Maybe there is a compromise? Like a cute tea/coffee/chocolate house you can go to in the evening? There is a difference between grabbing coffee from a busy street spot and sitting at a table in a cosy place.

Why everyone is saying that decline in population is a bad thing? The quality of life is what matters! Why do you want more people to fight for resources? Have you tried to pack into a full train and have to ride 1h standing breathing into some dudes chest? Have you ever spent 5h in a traffic jam? There are plenty of people in big cities. The developed countries tend to have less children. The only danger is presented by underdeveloped countries where the quality of life is poor and human life c…

I would never agree to be SAH as I prefer having my own income sources. But I don’t think even 50/50 is fair to SAH, because how the partner who spent last 15-20 years out of the workforce is supposed to generate a living going forward? Of course I’m not taking about divorcing millionaires with passive investments.

Yep, we believe you look better than ALL these other girls in the gym. And that you are also “not like other girls!”. And it doesn’t sound like you judge people, not at all. Some women just enjoy looking at themselves being dressed “hot” in gym. It motivates. That’s all.

I’m just wondering if the girls you are approaching are taller than you? Obviously, people could date anyone yata yata, but here you are, asking for an advice. I met two friends via a hobby of mine and they are both relatively short but good looking and lovely people. A year later, this guy and this girl are dating and going very strong.

This is more of a general statement “people change” and shows immaturity. Yes, people grow. But they rarely change who they are as a person, especially not suddenly. But habits, music taste, food preferences etc etc of course changes.

Agreed. There should be a fair system in place protecting both parties. One way is to marry people of similar income and social status so both are on equal footing. Another way is to sign ironclad prenuptial agreements.

People don’t normally change that much (unless after some big impact events). If you are caught by surprise by changes in your partner, it just means that you ignored all the red flags in the beginning. For example a girl could have a relatively good job earning a relatively good income while secretly wishing to be a SAHM. So if you ignore her character traits and early slips as to how much she wish to not work one day etc. you may get blindsided that after marriage she tells you: “it’s all on y…

It’s like a post from Amy Farrah Fowler... Impressive. Hey OP you need to: a) work on your self esteem, u are brilliant but obsess about people and/or idea of being in a relationship b) give back about the same energy he gives you Watch a few older videos by Matthew Hussey, his old stuff is fantastic.

This is not true or you are looking at a very specific type of women. If you have a hobby (for example, martial arts, dancing, kite surfing etc) you meet people while doing this hobby, and you appreciate them for their skills, appearance, confidence, charisma etc. You don’t ask them “hey, how much you make?” before catching feelings. If you sit at home and browse tinder and get a few bad dates and lots of swipes then I see how your perception could be affected.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems that people in general are attracted to healthy and fit people with some “drive” (goals, motivations, ambitious, similar hobbies and interests). Are you saying there are few successful men in 20sh-30sh bracket? Or that there are few good looking women in 30sh-40sh bracket? If so, you need to change the circles you are in. Also “successful” is a very broad concept. A healthy and motivated person with good qualities and moderate income is preferable every hour…

And exactly because of this dynamic, the society is moving towards giving equal educational and career opportunities to both men and women. If younger women could afford nice cars, nice places etc themselves (or with their families help), they would be less desperate for a guy who could shower them with gifts as his main attractive quality.

Well OP, Tomb Raider is very popular among women not only because the costume is sexy and they need men’s attention. Tomb Raider was an epic game series about adventures and exploring, she is essentially an athlete and adventure junkie. In my opinion only really fit girls are able to cosplay her well. Many of them could do handstands, interesting poses etc. So, even if the girl looks hot in these boots and shorts, she may dress like this because she wants to feel BADASS. I’m concerned that some …

Replace “game” for the “ritual”. Typically people understand what’s the implication is. To meet other people and to select the most compatible partner.

And it’s higher risk for women in general, it appears that there are much more young guys looking for a casual fling, as compared to young women.

I believe that both men and women (majority) ENJOY participating in this game, ie going on dates wherein a woman tries to look fabulous and a man tries to impress. When both people understand it’s just a social game, it’s fun. The problem is that some ppl (any gender) are inherently spoiled and entitled. They don’t see it as a dating game, they are out there to abuse and manipulate people.

Why are you saying it like it’s something bad? I post my wow screenshots on social media as well, so?

Yes, I got a weird vibe. OP seems to be very defensive for some reason. I obviously used a made up example (any country could be used) but it’s immediately “humble-bragging” “my friends been there” (in a country I randomly used as an example? Good for them! Why would they laugh at someone else travelling there?... so many questions lol).
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/20 02:43 AM

I agree, yeah, there definitely is leisure travelling) Regarding social media - why photos on the boat are worse than say photos from your backyard? Your friends farm? Your uni courtyard? I guess people of either gender post pictures they look good in. Not only this, but it make sense to project a certain image: relaxed; adventurous etc. Maybe they want to show off their body in a socially acceptable way (photos from the beach). I’m not sure what’s wrong with this.

This simply shows some odd preferences and “elitism”. Morocco is “less cool” than Pripyat. Well ok... it’s simply your preference
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/20 11:36 PM

This is simply untrue. I can only talk for myself and people I know but travelling has been amazing. You usually travel during holiday/leave and can enjoy yourself. Horse riding sunset trips, climbing many stairs to see the sunrise at Nepal’s mountain - we have done this because it was enjoyable not because it would “read good on social media” :)
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/20 11:00 PM
2

That’s a very arbitrary definition:) No, travel mean different things for different people. How do you know if she only went to a major attraction or spent some time doing her own exploring with a lonely planet guide in her hand? You need to talk to her to find out. Also, what’s wrong with seeing the major attraction? They are famous for a reason. The only real downside if that they are usually super crowded which destroys the atmosphere. I wonder how you call people flying to Egypt to see museu…

Well, I’m not from America. I have been to a number of different countries - I would probably call it a hobby? A family tradition to go overseas at least once per year?... i went during uni breaks for example. I do mention this when I meet new people because I found that even if you have nothing else in common, travelling is one of the few universal things people generally enjoy talking about. Say we meet in a restaurant for dinner. I could tell you about my adventures in Morocco and local food …

They also post horrible things with comments like “ALL men are deprived”. I tried to argue that not ALL men are bad and they banned me. It’s a toxic community in a sense they promote a “safe space” I.e. there are two ways to think: wrong or FDS.

Sorry, I didn’t get it, did he expected to have sex without being her boyfriend?... I mean I’m not shaming women who enjoy casual sex if this what rocks their boat. As long as they love it and are not hurt. But I would be just confused by a guy who would assume it’s okay to have sex before we are officially and exclusively dating (if we theoretically are both looking for a long term relationships).

Actually yes as I seen and participated in a post recently about a woman in a long term relationships hitting a guy during an argument and all top replies were “dump her immediately”. Also, there was a story re woman throwing her (her!) laptop or something on the floor in frustration and all top replies were “dump this crazy bitch now!”

This is so true! Great post. I was dating an older guy when I was 25 and he was 50, for 3 years. Abuse started very slowly, and his mom was always gaslighting me but pretended she was on my side. Uggh.. it was a good lesson, at least. But thinking we only have limited time in life, how many “long term” relationships could we form? Maybe 3-5. Women should stop wasting their years away on low quality relationships.

I’m not saying not agreeing is bad:) Discussing different viewpoints or clarifying you position is fun. I’m just saying downvoting a neutral comment doesn’t inspire you to keep engaging into similar threads. I don’t care at all about points, but you just don’t want to go to a thread/community where clearly only one line of thinking is allowed and encouraged. I often read AITAH posts and there are some you just know not to touch with a 8 foot long stick even if you have something to add to a disc…

I was replying to a comment stating that if a guy says “wow, it’s fascinating you are Asian!” it’s immediately means he’s some sort of a pervert. I disagreed, saying you need to see the big picture, a person may be genuinely interested in you while simultaneously admiring your looks. Only Siths deal in absolutes. My intent was not to offend anyone but to engage in a discussion. I do appreciate the replies disagreeing with me, but downvoting like this means that I’ll just refrain from commenting …

Respectfully disagree, I’m dating a half Asian half English guy and I’m fascinated with how he looks on top of MANY other things I like about him. I’ve also migrated to another country and I’m exotic here, I don’t see what’s the issue is, assuming all normal checks are in place, namely, get to know a person for a few months before falling for him.

Well, I admit me and bf have financial disagreements. But you have taken a very interesting point on a job from home. I used to work from an office. I can’t enjoy working from home more, it’s freedom. I really like what I do too. I’m anxious because the job itself is anxious (deadlines, expectations etc), but it would be equally anxious at the office. The job is commission based therefore it’s stressful. So I cannot change this without changing careers. I agree that SAHM may miss the social aspe…

Well, I think I need to re-post my original post to FSD to get local opinions. However, my boyfriend is very sweet otherwise. I have a nervous job and a neurotic personality (kinda of Elliot from Scrubs), and we work very well together. He calms me down, he is reliable and sweet etc. I don’t know - yet - where is this line when you break up with otherwise great people.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/02/20 12:31 AM

Unfortunately, this is the case. I don’t have an issue as long as half of the bills etc gets covered. But yes, finances is the only point of tension sometimes. He has a job in government which is more stable then mine, we earn about the same, but mine is freelance. There is no chance he gaves up on his hobby (collecting comics). I also think it’s a cultural thing. I’m expecting a man to pay for meals, events entries etc and while initially he was surprised, now he is doing it.

I know my bf is frugal (with everything except his hobby) and actually sent him an original post with a big “no”. Just in case:) He has been good with presents otherwise and given me a non-expensive but cute jewelry (maybe in $200s). My family is in jewelry business so I’m not expecting him to match things I already have, but I’m glad he seems to have a good taste. Just hates spending money on anything which is not hobby-related. So i know $200 necklace or earrings is a big deal for him.

It’s so sad that young girls and many women fall for this treatment, many don’t know any better. I know I did in the past. I wish parents explained relationships more to teenage girls so they don’t fall prey easily:( It’s so easy, surprisingly, to be mislead into thinking that you just won’t find anyone better.

I believe it’s a couples holiday:) I agree that men are expected to give you flowers and maybe some jewelry (kinda traditional VD gift) at the very least, but it’s good to give him a little something (perfume, cloth item etc).

What I’m confused about is that asking a man out and asking a man to marry you are somehow considered feminist things to do?... is it supposed to empower women?... I’m firmly in the camp that men should ask women out and to marry them. I’m also believing in equal opportunities for men and women. One doesn’t contradict another as men and women are different, but that’s a good thing! It seems many people are honestly confused. They want to be viewed as independent and fierce, but by showing men ho…

I kinda like how cool HQ looked in Suicide Squad and I find her Birds of Prey costume tacky and messy. Margo looks stunning regardless but I am disappointed with costumes in this new movie overall. They are nothing special. You absolutely can empower and establish yourself while still looking sexy. I do like an idea of showing her breaking up with Joker and going on her own:)

I’m wondering why are you “afraid of people”? You said you like people in general and not introverted, yet you used such strong words. This sounds concerning. Also sounds like you desperately need to get sex and touching longing out of your system. Maybe try various hook up sites aka tinder, as a short term remedy.

I personally don’t like salsa as it is too fast. But you may find Zouk or bachata enjoyable! Community is normally very welcoming to beginners, especially guys. Guys have a harder learning curve than girls, it’s harder to lead as a beginner than to follow, and you don’t know many patterns yet so you afraid to be boring. But after about 6 months - year guys become super popular as they learn a few patters, and as I said in my original comment, there seem to be significantly more girls at most eve…

I’m sorry you feel this way. I don’t know your age, but I assure you that many women of different ages are looking for a nice guy. If anything women constantly complaining about the dating and how hard it is to find a partner! I mean no disrespect, I don’t know you, but you sound like you so much crave intimacy (both in spirit and sexual) you tend to immediately look at girls through these lenses. Why? Just curious? There are other activity groups where you could meet people and it wouldn’t be as awkward as asking perfect strangers out on a date. I did various martial arts for 5 years before I started dancing (more fun!) and there are more guys, yes, but sometimes a few girls too. I would recommend capoeira as there definitely will be good looking fit people. I do Latin social dancing a lot and I wish guys were taller. I’m 174 and almost cannot wear hills. It’s not even about sexual preference, it’s about having trouble executing complex (thus fun) moves on the dance floor. I have to bend my knees more than normal when I do any tilted spins. I absolutely want guys be taller than me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/01/20 07:52 AM

Try Latin dancing. If you are good looking (I’m not saying super handsome, just average-good) and fit, you would be in a crazy demand as a dance partner. It’s a great way to meet people, make friends, and many ppl meet their partners. And it seems there tend to be waaaaaay more girls at our dance parties:) If I was a guy, I would totally do Latin dancing, as early as possible. Great fun.

I totally get it, but something about intentionally leaving the wallet at home rubs me the wrong way. It’s an unnecessary risk to take (unless your phone has a virtual wallet, sorry, I’ve never use this technology maybe it’s the same) I’m actually curious how OPs date reacted when she said she left the wallet? was it a long awkward silence? I read that he didn’t comment but cannot visualize it.

Sometimes a girl would like to wear heels on occasions as they make the lines look better. I dance socially a lot and I’m relatively tall (174), so majority of guys are shorter here. It makes it much harder for me to dance with them (I had to bend my knees more, it’s hard for balance when exercising spins and make me look less smooth). I don’t like that I’m kinda forced to wear no heel shoes, as they rarely go well with dresses or yoga pants.

I don’t mean to be disrespectful but for the discussion sake, I think proclaiming that the gentlemen will be paying the bill would do women as a group more harm than good. He doesn’t own you money for dinner. Yes, every self-respecting man would pay for his date. After all, he has chosen to invite this girl! But if a guy is a “meh” then asking him for money like that would turn into a very awkward and even hostile situation.

I believe that men should pay on dates, unless the girl is really mean, but your “hinting you forgot a wallet” made me cringe a bit. You should always have some money on you, just in case, for your own needs and safety. If I was a guy I would not appreciate my arm being twisted that way. This is assuming you weren’t able to pay with your phone, also you would be in trouble with a restaurant if he left you like this. He is a stranger! I think if the date went well overall, a split bill is not the…
