Thats a false equivilancy. Circumcision doesnt make you give up your career by forcing your body to allow another living being to inhabit it. Sure. Slowly over time, men without property, then black men, then women got the right to vote. Notice, black men got the right to vote before white women. A black man was president before a white woman. Sexism is part of almost every modern society, some more than others, and the U.S. isn't particularly progressive compared to other OECD countries.

Because you are equating a social movement (feminism) with bad actors in the movement. You wouldn't call soviet russia under stalin "communist." Any time there is a social movement fighting for equality, there are overreaches and problems. Do you support minimum wage? The family court in a lot of countries don't care whether you have enough food to eat/roof over your head/how many bills you have after reduction of alimony and child support. The comparison is apt, although the degree to which it is appropriate is relative to the state of women's rights in the country in question. So, it is apt in the India but less apt in the U.S., although the problem is the U.S. is going in the WRONG direction at the moment in MANY ways, not just women's rights but labor rights, freedom of the press, the right to vote...the U.S. is going backwards in many ways.

I have a boy and a girl. I understand your sentiment, but the fact is that women mature MUCH faster than boys in my experience. They are a couple of years ahead in terms of intelligence. As far as "raising" them differently, yeah I do. You have to be MUCH MORE concerned with your daughter getting kidnapped or assaulted by a stranger, although the threat is also there obviously with boys too, particularly with questionable family members as opposed to strangers.
