Agreed, man. I used to utilize the tactics I learned here, but with little effect because I was too scared of the outcome... lots of anxiety and misery. Now, I almost disrespect the notion of picking up women by acting so casually nonchalant and goofy about it.

Thanks man. I think the "sorrys" actually helped. It gave off a vibe of sudden concern which had her looking pretty curious and concerned as well. The kiss was the last thing she was expecting.

I don't think there's anything wrong with casual politeness. I always try to act like a gentleman... i.e. hold the door open, pick something up if she drops it, etc. It's when she asks you to open the door, or pick something up that it potentially becomes a shit test. In the case you mentioned, if I was asked to hold a phone, I would, but I would examine it and maybe jokingly refuse to give it back. Or if it were a book, I would make it the focal point and joke about it.

True stuff. Early on in practicing seduction, I was a total dick. Turning fear into grumpiness is an easy and convenient step.

By showing how your needs and wants are as important as hers, by displaying confident body language, by speaking your mind, etc.

Well I really didn't have time to analyze the conversation at the time. I said it, and in hindsight it wasn't the best choice of words. But 90% of communication is non-verbal, and my smile and light hearted demeanor spoke louder than what could have been interpreted as arrogant, I suppose. I guess that's how it ended well.

One thing that helped me was realizing how common 'oneitis' is. Everyone has had someone in their life like that; someone they can't stop thinking about, someone they can't seem to move past. I know I did. And I moved past her. Just remember how common it is, and how attracted you will be to that next someone who enters your life.

It was a shit test, so I laughingly said, "Fuck you, I wasn't a little boy."

Exactly. The OP is such a fucking idiot. Going around touting the fact that he's happy and trying his best to offer advice. I quit reddit.

You're right, it has been said better, and for that matter, there are experts here that have achieved things I never may. I simply wanted to offer advice to anyone who is where I was. But I do appreciate the input. :)

I try to never focus on "confidence". Why? Because confident people never do. Confident people are more concerned with their own needs and schedules to worry about how they're being perceived. The easiest way to take my mind off the anxiety that sometimes comes with talking to women, is I only focus on how badly I want them naked. I tune out everything else in my mind and only think about that one thing.

I make sure that the interaction is a positive one, if nothing else; they should leave feeling better than before. I maintain a high energy level and make sure the conversation is working towards sex. I rarely spend more than a couple of minutes with a woman I don't know. I'll usually drop a compliment, maybe ask a couple of questions, and then a phone number. You know that moment when a woman is talking to you about something you don't care about, and you find yourself trying to maintain a smil…

I forced myself to become really busy, and upon doing so, noticed a distinct shift in my priorities. That, and patterning myself after successful people I'd observed, I started maintaining a high energy level.

When there's that awkward silence and others get kind of "oh-shit-it's-the-awkward-silence" looks on their faces, I'll just make a juicy fart noise with my mouth. Yep. A regular Carey Grant.

"Being First" really only applies in person. As for the whole phone tag game, I choose not to play along. I called that woman I was with the following day, and in a conversation that didn't span more than 30 seconds told her I wanted to see her the next night. She said she was working that night and she'd let me know when she's able. Now... Every fiber of my being wanted to send a text, call... Anything. It drove me crazy for a bit. But I had to remind myself not to care. How would I act if I di…

About nine months ago. One girl I'd previously dated asked what the fuck happened to me, that I used to be such a little boy.
