No other family apart from him? Suspect she is a single mother who divorced the father and then bad-mouthed the father to the son. Son made contact with father when he was older and found that it was really the mother who was the problem and that the mother had prevented parental access.

Many many years ago, a friend of my late mother needed an operation. This woman was huge (to be fair, I think it might have been genetic because the Dr said it was easily the biggest baby he had delivered. Anyway, the surgeon said to her (this is many years ago, he wouldn't dare say it now): "Mrs P: I won't be operating, I'll be excavating!"

As a Christian, one thing I notice about Christian girls is this 'Jesus is my boyfriend attitude'. To them He seems there to provide for all their wants and needs, rather than to be worshipped. Also, they continually call each other 'amazing' when this is totally unwarranted. For example, a single mother will be called 'amazing' just because she copes with bringing up some bastard child on her own (with the help of the state) - rather than being called out for being the adulteress that she is...…

I had a shock when I met a Christian girl (a fundamentalist type at that) who friend-zoned me but slept with the bad boys of this social group we both belong to. She got hurt when they finished with her (and used me as an emotional tampon) but what amazed me about her behaviour was that she admitted it had harmed her but said "but I'm not a sinner or anything". I was just dumbstruck (none of us can say that about ourselves....)

Something is not quite right about the poses of the bride/groom. He is leaning towards her but she is leaning away, as though she doesn't really fancy him but is forced to marry him; actually, she looks pregnant to me. Two and a half days to get from middle of England to the South coast of France (about 1,000 miles). Now meandering along the coast. The women here are mostly amazingly slim - even in their seventies. If you see a landwhale, it's probably British or American!

The Daily Mail has a large proportion of female readers, many not very intelligent. A lot of Christian women use the quote God said, "it is not good for man to be alone". I had a lightbulb moment recently when I realised that this was before The Fall. So this verse may no longer be true. Woman's rebellious spririt means that it is BETTER that man remains alone.
