In mass, as in there were some women in the workforce prior to the 70s but when most women entered the workforce for the first time it was in the 70s. The highest enrloment at once, idk a better word to describe it.

Biology doesn't work that way. If a man lived in an extremely altruistic society, he'd be more geared towards kindness than any women from a selfish society. Same for vice versa.

This nothing to with empowering or pitying him, the fact that you see it that way says something. The man went through a traumatic event, he doesn't need to be be told to feel empowered, he needs support if he needs it, that's not pity, far from it, pity is feeling sorry, not actively helping, he needs help from a psychologist if he has trouble dealing with it, he needs support from his friends, by where they treat him as a normal person, but are willing to offer emotional support if needed.
