the feminist framework fucked my masculine identity big time and i needed 10 years of intensive self reflexion to figure that even out, not even to solve it. when the simple existence of male sexuality is shamed That doesn’t sound like a very nice version of feminism. Thanks camp councillor. Obviously the common problem is me! Do we all have it figured out at 31? Is that me overestimating my ‘value’ or is that me navigating my life?

Single at 31 over here and it had nothing to do with ‘I’m too good for you’ with a bunch of dudes. More ‘I want to move to this city and you want to move to that city’/this relationship is a shitshow/oh damn so is this one’. Like at what point are we allowed to say that relationships can collapse for reasons that have nothing to do with ‘value.’
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 12:47 PM

I respectfully disagree. I think men raised by feminists see women in an entirely different light. Strong women are normalised and they hit the ground running when they get served crap from the women they date. The men I know who I’d label ‘incels’ are men who have actually very traditional, stay at home mums who cook and clean for them and then these men can’t wrap their brains around women they date who won’t do that. The most vivid example I know - his mother died slowly from debilitating can…

Are our standards too high? They damn well ought to be. A relationship needs to be strong and built to last. Loved reading this. Good for you. I’ve also sort of given up on dating although I don’t identify with any ‘tier’ and I don’t have sex with anyone. Men haven’t made me happy romantically so I tend to stick firmly to friendships because there’s far less pressure.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 08:54 AM

Well yeah we all hate the idea of low and high ‘tier’ people - it’s fundamentally shitty. Not to mention that different people see value in different things. But the concept is also an underlying premise of the whole pill discussion so if you can’t rationalise it this might be the wrong sub for you. I see the value of this sub in navigating the murky waters of this weird power economy but there’s plenty of dumb shit on it.

One of the best decisions I made in recent history was to decide that if I don’t find a partner by 34 I’m IVFing this shit. It’s about $10,000 in Australia and I’m financially good to go. It has completely changed my whole approach to dating and I’m a better person for it. Guy treats me like shit? 🚮 Guy doesn’t make me happy? 🚮 Guy is friendly and interesting, seems keen and makes me laugh? Well come on over, buddy, let’s cook up a storm and sink a bottle of red.

I like generalisation. I think society works best when it assumes men can get sex, although it might mean they pay for it and women have the right to reproduce, although they might need to go it alone and have IVF (I.e. pay for it). That’s okay? It’s not the preferred option but it’s better than no option? I think the problems arise when people feel entitled to put caveats on this thing. Entitled to have sex WITH HER or kids WITH HIM. Nope. Ya don’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/20 04:50 AM

(F) - I don’t agree with everything here but I think the crux is accurate. Men want to know ‘how can I be sexy to you’, women hear ‘how can I be a better partner to you’. Not quite the same thing. If you’re attracted to someone (or not) isn’t rocket science and it’s difficult to engineer.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/20 04:30 AM
1

I think that’s a very unsophisticated mentality. Might be true for young women but by the time you’re 25+ and had a few cracks at a relationship you realise you have to communicate. No one should be expected to ‘just get it’ and mature women (or men) will recognise that.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/20 04:26 AM

Despite all that women refuse to play the part of equals or take initiative in the dating game. So more and more men drop out of the game altogether and play video games or whatever instead. You know I read this and instead of arcing up and getting all debate-y I just feel so tired. I know I put in effort for dating and I usually feel it ends up a shambles. No one seems to make an effort anymore. I’m not interested in arseholes. It would be nice to meet a good dude.

I guess I’ll loosely agree that women don’t ‘give a fuck’ about work and just want results but only to the same degree that men don’t give a fuck about the work that goes into women’s beauty regime and expect results.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/20 10:17 AM

Sure! On the flip side, guys don’t appreciate how much effort women go to with make up etc. It takes hours and money to perfect that ‘oh I woke up like this’ look. I am the least well groomed of my female friendship group and I still spend hours shaving, plucking, lasering, running, tanning, exfoliating etc. plus decent beauty products are $$$$$ So I still disagree with your initial statement, soz.

apparently not! I don't understand how women don't value hard work? I suppose I didn't explain myself well, but if you're insinuating that women don't have an incentive to work hard then I deeply disagree. Women work damn hard, in a career and/or as a parent. Results only ever come from hard work.

okay, example time. *flex* Let's say that (in humans) being tall is considered sexy. Along very very strict biological lines. Then lets say the environment changes and in comes World War 1. Suddenly, being tall means you are more likely to have your head shot off as it sticks over the parapet of a trench. Suddenly, being tall is NOT an advantage. You do not survive, you do not breed. Another more technical example: The ol' sickle cell anaemia. Sickle cell is a blood condition which, in homozygou…

I should hope that that’s the point of ‘go lift’. Men lifting purely for validation from women is... problematic. Men lifting for themselves is wonderful! If women are attracted to that and it results in (consensual) sex than I am delighted 💕

Dealbreaker now. So argument 2. It’s a dealbreaker for me after the event. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, never again. But the writing was on the wall from the beginning and I think I naively thought things would get better. I would have saved myself a lot of grief if I’d been firmer on this particular issue at age 25.

This is not a debate. Read Matt Ridley’s 2003 text ‘nature via nurture’ which unpacks it in detail and demonstrates that the two are interlinked. That is, people have tendencies set by genes and will work to excel and demonstrate their nature based on these tendencies. That doesn’t mean things are ‘fixed’, but it does mean that people are ‘likely’ to end up in a certain way (heritability). For instance - someone very tall (nature) might be very insecure about height (nurture), so they hunch. Thi…

This is the view I most align with. I’m genuinely surprised and a quite disappointed that there’s such widespread homophobia. I know some women who would struggle with that but they are generally quite straight laced/conservative anyway. So I’d expect that crap from them because they have a certain way of viewing the world, but I’ve always considered that niche. OP - That sucks, I’m sorry.

No. ... but I think there is a strong need to revolutionise positive masculinity in modern society. The very fact that you refer to ‘girls’ and ‘boys’ is concerning. Hear me out. Women’s activism has come a loooooong way since the suffragettes got the vote. I dispute that it’s at the expense of men, although I know that is the basis of MGTOW. You know I’m going to come back to this after a good nights’ sleep and reflect that even though I think that ‘men have gotten shitter’ is a bit loose, I definitely think a lot of men have embraced the realisation that they don’t HAVE to get married and have 2.6 kids and live in suburbia. I don’t want that exact existence either, but I have travelled a lot and I’d rather do short trips now. I definitely want kids and that will need both stability and commitment. Men run for miles from that. So me…

Your only criteria is that she’s physically attractive and you’re interested in the price you have to pay to marry her. In that sense, it’s analogous to propositioning a sex worker. Yup. I think the subtext here that you’re missing is that the healthiest way to approach marriage is to look for a win-win. If you don’t want to employ a sex worker, it’s probably because you want to feel that you’d like to be appreciated and value for you - not for the money you’re passing over. Women are exactly th…

That graph is interesting but it doesn’t prove shit about women’s choices or the effects of online dating. The GFC happened in 2009 so perhaps the change is because women were driven to sex working to pay their bills and most men couldn’t afford it. Like that’s a plausible theory, right? Even if online dating did spike in 2008, correlation doesn’t demonstrate causation and you are not. being. scientific.

I need to see your source so I can evaluate your reasoning. Okay. According to your source, women’s sexlessness has also increased. So that just means no one is having as much sex as they did in 2008. Sure, women are having relatively more, but this has no bearing on the discussion. The discussion is that whether men are partially responsible because they flood women with options. So, you’ve given me a graph that demonstrates that Americans are having less sex and tried to say women need to chan…

... frankly, being in a girls school and the media’s portrayal of attractive women probably had a lot to do with the ol’ disordered eating. Can’t blame men for that one. I wasn’t technically anorexic but I was a neurotic eater. I had all these rules: no carbs after 4, no junk food, no soft drink. I’d have a yoghurt for lunch. One. Une. Ein. The interaction I had with men (not including family) were all outside of school and often men sexualised me. Like on weekends or at my cafe job or whatever.…

You are a good dude! Fist bump! I detest the idea that women hit their prime 18-25. It makes me ill. For reasons that I think would surprise a lot men. For starters, I’m objectively attractive. Whatever. This doesn’t mean I ‘won’. The first time I was sexualised I was twelve. TWELVE. Legally a child. I don’t think the guys had any idea I was that young but I wasn’t thinking about sex, I was thinking about how scary high school was going to be. So by the time I was 18 I had an eating disorder and…

I completely agree with this point of view and I wish you luck in your journey! I guess incels and redpill and MGTOW and even niceguys share elements. Incels have accepted a sexless fate but red pillers will use all means necessary to get sex. Ie. rape. By the same token, I do not automatically assume that women are damsels in distress. I’ve always felt the same way but with regards to women’s physical attributes. Like men tend to want young, beautiful women even if they’re not young or beautiful themselves. Fuck that noise, I’m happy with feminism disrupting that. Women in the workforce doesn’t raise the bar for men, women in the workforce opens men to the option of being a stay at home dad. I’d rather be financially independent and not rely on my partner’s income as long as I’m physically attracted to him. I’ve lived that cho…

Mate got enough for a couple of wives there. I guess the thing that confuses me about redpill in general is the pervasive assumption that women want to squeeze men for their money, but if they don’t, they’re horribly independent. If a dude is rich - great! - but it’s not going to trump being a decent person. I don’t see men as ATMs. I personally can afford my life as is with a bit more for a family and I’d hope my partner can do the same.

Type of work doesn’t matter to me unless you’re doing something illegal or deeply unethical. It complicates things if you work away or doing strange hours but I’d hope that a mature couple can manage that. 21 has huge earning potential! You still have so much ahead of you! I wouldn’t stress, you sound like I was when I was 21. Are you looking for a wife though?? I would think a 21 year old shouldn’t be thinking seriously about marriage. Absolutely not. In fact, it can be gross (e.g. white knights who think they can 'fix' you and then you owe them something - fuck off). I’m a woman. I’ll more it less agree with this. I have been told countless times to stop going to for jerks but my prick-o-metre is terrible. Realistically, I go for men who pursue me (self confident) and while they’re not dramatically handsome, they take care of themselves and dress well (well groomed or vain?)
