No. Women are people just like men. 🤦‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 10:31 AM

The issue is if a man is attractive and wealthy, why would he pay for what he can get for free? It destroys the value proposition on both sides.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 09:47 AM

“The men that frequent strip clubs / sex workers only offer money” 🤯 She’s taking her work which filters out men looking for relationships and chooses men looking to pay, then is shocked when the relationships are transactional or that the man’s primary method of initiation is financial. You can’t make this up.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 09:38 AM

He’s teaching you to make more money as a part of his business model. It’s not valuing yourself as a person, it’s valuing yourself as an asset.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 09:34 AM

You’re talking about tricks not men in general. You’re taking your work clients / Johns and thinking it represents normal men. It doesn’t.

I didn’t say sad pathetic. Where did I say that?. I said simple. Not extremely high cost, expensive flowers, expensive complicated items. You can have a nice classy wedding without having to spend crazy amounts or stress yourself out over insane details to impress people. Some people are happy with gold bands, but she wants a diamond. Not understanding or having good taste without needing to spend lots of money is a you problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/26 07:40 PM

If men planned weddings, they’d usually be small simple and inexpensive. The reason weddings are expensive is because the bride wants a huge expensive party and he does most of the paying. It’s not some elaborate gift for the man that she plans for him. It’s for her. You think men really like flowers, diamond rings, fancy cakes, brides mates dresses… at those prices?

He defers to what she wants. It’s a privilege to be the one that decides the house you buy. Just admit it and stop tap dancing. If estate agents said “if ignore the woman and sell to the man” because he’s the important one to convince, you’d call it misogyny.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/26 09:09 AM

If you hear real estate agents talk they say to sell to the wife. If you can convince her about the house, the husband will go along with it.

What’s irritating is that anything that’s clearly a privilege, they are quick to reframe as not being one. Being the one that chooses how you want to spend money someone else earned is a huge privilege. Who’s the one that steers the wedding and has it tailored to her tastes? But they focus on picking out toilet paper like that’s hard.

If men are really slacking off like they say, what are they doing while the wife is slaving away around the house? Is he kicking his feet up and going for a 12th round of Helldivers 2? Or is he at work coming home late, leaving early? It’s seriously going to consistently be okay for him to grab another beer and watch the game while she’s vacuuming, cleaning, cooking? That’s a feature of many houses? I’ve seen men from very traditional cultures (where is not normal) willingly take on house work w…

It’s not that they aren’t interested in the space but still attend, it’s their behavior in the space. If a woman wants to attend a more male space, nothing wrong with that just be a good citizen. But when she is flirty with people she’s not even interested in, tries to get special treatment, complains about everything, tried to change the space to suit her, doesn’t contribute then complains when she isn’t treated like the people that do, that’s the issue but it would be an issue no matter who di…

Says who? Where are the hobby police dictating these rules? Your “should” really is an “I want them to”. You don’t decide that for people but feel free to stick to it yourself. People can join hobbies for all kinds of reason. People take up golf because it’s a great way to network with people in business or join cigar clubs or other groups where a particular kind of person hangs out. People do things for a variety of good reasons beyond the surface level reason that is obvious. Many social activ…

Why can’t both be true? Why can someone enjoy a hobby but also want to meet a woman through it. Why do you need to take such extremes? And then you add the negative framing of “going there to hit on women” … like that’s even fun thing guys love doing. Newsflash, there is absolutely nothing wrong with doing things to meet a potential partner. If someone joins a hobby group, is respectful of the space and tries to meet a partner in a decent manner, they aren’t doing anything wrong. If someone is a…

Okay I’m talking to someone who disagrees with official definitions of words. This guy is in the same category who threatens violence if she refuses to you? Crazy talk and you just dilute what the words means. Coercion can now be making an offer. 🙄

Here is the definition of demand: “To ask for something forcefully, in a way that shows you do not expect to be refused” Where was he forcefully in his asking? In his request he specifically says that if she’s not okay with it we should go our separate ways. That’s a far cry from “not expecting to be refused” when he says what he feels they should do if she’s not okay with his request. Here is what yourself and others here are doing now and do often. When confronted with something you don’t like…

I have nowhere said I think this will be successful or it is a good approach. I have said it’s honest. I think it is extreme after a date to feel that unless date 2 ends in sex, he should move on… but if that is how he thinks it’s better he let her know and there isn’t anything wrong with being honest about his position. If he is going to hang out at someone’s place it shouldn’t be wrong to have an honest discussion about sex if that’s what he wants. It’s more honest than going over, planning on…

But if your example is coercion, these are all coercion too or is it okay as long as it’s non sexual? By your standards #4 is sexual coercion. He has to respond to her hints (even if he’s not ready) or she will reject him. Wouldn’t threatening to leave if he doesn’t marry, be financial coercion?

What did he say that demanded sex? Asking for something is not demanding. You’re intentionally misusing that word to imply something. That’s not true.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/26 05:03 PM

Definitely. The we have sex on the second date or I’m out signals low actual interest in her, but being that honest about how he feels gives her a chance to nope out. In “normal” dating, he would be expected to keep dating her, to make his love and then if he gets sex, he’d possibly still leave. She might say no, I don’t get physical so fast and suggest something else that he agree to or leave. It’s better around if everyone is upfront. It saves a lot of confusion and pretending but as is clear …

Due to social norms, what he’s done is considered weird (his delivery was weird) but if people were this upfront with each other, I think society would be in a better place. Even seducing someone involves both of you participating in something without openly acknowledging what you’re doing. This leaves so much grey area for things to go wrong, bad actors, manipulation and consent issues. You don’t come over to “have sex” you come over to Netflix and chill but what if the other person just wants …

What I realize is the ball has to always be in the man’s court. If he does anything to pass some of the responsibility back to her, they will complain and find a way to point fingers at the man. Even though it’s against cultural norms, he is very right to clarify what they are planning tonight. Sure he could use the voice memo to claim she was interested in sex before forcing himself on her… but he could also use them to absolve himself of guilt if he didn’t. The people here talking consent, are…

I think the way he delivered it wasn’t the best but dating would be in a way better place if people were upfront about their feelings and desires. Instead we have a convoluted game where you can actually want to have sex, plan to have sex but aren’t allowed to actually talk about it until you’re about to do it.

He didn’t demand anything. He asked politely. Why would anyone “enforce consent”? There is nothing wrong with both being in the same page about sex before going over but still having to listen if she says “no”. Enthusiastic consent was the standard a second ago, but now he asks her to be clear, it’s “enforcement”.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/26 01:47 PM

You can pre give consent! But you can also change your mind. Saying “I’m down to have sex tonight is consent but doesn’t mean you HAVE to follow through”. Ironically going over to “Netflix and chill” then expecting him to make a move because you have given hints, or him trying to see how far things can go is FAR less honest and gives room to far less explicitly consensual situations than this. What I think you don’t like is he is being very upfront in a way that avoids most of dating ambiguity. …

Yeah and they have it worse than western women in terms of the core metrics they would measure for equality. Therapy can be useful but you have to find the right one and that’s hard, especially with no help or guidance. Especially for the issues that men face. Some issues also can’t be fixed with therapy they require action, solutions, help, resources or just accepting them.

The left actually tries to address these issues but it’s honest enough to admit it’s difficult. The right just lies and says vote for us, we’ll build a wall and make America great. The lie is more appealing than the truth as you can’t tell which is which till much later.

There are attractive women without makeup. If you need makeup to look nice, it’s because you naturally aren’t that attractive. It’s like a guy saying he needs shoe lifts to be tall. He just isn’t naturally tall so does things to compensate.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 07:25 PM

They don’t have to put on make up. They do it to look more attractive but they don’t have to do it. Women that are naturally attractive don’t need it at all. You fall in love with someone when you are both younger and grow old together. You build familiarity, trust, comfort, go through things together, have children and you both change. I think the connection you build counteracts aging and goes above what a younger body could offer, so greying hair, aging skin, changing body shape don’t change the person you see. The man is also aging, losing hair, looking older and she has to love him despite him not looking the way he did 20 years ago. Aging and c…

When you look at money and see the amount as “getting more / less” you’ve already lost. You have a mindset that isn’t compatible with family. She births the children because she’s the only one that can. From that she gets her own children. That’s worth more than a monetary amount. She does not have to do more child care. Are the majority of those men able to run a household? Can they clean up to the women’s standards, cook, grocery shop, maintain the children etc? I’d argue a lot of them can’t. You’re acting like men somehow can’t live on their own. When you actually ask married men, it’s nothing to do with “standards” she just wants things done her way. Lesbians get to experience how other women can be toxic and express it in ways that most men would be gaslit or told to be quiet. The male role in relationships isn’t at all fun or privilege and power like some would frame it. Sometimes it’s obligation, expectation, judgement, pressure and heart break. All of these things are unacknowledged and endured in silence.

Men don’t “get sex from women”. Women don’t lose a finite amount of sex each time they have it with a man and the man doesn’t still have a piece of a physical quantity called ‘sex’, when he leaves. It’s a shared experience. Women actually want to have sex too and start complaining if men don’t pursue them. Let a husband stop initiating with his wife and see how she takes it. There are probably as many crappy women as there are crappy men. The thing that creates the imbalance in dating, is men making the first move almost exclusively. Women receive a disproportionate amount of attention and validation, compared to men, because they can sit back and expect offers to come in. It’s an entitlement. Men being responsible for asking and being rejected forces them to lower their standards so telling them to just have standards isn’t going to fix that. Especially in the age …

It the classic redefining words so they aren’t/are applicable in situations that are inconvenient to their cause. One word they don’t like takes on an extremely strict meaning so it is can never be applied, while the word they like can be applied liberally. I just simply reject their redefinition of words so they can’t stack the deck in their favor.

By that metric, most men are financially stable. Even more so than women right? It’s soft language for “someone that earns a lot more than me”.

My problem is equating this to“good” and then saying “there aren’t many good men”. There are lots of morally good men and of nice men but very few that meet her standards, which have little to do with being a good person. So she acts like men are mostly wicked people. /r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 03:12 PM

Financially stable = Financially in the top 10%. Generous = will spend it on her. Fun to be with = constant source of novelty, emotions, and surprises (ie spending money on surprises) Kind = does things for her and gives things to her She’s being vague and acting like they are small asks but actually if you were to ask her to be more specific, she’d end up describing someone way out beyond what she offers. I think there is way more to it than that and you’re showing how you think men value you only based on your looks, which isn’t true. He said men will always prefer the looks of women in their 20s. That’s pretty much true. For the most part women (and men) look better in their 20s. That doesn’t mean that that’s the entirety of a woman’s value proposition to a man at all. He might marry a woman and love her in ways a superficial glance at a younger woman could never replace. Men have the range of …

Any time men find alternatives to dating a particular group of women, there are complaints. Age gaps, sex robots, dating another race, watching adult content or going abroad. It’s all the same, there will be people ready to shame you in to constraining your choices to them while they enjoy the broadest selection of men possible and encourage the complete opposite behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 04:56 PM

Probably but the way women choose men and have influenced the dating market based on their preferences has made them very likely to choose bad men. If a woman can disregard a man for answering her text messages to quickly or because he’s too “nice”, she’s gonna end up with a bunch of men who are the opposite and she can’t complain about that. Some men are covert jerks but it’s the ones who are overt assholes who seem to be being picked.

The other side of the coin is that purity culture is pretty harmful. People end up getting married to the wrong person, or have hang ups after years of suppressing their sexuality. Extreme promiscuity and purity culture both have big problems.

I don’t think it’s conservative ideals, they just want men to act in ways that benefit them at their his own expense. Men pursuing and paying for dates from a woman who is seeing multiple other men isn’t traditional. It’s not conservative, they just want to extract that part of tradition because it makes their lives easier. They somehow aren’t influenced by the traditions around chastity.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 12:17 AM

Friendships won’t replace the need for a romantic connection and the reverse is true too. This lie is going to blow up in people’s faces when they’ve squandered their time to find a partner and realize their friends can’t give them what they need and are too busy raising their kids.

A lot of men’s behavior is a result of having to almost exclusively make the first move. If that expectation went away, a lot of the desperation would too.

A huge differentiator is that men have to make the first move. They have to openly express their desire, court and pay, while women don’t. She could easily have a very successful dating life and never make the first move. Men might be on a technical level as attractive as a woman (facial symmetry, features, etc) but what makes a man “beautiful” at things that only a small percentage of men have. A woman can be short or tall and still hot in photos. A man has to be in a high percentile of height to be hot. The things that a man could have to compensate for not being exceptional can’t be displayed on an app. Apps give women the home court advantage by appealing to a strength (looks), in addition to the fact that me…

Violated is a pretty strong word for receiving a picture you don’t want. Almost things you list are a result of male biology vs female biology. Men are physically stronger so are more dangerous, or their biology confers not having certain concerns. These things can’t be changed or at best can be mitigated through strict rules around dating. The other problem is if she does choose the 7 who is in many ways better than her, she still thinks she settled. I think it can be both but now the guy has no idea what she means. Some women bring up other men, to try and make him feel jealous not knowing it’s a complete turn off. Others bring up other men who are the polar opposite of you seemingly as a way to let you know you don’t match up.

The only time women who think like that approach is if the guy is just so far out of the range of options they have and has way more to offer her than she has to him. When you are in the masculine role to do feel more or less powerful? The masculine role ‘looks’ more powerful but in actuality is high pressure and the woman is really the one in control. He has to jump through the hoops she sets, at the right time or she loses interest. Men sometimes look powerful, but are actually subservient to a set of expectations and pressures.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/25 08:23 PM

This is how women end up consistently choosing men that “want one thing”. If guys that aren’t pushy physically are left alone, all you get is men that are primarily sexually interested.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/25 08:20 PM
14

They have it easier than men but still don’t like it. A woman dating a woman hasn’t put her into the “man” box with quite all of the male expectations or negative connotations of what a man is. She’s not a physical threat, not expected to pay, can be understood if she doesn’t quite tick all of the expectations… and still isn’t good enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/25 02:16 AM

Also you need to consider that this avoidance of rejection results in women dating the men they complain about. The type of guy that goes for a kiss on date 1, is likely primarily interested in you physically and not on a deep level. The type of guy that waits until he’s emotionally attracted to you is as rejected. Women expect a lot of things that result in them dating men who have shallow interest in them.

If you’re someone that’s getting a reasonable amount of matches you can do this. Most men can’t.

For guys that don’t get many matches, keeping their standards high means no dating at all.

The problem for men is that being the one that actively initiates, does the pursuing, makes the first move, does the courting etc puts a lot of pressure on you to lower your standards. If you have to deal with a lot of rejection, it can seem like feedback saying you have less options than you think. Conversely, women get the opposite and the feedback tells them to be picky, men on their level or better are a dime a dozen.

This is really the heart of the issue with modernity. “Men have to embrace their traditional roles or die out”. No expectation of women to make any concessions. They should keep modernity and all of the benefits, while men are expected to struggle even harder to achieve a traditional role that women compete with them in. It’s just not feasible. There have been times where women have made way more of an effort to express interest. Even now if a man is attractive enough, women can be very aggressi…

I don’t see anything wrong with wanting to be desirable it’s just the dishonesty. If they had to admit that they were wearing provocative clothing to the gym, to get attention, people could call them out and question the appropriateness of their behavior. Instead they deny it and it’s become so normalized that we don’t acknowledge that clothing that form fitting is presenting your genitalia to the public. Because of this, the same behavior is passed down to younger women who aren’t mature enough…

I don’t really think that’s true. Men and women validate each other. Being asked out is a form of validation and being accepted is also a form of validation. A man that never got a date 1000 years ago wouldn’t feel good about himself. The reason boys are struggling with becoming men is that access to the things men are valued for have been reduced by societal progress. Part of the issue is we have moved to a more equal society between the genders while still holding men to the same expectations …

I genuinely don’t blame young women for leaning so heavily on their looks. When trying to figure out some kind of self worth, I think most people grab on whatever they can. Female beauty is such a super power relative to everything else whether that be intelligence, some kind of career, being a good person, moral values, etc that it would be impossible to resist. Conversely this also causes a lot of insecurity and harm as the standards become so high with everyone competing for this very visible…

And let’s be clear, when men are attractive enough that women do shoot their shot, their behavior is abhorrent. Groping, sexual comments, pushiness, being forceful, not taking no for an answer, even attempts to get pregnant. Ask bouncers who work in clubs around celebrities. I don’t think it’s that women are morally way better than men, is that they can usually get what they want without having to put themselves out there and risk creeping out most men.

And if you say anything about being careful where and when you show off your body, you are called a misogynist. You really have to consider WHY online dating apps are majority men. Men are socially tasked with doing the looking, initiating and pursuing. If they aren’t acting, their options drop to zero. Why are men expected to do this? To protect women from experiencing overt rejection. Women have their options present themselves. A guy that likes her must show his hand first and initiate. To have dating options, she doesn’t need to do much actively. Guys constantly have to take the initiative while women…

Women seem to select for guys that display traits (obvious to other men) pointing him being a poor long term match. If a man was meeting one woman he’d met or been introduced to in his local town, going on a few dates, meeting her father, before settling down in a short amount of time this would make sense. This isn’t how dating is being conducted anymore. Women are going on way more dates than men. Online dating gives women access to a lot of men, while not giving most men many more choices. This is complete nonsense and really a deflection from the core issue of holding men to “traditional” roles while women aren’t held to any of them and the world is also non traditional. I think a lot of the messaging to single women, telling them that being single is way better and happier, is gonna blow up in their faces as they get older. It’s part of the lie women were told that men’s lives were all amazing and we were having an amazing time at work leaving the wife to do the boring stuff at home. Working for someone isn’t fulfilling. I think men found fulfillment in sharing what they had earned with a family they loved but the work itself wasn’t fulfilling. Other things in life matter way more. Modernity is adding men’s burdens to women and selling it as empowerment.

30 is not “the wall” as if you suddenly expire. There is hope. They say women are “happier” than men. Didn’t say they were happy. Men might be miserable and women slightly less miserable would qualify as “happier”. I just think most people would like to have someone in their life that’s a romantic partner that stays with them because they like being around them. If you were being honest, you’d admit that men are above women in some ways and below women in some ways. In areas of being cared for, not having to risk their safety (physical or emotional), having options (primarily a mother or primarily a worker), receiving sympathy, being seen as the one in the right in a relationship dispute, being loved intrinsically… women are above men. Men need to be elevated in ways too. All we are doing right now is bringing men down.

Feminism is such a broad label that it’s very hard to know what the person believes without investigating. I’ve heard some really reasonable feminists. Most of what makes it in to the mainstream is pretty dumb. A lot of women aren’t really aligned with the deeper points feminists make. For men, love is earned. They generally have to do something (ask out, make the first move, pay for dates, risk rejection…) to be loved. Most men are not intrinsically loved and the moment they stop being useful is when they are discarded or ignored. The idea that a love or being wanted is even earnable is better than the default of being invisible so they will take it. Being great is a struggle of the top 0.01% most men are never going to be great.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/24 12:48 AM

I think it’s a huge mistake to assume that male advocacy is blaming women. I also think the over use of “misandry” as a mirror image of misogyny is a mistake. Pointing out that discrepancies in the systems we live in against men, is an indicator that we aren’t quite living in the patriarchy that always privileges men and always harms women. Sometimes it does but often times there is more going on and sometimes, men get more rights that came with a heavy cost.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/24 11:38 PM

I don’t think you can say these things are due to “misandry” in the same way you can’t say other things are purely misogyny. These are labels that are over used and imply intended harm by a system designed against you. What you can say is that these negative outcomes are indications that society isn’t just designed from the ground up with men’s interests in mind. For the example you gave of Boko Haram. They would often kidnap the girls and kill the boys (we’re talking around 12 years old). OF lowers the bar for entry to adult content to the point that people who would never do adult content join OF without really thinking about the consequences. Again. Never said single people aren’t happy. I’ve said that if someone desires a romantic connection, even if they are happy with the rest of their lives, an unfulfilled desire would be a source of unhappiness in that part of their life. People can be generally happy and fulfilled but have parts of their lives they are unhappy with. You attract who you are. This is something that sounds true but definitely isn’t. Sometimes kind people attract abusers or people with great personalities struggle …

When I say “friendships”, I am talking about guys that they’re either hooking up with, or are friends that give them boyfriend treatment. They may be single but what they are doing couldn’t continue if they found a relationship, so they’re in a bit of a grey zone. They’re not in a relationship but are also doing relationship stuff with someone to technically not quite single either.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/24 11:03 PM

Never said it should be your sole source of happiness. I’ve said that it is an important PART of your happiness, just like having friends, a good career, good family relationships etc. Nobody would say “you should be happy unemployed” to a job seeker. The lack of a job is a source of unhappiness. You may be happy with the other parts of your life and doing well but an important part being missing should bother you. The idea that if you want to be in a relationship, you should already be so happy…

That’s just wrong. While I do think someone that can’t be single and goes from relationship to relationship has problems, I take issue with this idea that ever having a romantic partner at all is optional for most people. As always, they can’t accept that some women are more desirable than them or that they don’t have some of the traits that men are looking for. Admitting that a younger woman may be prettier, less in a rush to marry, have less baggage, be easier going, etc is too painful so they project flaws in to everyone else. The younger woman must be dumb and naive and the guy must have evil intentions. The older woman judging can’t accept any fault even admit she’s not got everything… and that kind of minds…

It would have a very profound on dating dynamics if women had to experience the men’s perspective of dating. Firstly, it would knock women’s self evaluations of themselves way down. The women that claim to be 10s would have to deal with the reality of not getting many yeses and you can’t call yourself a 10 when the world says “no” that often or ignores you until you ask. There are lots of reasons why women won’t like manosphere. One is that having your world view challenged isn’t fun. /r/PurplePillDebate14/07/24 02:48 PM

Right? I just think on dating it’s so easy for a woman to not have to deal with reality. Men do the heavy lifting when it comes to making relationships happen and her friends tell her she’s a 10 even if she’s obese. Why would you bother confronting a difficult reality if you don’t have to?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/24 02:26 PM

If the guy isn’t in some way exceptional he’s invisible. He’s gotta either be very attractive have great game.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/24 02:24 PM

The thing is a mid dude might think he’s above average, his results will remind him otherwise consistently. Not getting dates, not getting asked out, online dating gives no results, no girlfriend, no sex. A mid woman will be asked out, have an active inbox online, have people pay to take her out etc. once in a while a cute guy (who may just be looking for an easy lay) shows you interest. It’s very easy to delude yourself if you get results like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/24 02:18 PM

I don’t think that’s true. Men might be more interested in sex but women want kids a lot especially before their fertility declines.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/24 10:25 PM

I honestly think that this “girl power yaaaaay! Single women without kids are the happiest demographic. I’d bet that those women who don’t have kids/family but are happy truly never wanted kids and would be miserable with them. Both men and women want to pair with each other but firstly, modernity has made a lot of men’s default contributions to society obsolete (labor, protection from the elements, provision). Secondly, men are the ones socially obligated to do the approaching. This upsets the perception of desire as she gets to sit back and have men who are interested, make it known. /r/PurplePillDebate13/07/24 09:20 PM

I think part of who women view as attractive is based on how they view themselves. She described herself and the “sea of amazing women” in the room which indicates she’s sees herself as up there… when in reality, she’s quite average looking and probably overweight. I’d bet there were other decent looking guys but they were 5’10 instead of 6ft so she dismissed them.

I think so too. It’s why the 80% of men on OLD being unattractive is misleading. These are men that would become more attractive if they had a chance to talk to the woman in person and be funny or interesting. Men have other things that make them interesting. Men can’t lead with just their looks because few possess that crazy high level of male beauty needed to do that. Women can just be average and use their looks to be successful dating.

I would consider the “industrialization of women” a contributing factor and that is in some ways a product of feminism. However the big problem now is that people that want kids, simply can’t afford them. Multiple recessions, increased cost of living etc has made it expensive to form families. /r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 05:42 PM

Oh you are lesbian or asexual?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 05:05 PM

Fair enough but even if they are linked, saying a guy that wants to date you is “after sex” is pretty insulting. It’s like me saying a woman that wants to date is after “free money, dates and gifts”. She may even expect those things in a relationship but reducing her interest to those things is insulting. It’s like some women don’t realize that a guy that genuinely is interested in them, likes them as a person.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 04:56 PM

What I mean is in terms of approaching. Just say you’ve never spoken. The guy is unlikely to go across the room and near embarrass himself unless he’s attracted to a the woman. They don’t do the same things to meet women to befriend that they do for wine they want to date.

But there are so many conversations and meaningful topics that could be covered but most of these show want to bring on airheads OF women and be shocked they aren’t smart. They could at least have some intelligent normal women on there but the hosts are often so shallow, they wouldn’t be able to debate someone with a little intelligence. More interesting would be seeing some show where normal women present their ideas. I doubt it would be very impressive but it would be a change.

First time on a dating app, man starts out picky. Reading profiles, crafting messages, filtering out. After low or no success, he decides to rework his profile. Nothing. Starts being less picky, nothing. Oh someone likes me, I’ll pay for premium… she’s 65 and no teeth. Keeps swiping getting less picky. At some point, reading all of the profiles of women that will ignore you is depressing, so just swipe on everything until you’ve used all of your likes each day. Nothing or next to nothing. Get a …

Everyone messages the almost top but also women below medium attractiveness get messaged too. They have options too. Medium women get lots of messages to the point that very attractive women don’t get much more and even the most attractive women get less. This graph does show that men are more inclined to message very attractive women but average women also get a lot of attention too.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 02:45 PM

Ted Bundy somehow went undetected but guys that vent online are easy to spot. Saying so sounds good. It’s gratifying to believe and I’d hope that a woman could pick out genuine misogynist but real life just does not look like that. The funny thing is when you chat to guys who are popular with women, some of them have complete contempt for them.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 02:43 PM

I think there is going to be a big dating crisis as the seeds these dating apps have planted bear fruit. On the women’s side, you have women that have been constantly show that there is an ocean of available men to choose from. They also are told how happy they are being single. On the men’s side, you have a lot of men who become jaded and hurt by the constant rejection. Constantly being ignored, if they do win the lottery and get a date, they still have to do all of the foot work to make it wor…

/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 02:20 PM

Women do that stuff too. Stop lying lol. A guys “no” means “try harder”. If she is a woman with not many options, she can be just as much of a creep.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 02:12 PM

Some are cool. Some turn quite mean regardless of how nicely you say no.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 02:10 PM

I think in a platonic setting a guy is likely to make friends with a woman if she’s cool but I see little likelihood of a guy putting himself in an the same kind of awkward situations he would to ask someone out, to be a friend. He doesn’t even do that to make guy friends. It’s unpleasant and difficult.

I never said women never deal with rejection. Where did I say this? Please show me. You are doing the “failing at objectivity” thing you see women do online. It’s why questions like “rate yourself” get asked because you can’t get a straight answer out of some women. Even when it’s obvious. If a woman’s issue was brought up, you’d be laser focused able to give detailed nuanced intelligently reasoned answers on how things affect women. Now when something that primarily affects men comes up suddenl…

You’re missing my point. In a discussion (nothing to do with if he wants to date her) talking to women can be frustrating because some give answers to objective facts but based on how they feel. They give answer that makes them feel good but can have nothing to do with reality. Women may have “nothing to prove” but we still evaluate each other. Not quantifying something makes no sense. If a guy has to go through a 10 explicit rejections to get a date and a woman has to go through 0, that’s gonna have different effects on both people. It’s like saying “we should measure the wage gap because everyone gets money at the end of the day”. If something hurts, shouldn’t the amount of times it’s experienced be a factor too?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 12:37 PM

When you say most guys, do you mean that in a room of 10 guys and 10 women all of the men would have sex with around 8 of the women?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 10:45 AM

I think women confuse language and say what feels good even though they don’t believe it. Some women will rate their male “besties” as 10s but never consider dating them, “ew”. The host is asking for an objective scoring but some women take objective numbers and make them subjective. There is a bit of a cruelty in asking this online though. I just don’t like it under most circumstances as the motives aren’t kind but I get why guys think like this; dating and women will give you a harsh reminder …
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 10:23 AM
1

That’s part of it on some shows. They’re trying to knock the woman’s confidence. In other circumstances the asker just wants some objectivity on how attractive she thinks she is. If she can give an objective answer at all is progress because some women are impossibly difficult to nail down on anything they don’t want to acknowledge or think about.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 10:11 AM

Some of the guys want to take the women down a peg but in some conversations, they’re trying to get some objectivity in a conversation that is very feelings based. Everyone can have a feeling but without some objective metrics, how can we even talk. A woman calling herself a 10 on some shows when she isn’t even close is an example of some women’s ability to warp language to mean what she wants it to. 10/10 is perfection, no room to improve etc but she gives an answer based on her feelings. People are in fierce competition with each other especially when resources are scarce. I wish this wasn’t real but it is. Hierarchies do exist. Ignoring them is a good idea sometimes and at other times not so smart. A world with less hierarchy would be a better place but we just aren’t there. While I think asking people to rate themselves is a bit douchey now, it has some validity in getting to see how highly they view themselves. How can men meaningfully fight for their rights? Men on masse advocating for their own well-being isn’t really a thing that ever happens. Why? It’s not just that, it’s that men have to make the first move. In a society where women did it in equal measures to men, men would be pickier too. Low standards because of low options.

It’s a constant theme of women denying their power because they’d have to take some responsibility. These discussions just make me think a lot of women are just disingenuous or extremely unself-aware. I really wish women got to date as men do. They’d hate it. From the low response rate to the constant pressure to perform, to her making the fake wallet reach, to the pressure to make the first move at the right time, in the right way etc. Suddenly this would all be seen as “emotional labor” 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate29/02/24 10:51 PM

I really think it takes more time to draw meaningful conclusions like that about someone. Honestly, I see and hear women’s intuitions get it wrong often. They don’t reality test, are impulsive and instead of holding out for more evidence, leap to very wrong judge mental conclusions.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/02/24 10:39 PM

Some of the problems are things women have actively verbalized and it IS picky. He didn’t go for the kiss on date 3 so she lost interest, he likes some trivial think she doesn’t so she didn’t want to see him again. If women’s intuition was really that good, how come you all seem to end up with assholes? How come some serial killers seem to get lots of dates before getting caught? How come some can’t tell the guy with 5 kids by 5 different women isn’t a likely stable person to have kids with?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/02/24 10:35 PM

Yeah. The guy isn’t pretending, he’s presenting an aspect of himself. One version of him. It would be inappropriate for him to go on the date and trauma dump. He has to “perform” because if he doesn’t, it’s back to square one. Maybe a long time before the next date.

You could say the same thing about a woman not “inspiring romance” from her man, so he gets to stop putting in effort. If you read OPs previous post it’s the same dumb idea, that a woman who isn’t having sex with her husband is completely not at fault. A more accurate metric would be to ask “when was the last time you went on a date, had interest expressed in you or had sex?” And try to correlate that with happiness. Women going through the same droughts that men do likely aren’t happy.

Men don’t change because women hold them to traditional gender norms while claiming modern benefits. If women want men to change, choose men who are less traditional. Quick hint, they won’t. Women don’t really lose their sexual leverage in the way RP would like to believe. Sure many/most women lose their looks and lose access to the men they could get in their 20s but they still have guys interested in them. They still will always have filler inboxes than most men. They do have less options than they did and getting commitment from a guy they like way later in life will be hard/impossible but they still have options especially because of social media.

In reality despite many of their life key metrics being better than men, they still get to feel entitled to demand more without earning anything.

Whether it is or isn’t, you have established a boundary which they are trying to cross. That’s a bad sign. I’d verbalize this and if they don’t respect the boundary, end the friendship or at least put distance between yourselves.

If she wants to be a friend she needs to: Respect his privacy, telling mutual friends about it is embarrassing. Give him time. Those feelings just don’t switch off. Let him know if he needs time away that’s okay and you still want to be his friend. Not jump to conclusions that he’s trying to woo you. Allow him to move on. If he finds a new girl or is interested in one of your friends deal with it. Don’t expect him to do all of the bridge building. I’d say it’s also important for her to be safe. …

I’m similar. I’ve been turned down and stayed friends with the person. The things I like about them are still there but I naught take some time out. Another time the woman is so disrespectful of my feelings; telling everyone she turned me down, constantly trying to get me to do stuff for her. I’d been welcoming understanding, even invited her new bf to things I was doing… she just kept gossiping, has a problem when you move on, lying and trying to get me and other guys back who didn’t want to be…

I don’t agree with a single thing you’ve said. If the only difference between your relationship with your boyfriend and best friend (if he is male) is sex and romance, your relationship with your best friend is probably inappropriate. Possibly in the verge of emotional cheating. What about the validation of someone you thing is special, thinking you’re special? Commitment, emotional safety? Companionship? The possibility of spending your lives together? Slowly working towards an extremely deep b…

You can make up any justification for it you want. They are fully aware of their actions when they act awfully. There are zero outs or empathy when a man does it. We need to stop coddling women when they act like complete garbage. Even better how about women do some more of the asking and getting rejected so they get better at it instead of leaving it all to men?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/23 02:08 PM

It really doesn’t. I can tell if I would screw someone in a second but actual feelings can take a long time.

Yeah. It can completely depend on where you are, the culture, the social circles etc. There really are some great women out there. I’ve just seen mostly horrible behavior from women. As you say, if they were friends with deceptive intents that that isn’t good but I think a lot of women like to paint men with this broad brush that makes all men out to be deceptive predators. Loss of a friend is easier to deal with if you paint them as a complete villain. That or if they are someone that felt like they were being manipulated and used as a pseudo boyfriend, it’s way easier to accuse them, rather than look at her own behavior. Some women use men for time, attention, ‘friend date…

Some of the women that have become attractive to me I wasn’t particularly interested in until spending time with them. I honestly think the idea that a guy should 100% be invested in a woman they barely know is part of the problem with modern dating. Also of course… the guy has to lay his cards on the table, swoop in completely invested and risk rejection. Women don’t have to do any of that.

Relationship or sex. Why is the rejection sexual advances so different from a relationship? Women don’t take either well. So a woman gets held to a lower standard of behavior because she doesn’t have to deal with it usually?… but at the same time men have to listen to women tell them how they should deal with it?

Try rejecting a woman as a guy. You’re in for a rude awakening. The women in this thread are mostly full of complete shit. If the shoe was on the other foot, they’d be worse than the men their complaining about.

Whenever I’ve rejected a woman friend, I have never expected her to spend the same amount of time around me or want the same kind of friendship we had. Even worse they stay “friends” but try to get you back, make you jealous, put you down… whatever. A rejection or hurt changes the friendship. That’s life for men and women. Men aren’t entitled to sex, women aren’t entitled to a man’s attention or time.

12-13? Try your whole life never getting much if any attention. “I felt ugly and unlovable”… deal with that for 30+ years. It can crush your soul. I have no doubt that dealing with the opposite is VERY difficult. I can empathize but really have no idea how much it sucked. But dealing with a few awkward years of undesired years as a child is not the same as growing up like that or a life time of it.

What is a young man’s worth? If he isn’t actively pursuing and paying he’s nothing. I don’t doubt that women have to deal with guys just trying to get laid, but young men have to deal with… nothing. They never/rarely get to feel that anything in them is desirable at all. Men and women are superficial about different things. Guys place more emphasis on looks but don’t care about a woman’s money. Women care about looks, just not as much as men but care way more about money. You also have to consider that psychologically and financially it costs men more to date. A guy goes thorough a bunch of rejections to get one date and when he has been “short changed” by a catfish I’d expect him to resent it more.

The idea that men can sit back and wait for women who are all in, comes from such a privileged place. Women do not at all understand how most men, even men with a lot of positive traits and good looking, get zero perceivable interest. They have to take the first step. Unless a guy is what she considers way above average, most women won’t actually do anything to initiate.

Incels make up a very small part of TRP online community. Reducing the discussion to those “losers” is part of why those spaces are growing. Shaming men (by assuming they are incels) who have legitimate issues with divorce, custody, emotional abuse, self esteem, getting help, forming meaningful relationships etc just makes things worse. Even Vaush (who is trying to engage) gets this really wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/23 06:08 PM

The fact that a lot of people aren’t marrying and a lot of young men are single means that TRP isn’t going anywhere until these issues are fixed. Men are still failing in education and dropping out of society. TRP answers some of their questions.

If women had to do the asking and courting with their general level of social skills, they’d be a bunch of 50 year old virgins. Many women think they are socially advanced because they have the deck stacked in their favor. Put them in the male role and they crumble immediately. Communicating with someone else who comes from a different life perspective is hard. Men are putting in all of the effort to build bridges while a lot of women sit back and critique the choice of paint.

Meeting people can be like sticking to Teflon; you meet a new group of people exchange contacts. Message them then… nothing. After a while it just wears you down. Those guys in their 30s are dating younger women, just like those women in their 20s dated guys in their 30s. Guys in their 30s come to realize that a lot of women can’t be taken seriously. The idea that men need to “take the hill” and women should just get to sit there is it’s own problem. Men should stop trying to earn love, while the woman get to be desired just for being. One side is meant to work themselves to an early grave to be loved and the other sees herself as a prize. That can never work long term. Not people need to be working to preserve the relationships.

I don’t even think it’s just looks. Men see a woman’s immaturity or selfishness through the lens of a million excuses why it’s okay for HER to act that way. Behavior they wouldn’t take from a guy, they accept from a woman; violence, lying, manipulation, being self centered. Men have been programmed to see these are something else or acceptable. I’ve done all of those things and depending on the city and a few other factors, it can be really disappointing. Sometimes they were awesome events but the attendance was not so great, even for making guy friends too. Sometimes it seems like women in your age bracket don’t really go out unless it is a bars or clubs. I remember at the end of University accidentally meeting some wine. Who I’d never seen out anywhere before.

How come nobody has made an app that “appeals to the female way of dating”. Doesn’t how a guy looks matter to women? Is there a meaningful way to pick someone beyond surveys, profiles and pictures? Outside of education, my experience has been that women do make more of an effort with other women as friends. They pull someone who seems cool in to the group. Guys also watch out for women a bit and bring them in to their circle (especially if she’s attractive). Unless he really clicks with the guys…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/23 03:54 PM

So on a date the guy has to take you to a nice place and pay… and likely do this on every first date he has?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/23 03:47 PM

…and force women to actually make an effort in the conversations. Guys are “thirsty” because they have to put the actual effort in to make a date happen.

I think when women imagine 5’8” they imagine some dwarf when it’s still quite a bit taller than they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/23 03:41 PM

I’d bet that some try the app, find someone and leave/deactivate once the are in a relationship. Guys stay for the long haul just playing the odds.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/23 03:39 PM

For a lot of guys, clubs/bars are also bad places to meet someone. They are inherently not great places most of the time. Women are out with a bunch of friends so starting a conversation with the one you are interested or the group can be hard. There just aren’t many great places to meet women and form natural friendships without the pressure to turn it in to a date. It’s just too much pressure on the guy in every encounter, with little chance to get to know the person first.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/23 03:37 PM

Or how about women do some of the approaching and asking too? Why is it all left up to men?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/23 03:32 PM

I did it for the same reasons. What surprised me was the guys profiles were just as good as the women’s. Everyone trashes how men take pictures but they were pretty good. I got about 1000 likes per day.

I’ll add… I literally have no idea about what the right answer is to any of what you are asking. They are just things I am considering. I think it is very fair for a woman to have concerns about a guy who does the things you have listed. Those concerns would make a woman more compatible with the way I think about relationships. Women have every right to discriminate based on sexual history too but I think guys that get around are seen as highly sought after by some women, which I don’t understan…

Let’s say a guy has a bisexual history, many women would not want to date him. Even some bisexual women won’t date bisexual men. Many men won’t care if a woman has experimented. Or a woman that has gone from guy to guy and can’t stay single. Once she isn’t 100% satisfied moves on to the next is a bad prospect for long term monogamy. Similarly a guy that was a “womanizer” or serial cheater isn’t a good prospect. He will likely cheat again. Someone that has no sexual history may also be a concern …

Sexual history matters to almost everyone. Some guys probably won’t care if they are in to open relationships. A man or woman should care if they’re partner has an odd amount of sexual partners (crazy high or low) or has some strange practices. If their sexual history predicts some kind of incompatibility in the future it’s a red flag. Sexual history matters because it is part of your entire history. It would odd not to care.

If you have meaningful answers to their questions and issues about dating, you’ll make good progress. If you have things that actually work when trying to find a partner they find attractive, that will do far more to move people away from these ideas. Problem is no one is addressing their concerns.

An alternative take but the need for redpill ideas in men comes from some point of deep hurt. When anyone is hurt, they want to know how to prevent it happening again. These “ideas” are meant to protect men from dating someone who will eventually deeply hurt them down the line. His worry about penis size is a male insecurity exacerbated by porn but also by the powerlessness men feel when it comes to feeling wanted in a relationship or being abandoned. “If we’re having sex, is she dreaming about …

This is definitely true but the point being made here is that men are being criticized for not having any dating success due to not meeting really basic requirements. One post I saw recently claimed the bar was so low, just “take regular showers and not be a misogynist”, as if most of the men don’t meet these requirements. Not being white seems to hurt OLD. If you are in less liberal cities, people will be less open on interracial dating. The way people date in Europe differs to America as the culture is different. If you are in Asia, being white is a huge plus not being white can make things a lot harder. My point is that even for the same person, there can be lots of other factors outside of their control that affect their success.

It’s not really about 50/50 it’s about the contradiction of wanting “equality” but still sticking rigidly to gender roles when it benefits. Even a guy making the same as a woman isn’t good enough in some cases. He has to be more successful than her.

So the men don’t do those things for their wife? Or he’s not working longer hours to bring in more, doing chores, child care etc? So many women make it sound like the guy finishes work at 3, spends the rest of the day gaming and cheating while she is his personal slave. He doesn’t have to sexually please you? No you don’t. You both need to earn enough to stay home. If he makes 70,000 and you make 100,000 even when you take maternity leave, you guys are financially way better off than most of the population. Even one salary is enough to raise a family. The women that say stuff like this won’t date a guy earning 70,000. Also what would be wrong with him being a stay at home dad? Would any of this even change if you decided to not have kids? The real issue is that financially, women don’t like having to…

A 7 with her head screwed on will have a higher quality partner than a dumb super hot woman. Any man worth his salt will eventually see through looks alone. He could be a pushy jerk (most likely) or might feel disrespected at how you are avoiding him. Could be a guy that is frustrated with approaching and getting hurt while making himself sort of vulnerable to you. If it happens a lot, it can build up. Guys can get frustrated with online dating, going to bars or anywhere else and getting blown off. Either way, it’s not your job to “fix”. I think it is the opposite way around, men retreat in to video games, porn, internet etc because they don’t have anything else meaningful in their life. They have no meaningful community, relationships or people who miss them. Those things don’t keep men truly happy at all. They aren’t “hedonism” for guys, they are coping mechanisms.

I think this is the primary factor in a lot of social issues. In dating, it affects women less because men will still approach so women have options but it affects the quality of men they get. Without social filters to validate a man’s character, the chance to really feel a guy out they are left taking risks on guys that approach because they think the woman is hot. Yep. You can just reduce a complicated behavior to a single issue. 🙄 You also just moved the goal post from someone blowing up over some thing small, to them consistently doing it. not really, its pretty easy to observe someone blowing up over something little and realize that they don't know how to regulate their emotions. So after viewing one event, you could “easily” remote diagnose someone as needing therapy (even therapists can’t do that).

Someone losing it might have just had a bad day, but when you can tell there is something way deeper going on is when they need to see someone. Normal people can blow after a very frustrating day. Simply “regulating emotions” (is that the hot phrase now) doesn’t mean a person is well adjusted. That’s the exception though. Ask any woman where the majority of her dates and relationships come from, it’s been a guy asking her out. The idea that women are some emotional geniuses who “regulate men’s emotions” despite it being quite obvious most women have no idea how men’s minds work is laughable. They aren’t even aware they don’t understand men.

Well what do women do to create romance in a relationship? Mostly they complain about a lack of it but contribute very little towards it. Have you ever thought of doing things to make a man want to take you out or be romantic? It’s all on the guy to guess what she wants and make her feel special.

Every time I have just met someone (I am talking just found out their name) and they dump their problems on to me it’s been a woman. In terms of a relationship, why wouldn’t a woman want a guy to share his problems with her? And don’t women rely on their boyfriends as shoulders to cry on?

I honestly don’t think the women that say stuff like have any idea what you learn in therapy. They are also unaware that men process and deal with their emotions differently from women. They expect a guy to come out of therapy and emotionally act the same as her or get her emotions… he’s not the same as you. Most men aren’t walking around as ticking time bombs the same as most women aren’t.

No. Men are expected to do the pursuing. Even if the woman is the most interested, she still expects the man to make the first move. Men doing the pursuing has nothing to do with an men needing women more than women needing men.

It’s advice that sounds great but honestly the results can vary greatly. Depending on where you live, it can just be a poor strategy to meet someone unfortunately. I think it’s that on looks alone, most men aren’t attractive enough. Online dating, or clubs play to men’s weaknesses in attracting women. I think a scenario where women got to know guys, develop trust build some familiarity etc would favor men more. Guys that were meh, would actually become attractive but those opportunities are rarer now.

I just don’t believe this. They go out and dress up partly to do this but they still want male attention/validation. Nobody has made a women’s only club. Women will even go to gay clubs (I have heard this is becoming it’s own problem) but still want male attention. They leave lesbian clubs alone.

For men, “subpar” is way below average. Obese, unpleasant to be around, stupid…. For a guy, being cute, fun, pleasant to be around puts her pretty high up. She can be a very normal everyday woman. For some women, subpar means a normal guy. Unless he is exceptional, he’s subpar.

It is not that men ‘need’ women, it’s that the social norm is for men to do the pursuing. A woman can do next to nothing and fall in to some kind of relationship. Being the active agent changes things. Guys seem desperate and in need of women because they have to act first. It’s like saying a door to door salesman needs the customer. I think a single father is more likely to realize they can’t do everything alone when it comes to understanding their child’s lives. They are more likely to bring someone in when they encounter something they don’t get. I usually see the women think they know everything. They know how to raise a man and can be the father. That’s a matter of perception. A lot of what guys and fathers do is taken for granted. Father’s Day is barely celebrated. But really, I have seen a lot of parental alienation. It’s such a large extrapolation. “The sun rose, so I expect it to continue rising until it never comes back.” It’s redpill fantasy. There are so many other confounding factors. I would expect that to happen if there was some kind of wide scale financial collapse that never recovered. We are on the way to that but likely the market would have to correct itself or lose much of the workforce. This in turn might make crime less appealing than jobs who’s wages would have to rise.

It’s just more complicated than men abandoning some kids. Some fathers are driven away. The mother can be abusive, may take the child and move away, use the courts against him. Denying the father access is one of her punishments for things not working out because she blames him. There is a lot more to the story than the black and white picture of men abandoning their kids. Some women choose men that have a history of not being in the child’s life or have multiple children by different women.

Yeah. I'm not super chivalrous but something about being that hard on women off the bat, just rubs me the wrong way. Shouldn't even do it to guys too. He just came across as a bully on the calls. Wish he calmed down a bit. Sometimes he was right but sometimes it was just over the top. I think he leaned in to the outrage and offense because it was excellent marketing but as a person, it just made him seem like not such a great guy. He would also do stuff that was just disrespectful to callers and…

Yeah. Pretty much my feelings. Sad that he is gone. I wish that his message evolved to be more inclusive of better concepts and a healthier message. I did not like the transactional nature of his idea or the sometimes cruel belittling of his guests. Some of what he had to say were good points and sometimes he was completely right about some of the delusional callers. The harshness of some of his opinions was pretty bad sometimes. I sometimes understood why he was so harsh as some of the callers …

If I approach. I usually notice something unique about them and pay them a compliment. If they aren’t interested, I at least made someone feel a bit better about themselves. Cold approaching is okay, just be considerate of their time, safety and space. It is better to offer them your number so they can decide if they want to contact you. Be pleasant and don’t take too much of their time or put them under pressure.

If you cold approach, just be considerate of the persons space and safety. Make sure they don’t feel trapped or pressured. Nothing wrong with speaking to strangers. If you don’t cold approach, you pretty much have zero dating options.

I think it can depend on your attributes. Some people can work on themselves a little, stand up straight, smile, go out and have a big change in results. For other people race, height, location, looks, social economic factors etc can really make things much harder. These ‘statistics’ can give a sense of justification and comfort for their difficulties. But they become a self fulfilling prophecy. They become a reason not to try and sit back angrily not participating in dating.

What I am seeing at least online is that many women feel that because they have careers and can make money, the man needs to make even more money. Despite having enough, they want even more. A the woman might be making around average salary but wants a man making way more than her because a guy that can’t upgrade her lifestyle is pointless. At least two said so in this post. As an example a woman teacher would think a male teacher is not good enough. He has to be a couple of steps above her to b…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/22 03:01 AM

Men don’t aim for the best looking women when they are looking for a partner. They might try it at the club but experience shows that looks do not mean she will be a good ‘catch’. They aim for a woman that they find attractive with other qualities that matter such as personality, integrity, personality compatibility, being smart and other things that a relationship can be based on. A woman being too good looking might even be a disqualifying factor. I have had older men warn me about marrying ex…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/22 02:49 AM

Some women actually think that unless a guy can provide an upgrade to her lifestyle, the guy is worthless. Women that think like that should go in to escorting or sugar dating and leave the dating pool alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/22 02:41 AM

I don’t think most women think like this. OP is delusional. I really hope she posts again in 20 years. Cats, frazzled eggs, cheap white wine, “where are all the good men”, the one that got away. It’s gonna be immense.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 06:48 PM

It’s ridiculous. I am glad these greedy materialistic freeloaders are exposing themselves. They sound like glorified sugar babies.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 06:38 PM

When he says “average” I think he means normal. A good looking in shape guy in earning $80,000, living in the suburbs, with character, a good heart, integrity, who’d make a good father and husband isn’t a HVM to a lot of women. He’s average to them because he may ‘only’ be 5’10 not drive a fancy car, have a flashy lifestyle etc. These women want CEOs while overlooking some really good men and the criteria they are using to filter these men out are extremely superficial. The first thing that come…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 06:36 PM

Yep. To some women, unless a guy is extraordinary, he’s average. Even if she is below average in many ways.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 06:28 PM

But the criteria of what makes him the ‘best’ might be wrong. Most of the talk in this thread seems to revolve around finances. A guy being rich tall and handsome does not mean he is automatically a great partner. If you can get a guy that is all of those things and a good person than go for it. But being blinded by money, status etc and ignoring guys who have character, integrity, morals will be many women’s downfall. These can even be good looking guys but because they aren’t exceptional they …
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 06:26 PM

Unless the guy is extraordinary, he’s average. I think the growth in the “Manosphere” on YT is due to these delusional standards. Sometimes obese, broke women with kids look down on men that that have nothing to offer, thinking they can do better. Even if OP is a 10/10 in terms of looks, her criteria for judging men is so warped, she will likely end up alone or choosing the wrong guy. It’s really ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 06:19 PM

Nope. It’s to get money out of someone apparently. Even this concept of an “average man” is absurd. It sounds like something that falls off a production line and comes in a generic label. There are lots of average (a better way to say would be normal or everyday) people who have wonderful qualities, character, morals, great personalities, warm hearts, integrity, great parenting skills and many other things that can’t be measured on whatever goofy chart OP is using. These guys being overlooked by…

At some point women have to accept the responsibilities of earning more money. If they want 50% of the leadership positions, that comes with the responsibility of having to provide and marry ‘down’ more frequently. Both earning more and expecting to marry someone that earns even more than you can’t work long term. It will throw society off balance.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/22 10:37 AM

I think the “who has it worse” question is pointless. I think it is enough to realize that each side has significant issues and being a man wouldn’t mean you are gonna live a life of ‘privilege’ and relative ease compared to women. Once you say one side has it easier, people start go generalize and look down on each other. But being a man can be really rough.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/22 10:34 AM

I really think these replies just smell of BS. The women have decided ‘no’ and are now inventing reasons why they aren’t interested. “Too athletic”, “too active”, “too driven”… yeah alright. Like they really wouldn’t give a guy that ticked a bunch of boxes a chance because he was too much. At the top of the list I would guess is color. Being black and in certain locations can make dating pretty hard unless you tick every box and/or are a bit of a stereotype. Even pretty average white dudes do be…

Trans people report being more respected and listened to at work when they present as male. I think it is just an instant exciting connection. Expecting it the first time meeting for a serious relationship is unrealistic and impractical. Sometimes you can’t really tell what is awesome about a person until you have been around them for a while. Sometimes a person becomes beautiful in a profound way after knowing them for a bit. I think the “kiss test” is a good physical standard. If they are someone you’d kiss, give them a chance. If not, move on.

I was talking in the abstract not in your particular case. I said nothing about ADHD or OCD. In the case where a guy is working longer hours to provide is he a jerk for wanting his wife to take care of the house while he cannot? Same if the roles were reversed. Is the person working longer hours a jerk for wanting the things they don’t have time to do taken care of by the person with more time?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/22 04:42 PM
1

Well mostly if he is bringing in the majority of the income, he is likely working more hours too. He is also likely working a job that is more exhausting. Last I heard, when you add up the hours worked inside and outside the house, it was about even between men and women. If he is getting home late trying to provide more for the family, is he really a jerk for letting his wife handle the house work? Also I’m not a redpiller.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/22 03:38 PM

He’s bringing in the majority of the income?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/22 03:28 PM

People seriously think this happens then at the end of the night he drops his pants and expects to get laid while his wife is in an exhausted heap. But he can’t figure out why she is never in the mood.

You’re gonna have to at least look in STEM/professional rich places. The randoms from general population like dating apps would just be too low frequency matches for what you want. What sucks is that there is a lack of community where people can vet and recommend people to date. I am in a similar position to you but doing it as a guy. I am thinking of leaving the country I am in because finding someone I click with on that level just is not likely. The women I want to meet likely aren’t in the c…

/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/22 12:10 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/22 12:08 PM

And bearded ladies!
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/22 12:07 PM

And at the end of it, if you can win the ‘prize’ of taking her on a date, you’ve got to pay. Screw all that who asked who, women want men to pay at the end of doing all of the heavy lifting. If you meet someone, she wants ‘sparks’ on the first date, even though in reality getting to know and like someone takes time. It’s exhausting. I’ve stopped caring.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/22 12:06 PM

And you can bet that that man is also working a full time job plus longer hours. I don’t get how people think a guy just gets home, kicks his feet up and plays games while his wife is cooking dinner, cleaning and taking care of the kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/22 11:53 AM
9

When women make these gestures, they are returning what a guy has done for them or hoping to get something way more in return. A games console would come after a guy has spent way more money on her than she has on him or she is hoping for something from him. I can bet very few women give freely like men do. When a woman spends money on a man, pays for a date, etc, he has already spent way more on her or she is hoping to later get more out of him.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/10/21 10:44 PM

I think it is a bit of envy. A lot of men would love to be objectified by someone they thought was attractive even if they had to deal with some that weren’t. Just feeling desired for once, without the pressure to make all of the moves, is something a lot of guys don’t get to experience.

I don’t think that video is an admission. I seriously doubt anyone is dumb enough to go on TV to advocate that boys as young as 11 have access to a date rape drug. Spanish Fly is meant to be an aphrodisiac and while I do think that it is very wrong to give someone something without them knowing, this has nothing to do with the allegations that he used drugs to knock women out then rape them.

My experience is that men don’t share their emotions because there is zero incentive to. Very few people care when a man is in distress or needs help. Being a vulnerable male can leave you a target. If you do, an older male or older woman is a way better choice than your peers. The matriarchs and patriarchs that can have perspective may understand. If not, a guy that is a good friend. I have found most female peers to be useless to talk to. They just don’t at all understand how lonely men can be…

So close to the truth then goes in to wacky land. Most men don’t get off on the idea of ‘oppressing’ their wives and kids. What do they even get out of it? In class or racial oppression there is access to financial resources. A man oppresses his family so he can hand his check over to take care of them ...🤔
/r/FeminismStopsWhen17/12/20 09:14 AM

Yeah I worded it wrong. I would say the primary importance of a man is as a to society and to family is as a provider and protector. Women get to take on two roles. Obviously men have very many more vital roles to the family. Women often get to choose between their providing and taking care of the family. Men earn more because they have only one choice.
/r/PussyPassDenied03/12/20 01:58 AM

I am talking in terms of resources. Fathers are vital parts of the family but when it comes to money, fathers generally have no other option than to earn, women get to choose between earning and focusing on the family.

Men earn more because they have to. They have no other usefulness to a family other than being a wage earner. A woman has the option of working or scaling back her career if she chooses to once married.

First point is that while there is a criminal element, you have to consider that black crime is partly ‘manufactured’ as in police will arrest and charge a black male far more likely than a white one. He constructed a set of rules that condemn a college student based on just an accusation. The student cannot effectively defend himself as he is denied due process. Women take rejection extremely poorly. They are just less able to physically harm men but if they could, many would. Their go to method is likely going to be some kind of slander or attempt at sabotaging your chances with other women.

It just depends on the situation and woman. Some women like stringing men along, playing with their feelings, giving non-verbal yeses, doing things that imply interest then when the guy takes the bate, saying 'no'. Other times women have to avoid school shooter type guys that they are afraid of. Some women take pleasure in getting validation from men without actually returning it. This just does not work. Both points are faulty. In this case, we are considering the point were a man or woman are between relationships and are looking for some 'fast food' sex. Women can easily get sex (from someone that is around their physical level of attractiveness) but is it from someone she likes? Is it emotionally fulfilling? There are lots of guys that will have sex with her with little effort on her part. If she is going through a 'dry spell' and needs her fix, she can usually get it…

I do actually agree with you. I think the similar pressure for men is to be successful with women. Men are shamed for the opposite and the moment a woman wants to hurt you, she will go for the jugular attacking your masculinity. A movie like the 40 Year Old Virgin while very funny, is a good example of this. But yes, a woman that sleeps around indiscriminately is seen as 'losing value'. Apart from just the cultural bias, there is something different about promiscuous women in a bad way. I can't …

Women do the most of the slut-shaming. A guy may not want to seriously date a woman who hooks up regularly and it is his choice. I can't explain it but something about her just changes in a negative way and she gives of this vibe that makes her seem like someone that is just not suitable to marry. It just feels like you are more likely to be cheated on and dumped. The bitterness she has to the guys from her past will be poured out on you. The mistake is thinking thirsty one-track men are “opportunities” Of those thirsty opportunities there are a few decent men to pick from. The sad reality for women is that this game of musical chairs does come to an end and unless you choose a great guy in time, you will be left out. Then you hear the "Where are all the good men?" which usually means "Where are all the men that had way more to offer me than I had to offer them?".

Another thing I would say is that getting advice from women is awful. Just awful. They know the truth but will usually say what sounds right instead of what is really true. "You are such a sweet caring guy" often means "you are a pussy and boring". Women won't say be assertive, look in her eyes in a way that would show you'd fuck the shit out of her, don't be afraid to touch her etc. When you hear women talk with their friends, the truth comes out. Simply men are judged on other things, status and career being one of them. An awful lot of energy and work goes in to trying to make more money, forcing themselves to do things that are exhausting just to achieve status that can give them choices in women. But personally I wouldn’t ever say yes to a man who proposed in a fast food chain restaurant Even if he was the guy you knew you wanted to spend the rest of your life with? He could be your perfect match in every way and if this was the best he could give you at that time, you would say 'no' because of where it was? Or instead of proposing yourself, you would wait for him to do everything and then reject him if it was not good enough? Love is just so materialistic now. The pressure to perform an…

Honestly, I get concerned when you see young men going MGTOW. Like 18. Fall in love, get your heart broken. See if it works for you. Some people have great marriages. Just use what you learn here to know to be careful. Shock horror, there are actually great women out there. MGTOW is going your OWN way. Not going OUR way. There should be MGTOW concepts but how a person navigated them is their own choice.

If it wasn't for Brie Larson and the current climate, I would take it as so 100% but ah, he was just a douchey boss. Can't read in to everything. If they want to continue down that road, let them and see how customers react. Guys are being overly sensitive.

Yeah. I don't mind the ad. I think people associate it with Brie Larson's douchey comments which taints peoples view of it. Not a bad ad at all. This is the kind of stuff that gets the MRM labelled as pathetic.

It is what I thought, feminists should be at every game. The rafters should be packed with women supporting the game. There are more women in the population too and the NBA puts money in to the WNBA. Sad for the athletes that don’t get recognized but I am not sure how things could be fairer.

After seeing a video of a guy sort of snap in half and crumple, women and most men want none of that NFL action. It was brutal.

I am glad that so much hard evidence is coming out showing women can be just as evil as men, it is just that the methods are different. There was a recent post of a woman that convinced her daughters that their father sexually abused them and it was good to see that the thread could finally empathize with the male. Video and audio evidence is really starting to show that men can sometimes also be victims and that is really important. As for this land whale. She could just have sat on him.

KingRichez. His recent focus on stopping chasing women and getting power is really amazing. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChelK--WqGLW7Qnfc8W-2nw Goes in to some race things which you may or may not disagree with but the videos on not focusing on women are really good.

As a corporation they should distance themselves from someone that brings negative publicity to their image. I think starting a boycott Aquaman 2 campaign might let them know that this will hurt their bottom line.

For laughs I listen to Birdman. Really funny. Most MGTOW content got boring for me. The same topics again and again, the wall, hypergamy, and all that. I just don’t want to spend my time obsessing over women. KingRichez is a REALLY good channel. But not quite MGTOW.
