Do you think there is long term psychological damage from break up of long term relationships? It depends on how long the relationship was, but if it lasted about a year or more, I get pretty broken up. I don't fall easily, but I do fall hard. I envy the people who say they moved on in a month or less. Even having a job I like, great support, awesome hobbies/physical activities I liked, I still lost my appetite for a good 6 months after finding out a guy was cheating on me. I tend to be a fairly sensitive person overall though, so I think how you handle it has more to do with disposition … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/02/16 11:57 PM
Curious on what red pillers think about this post. Does this accurately represent your community?Maybe, but I don't consider them real feminists. It should be "women having the same rights as men" and not "women having better rights than men." | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/12/15 09:56 PM
Curious on what red pillers think about this post. Does this accurately represent your community?I agree. I'm a woman and I consider myself a feminist, and while a woman should never be forced to have a child she doesn't want, nor should a man have to pay for a child he doesn't want. The system is fucked. It's not equality. Ideally, a woman shouldn't have to be coerced into getting an abortion, but rather a man should be able to opt out of supporting the child financially. Maybe there should be a stipulation that he can only do this when the baby is a newborn, and not, say, halfway through … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/12/15 11:03 AM
X-Post /r/TheBluePill: My story from normal person, to TRP fanatic, to Red Piller “victim”, and back againThis was a good and interesting read. I think what happened was, as you said yourself, you wanted to "tame the alpha," at the expense of overlooking guys you would have been happier with. He was attractive, and you wanted a challenge, basically. And when the challenge presented itself, you failed, but in the process you realized that the overly alpha, player type doesn't really do it for you anyway. Don't feel too bad or be too hard on yourself - you learned something. You walked away pretty qui… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/11/15 01:01 AM
Relapsing into TRP. Interested in being pulled to either side.I don't necessarily disagree with you on a lot of that, I just think that there is a way to have a healthy relationship where sexual attraction is maintained, but both parties are still able to show their emotional sides without fear of putting the other person off. I experience it personally, and I know I can't be the only one. I'm not saying that I would want constant emotional vomit all the time - you're right that that would become unattractive. But I do think that sharing "the feels" when t… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/11/15 03:52 AM
Relapsing into TRP. Interested in being pulled to either side.Again, I can only speak for myself, but that hasn't been my experience at all. I don't find sexual attraction and emotional security to be mutually exclusive. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/11/15 12:24 AM
Relapsing into TRP. Interested in being pulled to either side. You're right that women love confidence and dominance, but like others have mentioned, too much of it to the point of being devoid of emotions is just as bad as the overly supplicating, stereotypical "beta" type of guy. Sure, it might get you laid, and it might even get you into a relationship with an emotionally immature, needy woman, but it seems like you want more than that. The Red Pill often mocks people of both genders for having feelings ("feeeeelings"), and derides women for making decis… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 10/11/15 08:09 AM
Post a picture of what you consider to be an "average" and "hot" person of the gender you are attracted to.Inspired by the Natalie Dormer debate here, I'm going to use Game of Throne guys for my examples. Hot 1, 2, 3, 4 Average 1, 2, 3, 4 I purpose left out Joffrey because he just looks too young for me to judge if he's attractive or not. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/10/15 03:45 AM
Post a picture of what you consider to be an "average" and "hot" person of the gender you are attracted to.Just have to say, that video is a mindfuck! And at first I thought that was Jimmy Fallon at the beginning of it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/10/15 02:14 AM
CMV: Obtaining a bride from a poor family is a good thingThis kind of goes against the "everybody benefits" argument you made, since without very much social contact, support, or hobbies outside the home, she would likely be miserable, even to the point where she feels worse off than she did in her third-world home country. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/10/15 09:46 PM
"You don't know what feminism is"I guess I always thought that feminism, in its true definition, really does mean equality and support for both sexes. There are different schools of thought, but to me, feminism always meant "you don't have to be a housewife, you don't have to have kids, unless of course you want to, in which case you should." And same for guys...it's a way of rejecting the whole "man up" and "don't ever show emotion" schools of thought, or the idea that guys can't be nurses or stay-at-home dads, and on and on. … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/07/15 10:35 PM
BP Men: Would you date a woman that weighed more than you? BP Women: Would you date a man that was shorter than you?I'm attracted to tall guys, and a guy would have to be under 5'4" to be shorter than me. As much as I hate myself for it, because there are a lot of lovely short dudes out there, I just don't find myself attracted to them. That being said, I hate when women "short shame" guys just as much as I hate when men "fat shame" women. If you don't like it, keep it to yourself. Weight doesn't really bother me though, if that counts for anything, because I've dated guys who were tall but overweight. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/07/15 09:58 PM
[CMV] - 'lol virgin neckbeard' and other such insults are just new socially acceptable ways of bullying socially-awkward nerdy guys and other such unattractive beta males, coming full circle in enforcing gender roles.I agree...when I want to define the term, I think of a "neckbeard" as a crappy attitude coupled with a sloppy appearance, and general lack of good hygiene. I've met plenty of (sometimes overweight) guys with beards who were perfectly nice, and I think they're great people. It's the holier-than-thou attitude that I mentally shame. I don't think people should be shamed simply for being virgins, or for being fat. It's just that when people act like they're better than everyone else, when they thems… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/06/15 07:34 AM
Blue Pill Women, would you identify as the exact opposite of AWALT, as defined by The Red Pill?Oh I'm not denying that it's AWALT, and never meant to say that I wasn't in some ways. This is why I consider myself purple, rather than blue...I recognize that TRP does have a lot of valid points. I just don't agree with all of them. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/05/15 11:21 PM
Blue Pill Women, would you identify as the exact opposite of AWALT, as defined by The Red Pill? That is a great attitude to have. Guys of whatever pill seem to respect women more if they show restraint when it comes to being promiscuous, and I think that goes the other direction too. Some women love the pre-selected players, I won't deny that, but I think what's more attractive is a guy who probably could be a player if he wanted to be, but instead chooses to be more picky about who he sleeps with. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/05/15 06:53 AM
Blue Pill Women, would you identify as the exact opposite of AWALT, as defined by The Red Pill? That was never my cup of tea, but I agree with you that that's true for a lot of women...I think it's the case for a lot of guys as well though. I've seen a lot of instances where a guy will say he's been around the block and wants to settle down, or of younger guys breaking girls' hearts because sheer curiosity about what's out there made it so they couldn't be satisfied with one woman. But that's not to say that women don't do the same thing too. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/05/15 03:19 AM
Blue Pill Women, would you identify as the exact opposite of AWALT, as defined by The Red Pill?My SO tears up a lot too, be it at personal things in his life or something emotional on TV/a movie. So I definitely don't buy into the whole "women get turned off by displays of male emotion" school of thought. Like you say though, it depends a lot on what it is he's getting emotional about in the first place. I can't imagine you were able to keep a straight face at the guy crying over Dairy Queen, lol. Seeing my SO tear up at something either very sad or deeply moving doesn't repel me at all t… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/05/15 02:18 AM
Blue Pill Women, would you identify as the exact opposite of AWALT, as defined by The Red Pill? The funny thing is though, because I don't care about any of that, or because I've been willing to tough it out with a guy going through a hard or emotional time, I've been accused of simply having "low standards". And if not that then I've been told I simply 'must not be able to attract high quality mates'. Alternatively, I've also been accused of purposely "dating down" so I'm not threatened or don't have to worry about them leaving or am looking for betas to manipulate. And I'm not the only w… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/05/15 01:09 AM
Women less attracted to happy, smiling men -- most satisfied with men 8 inches tallerI do like tall guys, but I initially am attracted to guys that smile and laugh a lot, and see the humor in things. Don't get me wrong, that brooding attitude is sexy and I like a little of that thrown into the mix. But a great smile is one of the sexiest features a guy can have. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/04/15 11:44 PM
How accurate is this adage at describing a difference in sexuality for men and women?Recently, my boyfriend lost his sex drive for about a month when things got stressful. It was like everything was going wrong at once. I was stressed out for him, so I couldn't get in the mood either - we talked about it and were both glad that we at least were on the same page and no one was feeling resentful or rejected. Things got better and our sex life went back to normal again, but at the time I think we both just felt like we wouldn't be able to enjoy sex if we tried. I've found that most… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/02/15 12:37 AM
Apparently I do not exist, and neither do the vast majority of women I know. That's weird.I can only speak for myself, but I'm very sexually attracted to my long term boyfriend who, while I wouldn't call him a supplicating beta, is very sweet and attentive towards me. I can't be the only one. I admit that too much pedestalization would get boring, but too much dominance all the time would be draining. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/02/15 06:49 AM
CMV: TRP mods and RPW mods have every right to ban BP men and women. That's completely understandable. I guess I'm pretty conflicted. Sometimes I'll read something on TRP that makes total sense, but then I'll see something completely different that I strongly disagree with and laugh along with the rest of TBP when they mock it. It's why I don't comment on those subs very often - I don't want to seem like I'm contradicting myself too much, to either party. I also don't want, like you said, to have the appearance of agreeing to someone's face and then talking trash… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 07/01/15 01:14 AM
CMV: TRP mods and RPW mods have every right to ban BP men and women. For me, whether I was upset or not would depend on why I was banned. I don't comment very often, but I hate to think that my comment/post history would be a reason why someone would ban me. I think both sides of the debate have valid points, and while I don't agree with everything red, that doesn't mean I'm completely against it. In other words, let's say that I make some comments on TRP that are in line with the red way of life. But prior to that, I made some comments on TBP discussing things I… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/01/15 10:37 PM
Sluts & Studs: Why Promiscuity is Acceptable for Men and Not WomenI can't speak for all women, but I get a little turned off if a guy's number is too ridiculously high. That generic, any-chick-will-do type of desire can be off-putting, and being selective is sexy in my opinion. I imagine guys must feel this way about women with high counts too. | /r/TheRedPill | 06/01/15 05:10 AM
Importance of looks for men: video experimentI saw these videos the other day, and the first thought I had with the guy version was "obvious fat suit is obvious." The padding looked really awkward, nothing at all like how overweight people usually carry their weight. It looked like stuffing. In the woman's version, she remained seated the entire time (with a table in front of her), but the man was sitting on a bench and stood up to hug the women, and most women would be able to tell the difference between padding and actual flesh at that p… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/10/14 02:32 AM
